Yogi Surprise is a monthly health and wellness subscription box that sends you natural goodies each month. Some items may be specifically for yoga, but in general, this is more of a lifestyle box. Yogi Surprise also offers a monthly Jewelry box (read our reviews here!).
The contents in this month's box smell amazing! I feel like I just walked into an Aveda or aromatherapy store.

This month's theme is "Creative Divine Mother." This month's products "will help you clear your environment of any lingering negativity, fuel your body for greater strength, inspire you with positive vibes, and balance out excess amounts of energy. Let Mother Nature guide you as you open up your heart this month, connect deeper to your Divine spirit, and embrace your creative side!"
The back of the information card lists the box's contents, brief descriptions, and values.
Every month, Yogi Surprise includes a sequence card that coincides with the theme. I enjoy yoga practices and like that I'll have this tool at my fingertips in between classes.
Yogi Surprise has partnered with Trip Tribe to give one lucky subscriber every month a free yoga retreat! This card shows last month's winner.
Nutrawbar Whole Fig, 1.4 oz. - Value $2.73 (buy a box of 12 for $32.75)
Nutrawbar boasts a log of claims about this fig bar, including it's plant-based, vegan, non-GMO, gluten, wheat, soy, and dairy-free, kosher, and a 100% raw organic superfood, made of just three ingredients. Those ingredients include organic figs, organic almonds, and organic coconut oil. And it tastes exactly the way it's marketed: very raw and organic. I like this bar for everything it represent but didn't care for the taste too much.
Mindful Mandala Cards - Listed Value $20
Yogi Suprise sent a set of 24 mandala cards that have designs that can be colored on one side and have an ancient proverb on the other side. The cards are packaged in a nice, sturdy cotton pouch.
I love to color but never made the time to do so. I have already carved time out of each day to spend 5-10 minutes coloring one card and meditating on the message. I think this would make a great gift for a fellow yogi or creative friends.
This card set arrived with an info card from Mindful Mandalas. On the back, they mention that a percentage of each sale supports mental health and wellness programs. This is a company I will definitely support in the future!
Joco Botanicals Yogi Chakra Body Bar, 4.15 oz. - Value $6.97
This is the product causing all of the wonderful smells! It is a patchouli and orange body bar of soap from Joco Botanicals. I'm happy to discover this brand and know that chakra soaps exist! I am a big fan of kundalini yoga that focuses on the body's chakras and love the idea of using the same soap after a practice.
This soap is dedicated to the sacral chakra, which is the second chakra and associated with creativity, the emotional body, and sensuality. The bar itself is quite smooth and moisturizing, likely due to the Kukui and Buriti Nut oils. The smell is wonderful and lingers on my skin. I'm a fan!
Lilac & Willow Soy Candle, Smudge, 4 fl. oz. - Listed Value $14
I think this is my favorite item in this month's Yogi Suprise box! Not only is it a candle, but it smudges your environment as you burn it. That's so awesome! I really want to learn more about smudging, but in the meantime, I can still reap the benefits with this candle.
The candle's scent is very clean with a blend of sage, cedar, and lavender, the latter of which is the most apparent smell. It also burns clean and my living room smells wonderful.
The candle is accompanied by a Lilac and Willow business card that also includes a discount for future purchases.
Scentered Be Happy Therapy Balm, 0.17 oz. - Value $24
Now, I'm familiar with essentials oils, but not therapy balms. But I kind of love this! The Be Happy balm from Scentered is a blend of grapefruit, lemon myrtyle, and spearmint and is meant to lift the mood and boost positivity. To use, you apply to pulse points and inhale, similar to essential oils. The balm is non-greasy and has a sweet citrus smell. I tossed this into my backpack and will use it often throughout the day (or when stuck in traffic, haha!). This is a great inclusion to support this month's Yogi Surprise theme.
Tree-Free Greatings, 3 cards - Listed Value $9
I received three greeting cards - one specifically for birthday, and two others that can be used for a myriad of occassions. The cards is printed on envornmentally-friendly paper including recycled paper, bamboo, and hemp. These are the perfect size for mailing to my yogi and eco-conscious friends!
The back of each cards seakes more about the Tree-Free mission and the process of making these cards.
June Spoiler Alert!
I'm super excited for these two items in next month's Yogi Surprise!
Verdict: This was another solid box from Yogi Surprise. Similar to last month, there is a nice balance of items and they all fit the theme well. This month's box has a value of about $77, which is similar to previous months. For $45 a month, that is a great value and it excites me to receive items from new-to-me brands and/or support small businesses while improving my health and overall well-being. I really am enjoying the candle and therapy balm this month!
