JustFab has had a monthly VIP club for years now, and I love their styles. So I was thrilled to have the opportunity to try out their brand new styling service, PS by JustFab (PS stands for Personal Stylist)!

It works like many other styling services, such as Stitch Fix, Trunk Club, and Dia & Co. You pay a styling fee and receive five pieces selected for you by your stylist. You only keep what you like and return the rest with free shipping both ways. The styling fee is deducted from any purchases you make, and if you keep everything you get 20% off the total!

When I signed up, I took a lengthy quiz to let my stylist know my size and style preferences. A few days later, I received this email alerting me that my stylist had chosen some items for me. I could just click the link and preview my package.

PS by JustFab Women's Clothing Box - May 2017

There are some styling services that allow you to preview your package and reject items you don't like before they are sent to you, but this was a first. With PS by JustFab, I could keep the choices my stylist made for me, or if I didn't like something, I could swap it with an item on m yJustFab wishlist! And of course, since I am a JustFab VIP, I had tons of items on my wishlist!

PS by JustFab Women's Clothing Box - May 2017

This invoice was included in my package, and the cost to keep each item is listed on the upper right of the page. On the upper left is a note from my stylist, and at the bottom is an adhesive return label.

PS by JustFab Women's Clothing Box - May 2017

The reverse side of the invoice has instructions for purchasing and/or returning the items in the package. The main thing I want to draw your attention to is that you have a generous eight days to try everything on. Nice!

Slub Knit Maxi Dress - Cost to Keep $29.95

I have been searching for a basic black tank maxi dress for a year now, and I think I may have finally found it! It is a little too long, but when you're 5'3", you expect that sometimes. Otherwise, it's pretty much exactly what I was looking for. I think the side slits will be really cute when it's the right length.

Sleeveless Embroidered Top - Cost to Keep $22.95

I usually don't like showing off my arms, but this top is so cute! I think I have to keep it! I think the angle of the spaghetti straps actually makes my arms look a little longer, so maybe that's why this top works better than most sleeveless options for me. I love the color and the embroidery detail, too!

Distressed Boyfriend Shorts - Cost to Keep $29.95

I think I love these shorts, too! White denim shorts are another item I've been looking for summer, and these are awesome! I like that they are distressed, but not destroyed. Cute!

Linen Shift Dress - Cost to Keep $39.95

I basically wanted to proceed with trying on this dress because I haven't owned anything linen in ages. This is because linen wrinkles so easily, and this dress is no exception. That alone would probably make it a pass for me, but I think it's overall pretty unflattering on me. The placement of the horizontal stripes is pretty fattening, and the sleeves are too big and a weird length.

Tassel Hem Shift Dress - Cost to Keep $42.95

I like this dress, but I don't love it. I think it would be better without the pockets. I do love the tassels, though.

Verdict: I am really enjoying my subscription to PS by JustFab! A couple of months ago, several readers commented that sales and discounts from JustFab do not apply to items in this service. That is true and could be a very valid reason to not try this service if that is a motivating factor for shopping at JustFab. They have great sales! Frequently! For me, personally, I like the fact that I can try a variety of styles I have been eyeing lately. If I keep everything, the 20% off is generous. But if not, I can always earmark an item I might like to purchase later when it's on sale. Everyone has their own shopping strategies, and this one totally works for me!

What do you think of PS by JustFab? Have you tried them yet?

I’ve been on the waitlist for two months already, and they’ve made it pretty clear I’m not coming off any time soon ):

Both of the tassle items look wonderful on you. I waited too long to order the black tassle dress and am kicking myself!

I checked all of the clothes in my first PS box against sales prices on JustFab, and every calculation made the 20% off the total of everything on the ticket purchased together, less money charged than paying sale prices for things that were on sale and adding them to full priced PS items that didn’t get the advantage of the 20% off. So, it’s better to buy everything and get the 20% off than to worry about what’s on sale on Just Fab!

Love the tasseled top on you. Great colour and fit. I got one myself and I think it is too big for me but the neckline works so well. Have to say I am a just fab sale junkie.

You could buy two of those Black Maxi’s at Old Navy for the same price, and I suggest you do!! Black Maxi dresses are my summer staple. I love all the other outfits except the Linen “thing” I don’t think anyone would look good in that.

Anna

Thanks THEResa! That’s a good tip about old navy!

Omg thank you Amy!

if the linen dress was made into an empire waist dress it would be splendid. that would eliminate a lot of the horizontal lines.

looking gorgeous as always, anna!

The linen dress looks like a hospital gown lol. I like the second black dress the best, pockets and all. The red top is also cute.

Michelle

Agree about the linen dress lol and also the 2nd black dress is the cutest item to flatter your figure.

Anna

Thanks y’all! Idk the linen thing looks so cute on the model ijust thought it was worth a shot. Now we know!

I can’t deal with the way linen wrinkles. A friend of mine once told me “yes linen wrinkles, but their RICH wrinkles!” But I still feel disheveled when I wear linen, especially in a dress.

Anna

Exactly! I wore a linen dress to work once long ago and at the end of the day just thought, wow. This is just not cute. And that’s back when I was quite young and way cuter! Thanks Beth!

I like the sleeveless and the last dress best for you, but for me, I like the prices best!

Anna

Finger guns to you, Tammy! The price is right! Thank you.

My favorite piece is actually the last black dress with the tassels. I love it even more because there are pockets.

I agree!! The last black short dress is the most flattering IMO. The other outfits are cute but the last one really stood out.

Carrie

Agreed, this dress looks amazing on you!

My favorite too. Looks great on you. That and the sleeveless tassel top.

Thanks y’all!

I really like the black maxi dress, the red top and white shorts goes great as an outfit, and the last black top with the tassels and pockets looks great on you! Not a fan of the linen shift dress – I don’t like the faded colors or how the pattern lines don’t match up on each side. I’m going to have to check out this PS sub box 🙂
