Skin Owl Body+ (4 oz.) - Value $46.00
I have to admit I was a little hesitant when I saw that the body oil this month contained some shimmer. My thoughts raced back to the high school body glitter days of the early nineties and I inwardly cringed. How could I have ever doubted Art of Organics?! Of course, they wouldn’t include an item that I wouldn’t instantly fall in love with. The body oil doesn’t have “glitter”, it has micro specks of rose gold mica that give the most subtle and gorgeous glow. My skin is still feeling parched from winter and this oil is just the thing my body needed. Body+ is a limited edition product, so if you want it don’t hesitate or you might miss out. And trust me you don’t want to miss out.
Don’t see any sparkle on my hand? That’s because this body oil doesn’t make you sparkle. It just gives you a delicate, moisturized luster. Pure perfection!
Skin Owl Turmeric Beauty Bar (4.5 oz.) - Value $24.00
This soap came wrapped so nicely and has a woodgrain design etched into the bar for a lovely nature-inspired vibe. The bar can be used morning and night as a daily cleanser. The turmeric is said to have antiseptic and antibacterial properties to help reduce inflammation and brighten the appearance of your skin. This bar will last up to 12 weeks with daily use and is GMO, gluten, fragrance, paraben, and cruelty-free. It’s also vegan. I found that this bar left my skin feeling clean and not stripped the way most bars do. After a few days of use, my skin felt softer and looked less dry and dull than it had.
Verdict: This month’s Clean Beauty Box value is $70 which is quite a lot less than usual, but still well above the $39 cost of the box. Both items were big winners for me personally. I was happy to see a mix of both face and body being included again. Clean Beauty is hands down my favorite beauty subscription and one of my all-time favorite subscriptions period. Their curation, packaging and customer service are consistently exceptional.
