This is the note I received from my stylist, Alice. If you have a moment, please read it. I want everyone to know how much thought she puts into what she sends me every month, and what great styling tips she sends! It's really a remarkable amount of detail for a styling service.

This is the invoice that was included in my box, showing the cost of each item that I decide to keep.

When I signed up, I had to complete a style quiz to create my style profile. It included sizes, but also what kinds of looks I prefer, how I like my clothes to fit, and whether I am looking for work, event, or travel clothing. I did notice that casual was not an option, but I have received plenty of casual clothes so far. In any case, I would expect items to vary substantially from subscriber to subscriber.

The reverse side of the invoice includes important reminders for trying on and (maybe) returning the items you were sent.

Blush Genuine Stone Tassel Necklace by Vineyard Heaven - Cost to keep $55

I love druzy SO MUCH, but I am not into threaded tassels, I've had too many that got messed up really fast. I love this length, though. I'm kind of torn because this is such a pretty necklace! You can see me wearing it in some of the pictures below.

Floral Dream Chiffon Maxi Dress by City Chic - Cost to keep $119

Wow, this dress is gorgeous. The colors are so vibrant and amazing! It has a chiffon maxi-length outer layer, but the lining of the skirt is short so it has that sexy sheer effect. And I absolutely love the back! So stylish. I just wish I had somewhere to wear it! I don't know if I can justify spending that much without an occasion.

Back Lace Drape Cardigan by Cable & Gauge - Cost to keep $60

This is a really cool cardigan, and I love the way it looks with the dress! I just don't have much use for it at the moment. I don't think black is a great spring color, and it's also about to get really hot here.

V-Neck Classic White Tee Shirt by GAP - Cost to keep $24

I agree with Alice that yes, every woman should have a basic white tee! This is a pretty cute one, and I like the open neckline a lot. I just wish it were a little less sheer.

Multi Colored Maxi Skirt by Ralph Lauren - Cost to keep $120

I don't think my stylist could have known this, but this skirt is pretty much a miss for me all the way around. I have come around to maxis lately, but I don't like full skirts on me. It also doesn't fit well - it's too tight up top. It's also $120.

Magenta Split Sleeve Drape Top by Violet + Claire - Cost to keep $50

I like the color of this chiffon top, but I think it's too long to be flattering on me. I also don't like split sleeves much.

Verdict: This month's box was a bit of a miss for me. I don't know if I'm keeping anything for sure! But, I don't think it's my stylist's fault at all. I think sometimes with styling services you just get a bit of bad luck. Everything she sent was my style and size, so the little things that made the pieces not work for me were really things she could not have known. I totally appreciate all the thought she put into my pieces this month! I am a fan of Stylogic, but I hope I get better luck next month.

I like the skirt on you, but you said it’s too tight up top. For $120, it should fit. The white tee is nice, but for $24 for a tee, again, it should be exactly what you want, not too see thru for you. I love the dress. I don’t think the black cardi is that great, and I don’t like how it looks with the dress. It’s too heavy looking for that hot dress. The hot pink top is a huge yes for you. The cut looks great, and that’s one of your colors. It will likely work well in your wardrobe since you seem to favor black and cool brights. And the necklace…I don’t get it with these clothes. It’s a different vibe than these outfits and adds nothing to the look.

Id love to see what the non-plus size clothing looks like can. Can you guys have a non-plus size do a review too?

I agree. These reviewers are all great, but it would be nice to see different shapes and styles of models than just the same ones all the time. I can predict just by seeing the clothes before they are tried on who the reviewer is based on the styles they choose. I do think all the reviewers look great and give strong reviews, but they don’t represent a wide variety of styles.

I love the dress on you! The necklace is really pretty, but I’m also not a tassel fan.

I absolutely love your last pic. The pink is a great color for you and the long tassel necklace is great with the skirt. But I agree with “not $120 cute” !!! The thing I love these boxes for is that I always pick out the stuff I know I like but when you have a stylist picking, you get some great different choices that you would have never seen yourself in. It is hard to spend money for pieces you won’t reach for so do what feels right but I hope you have a good amount of that pink color in your closet. Even with blue jeans and flats that pink color top would be gorgeous on you!

I agree! That pink looks so good on you and I loved the skirt on you too. The tassel necklace just finished off a great look. Hopefully you went out of your comfort zone and decided to keep all 3. However, the price! EEK I don’t know about that.

The pink shirt looks amazing on you with your skin tone & the split sleeves give it more attention interest. I love it with the necklace. I think you’d get lots of compliments. I’d test it out on hubby to get another genuine opinion!

I’d say if keep the necklace to use you’re styling fee, and snip the thread tassel off with wire cutters. If you want, you can then hang another type of charm from the loop under the druzy, or just leave it plain.

Good thinking tpop!

I think the dress and the pink blouse look really lovely on you. Even if you don’t keep them, I would look out for similar shapes.

Just coming out of lurkerdom to say that, as I have been reading your reviews a while and these struck me as looking really great on you 🙂

I LOVE the maxi skirt. I think it would look great with a basic top.

Fantastic review as always, Anna! I agree with you point by point – this box feels like a “miss” for you on so many levels. The maxi dress is very unique and lovely on you but, if you don’t have occasion to wear it, it’s too pretty to hang in a closet. Plus, it has a “flaw” on the back. Unless my eyes deceive, one of the fabric “ribbons” is twisted (I looked at it several times) or is at least too long compared to the others. The black cardi is a very unfortunate choice – too long and covers too much of the dress features, too dark, too much fabric, long sleeves – drags the whole dress down and “shortens” you. Plus it ends up covering up the unique back and your tat! You’re so right about the whole outfit being seasonally inappropriate – there’s “black is elegant” and then there’s just wrong time of year.

The Ralph Lauren maxi skirt is cute but not $120 cute. Completely agree about the split sleeve tops – this is a fashion trend I won’t be jumping on either. Unless the split sleeve is perfectly done, it makes my shoulders look “off” or exposes the pit area which is the whole reason I wear a sleeve in the first place! And too long for you = correct.

Also agree about the tassel necklace and it’s rather boring color-wise. Length is good on you but value for dollar is way off. So that leaves a too-sheer (hard to tell by the pic but I trust you!) white t-shirt so as not to lose the styling fee.

Your stylist put a lot of thought into your selections but, once she jumped on the maxi train, it was all downhill from there. I’m surprised that “skirt length” preference isn’t a key option in their style profile. As a 5’3″ gal myself, that’s always been a big NO for me.

Thanks for another great review, Anna!

I actually didn’t care for the maxi dress that much (can’t get polls to load) but I loved the skirt. I agree that it was the prettiest item on you. But if it’s not your style, I get that (plus being too tight is no bueno). I thought the white tee was cute until you said it was sheer. Why do they do that? Everyone designing sheer tops needs to come to the deep south in July and August and they will knock that crap out. Same goes for sending long sleeve black cardigans in May. Hello? It’s been 90 degrees here already! Several times!

The pink top is stunning on you–if the length had been right. Gorgeous color on you and the top half looks amazing!

The maxi dress is so pretty and looks really nice on you! You can find a very similar black cardigan for a steal in just about any TJ Maxx,Ross or Marshall’s.

Thanks katie! And thanks for the tip!

I love maxi dresses as well, but I love that skirt on you! It’s a shame it’s too tight in the waist because that actually was my favorite thing on you. I also liked the black cardigan and even though it’s going to get hot, here too, you could always keep it for later.
