A-Box is a brand new entry into the Geek Box category! Their goal is to deliver premium geeky goods with authentic, licensed, and/or exclusive items with a promised value of over $70 in each box.

They have a monthly option - but this is a review of the Limited Edition Alien Covenant Box - which you can still get if your order before Friday, June 16!

A-Box sent us this box to review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Before I move along - I wanted to quickly touch on how great the packaging is. It has that Apple product feel where everything is compartmentalized, sleek, and streamline - nicely done.

The Subscription Box: Limited Edition Alien Covenant Box

The Cost: $55 + $7 S/H

The Products: Authentic licensed exclusives from the Alien Covenant movie - with a value of $150 based on MSRP.

Ships To: US and UK

Yes - you're seeing this correctly - it has one of the best items in a subscription box I've ever seen! Read on for more details!

As you've come to expect - you'll get an information card with details about each item in the box.

Let's just jump right to the ultimate highlight of this box:

Alien Facehugger Poseable Lifesize Replica - Value $60-65 based on similar replica

First up - the single greatest item I've received in a geek box - a 4-foot Alien Facehugger!

It's similar to the NECA facehugger - but with a little more detailed paint job on the outer body, but a less detailed paint job on the underside - so it kind of evens out.

It's a foam rubber material and everything is bendable - so go to town a recreate your favorite scenes!

How could we not!?!?!

After you're done having fun with it - you'll also find out that it has a Certificate of Authenticity.

Facehugger Shirt - Value $15?

You'll get an exclusively printed shirt featuring a Facehugger.

Awesome and simple design - I'm loving the basic red on black scheme as well.

It's also licensed, so it features the Alien: Covenant logo on the sleeve.

USCSS Covenant Hat - value $15-20?

You'll also receive a crew member hat.

It's got a patch-like print that features the ship itself.

It's velcro in the back, so one size will fit all.

Keychain Facehugger Bottle Opener - Value $10-15?

Getting back to the Facehugger track - you'll also get a keychain bottle opener.

It's sturdy and thick metal - this will definitely hold up over time.

Pin Badge Set - Value $30-40?

Enamel pins are growing in popularity in the geek box market, so I see the resale value of these going up and up. This box includes and exclusive set of crew badge pins!

Represent your favorite crew with 6 to choose from. We've started a pin board - so we'll be adding them there!

Verdict: My ballparked values come to around $155, which is right in the promised value ballpark (pats self on back). More importantly - this really feels like a limited edition box! From the unboxing experience to the unique products, it was just plain incredible. Even better - there is certainly no need to debate whether this box had a hero item or not!

Don't forget - if you want this box - order by Friday, June 16th to get yours!

What do you think of the A-Box Alien Covenant Box? Are you as excited as I am to see the monthly box?

I highly recommend A-box!! Their customer service is impeccable and their quality of the contents of each box is well worth what you pay for them. A-box is one of many absolute favorite subscription boxes out there, and I’m anyways excited when I get a new box from them.

I ordered mine July 11, I haven’t heard from them since. I tried calling, emailing yesterday no luck! I’m just a little curious about what’s going on.

I absolutely loved the box, the facehugger alone felt worth the box value. High quality items, great attention to even the smallest details such as the interior packaging and I feel as thou they’ve set the bar high for all of their future boxes now.

Ordered the Alien Covenant box on June 14 and I am still waiting for it. I am a little concerned.

It’s a miracle! I am well ahead of schedule in ordering my husband’s birthday gift, and he definitely will not get a lifesized bendable facehugger from anyone else. Thanks, MSA!

To me, a sign of a good box is one that impresses me with the content even though I am not a fan of the IP- and this box has done just that!

I was interested to see what is included in the monthly subscription, so I signed up for their newsletter.

As soon as I saw that facehugger I ordered the box. Then I showed it to my husband and his immediate reaction was, “You ordered that, right????”

FIRST TIME EVER THAT MY HUSBAND ACTUALLY WANTED ME TO ORDER A BOX!!!!

I’m not much of an Alien fan but the quality of this box looks amazing! I looked Abox up online and it shows a monthly sub but I wasn’t sure if this is some kind of higher quality box they have and the monthly sub is more like Loot Crate quality? Can anyone confirm if this is the monthly variation or a limited edition type crate?

This is a limited edition box – they’ve yet to send out their first monthly box – it’s brand new.

Thank you for letting me know! I may still sign up to get the monthly to see what it has since I’ve been looking for another “geek” sub 🙂

I am so glad I looked at this review. I love sci-fi but not sci-fi horror. However, I am so glad I had the opportunity to see the facehugger. My life is now complete. LOL.
