Now, on to the items!

Feel Beauty Bamboo Charcoal Facial Sheet Masks – (2) Value $17.50

These sheet masks are designed to detoxify your skin, fight acne, remove oil, and hydrate your skin. (So, basically just all the things!)  You leave the sheet mask on for at least 30 minutes, then massage any remaining serum into your skin.

This mask is made with bamboo fiber that feels like a fabric, so it forms to your face easily and doesn't slip off like some sheet masks. It was gentle on my skin, and while I usually hate leaving a mask on for more than 15 minutes, this one didn't bother me! It left my skin feeling hydrating and looking dewy - I'm a fan! (And I'm glad they sent more than one!)

Freeman Beauty Renewing Cucumber Peel-off Mask – Value $2

Confession - I love a good peel off mask! (They are right up there with Biore pore strips for me!) This one is made with cucumber extract and designed to soothe your skin. It's a sticky gel that dries, and then you easily pull it off after 5-10 minutes.

I can't say I noticed any difference in my skin, though. (And I wish this sample was resealable - I didn't need to use all the mask provided.)

MakeupDrop x Beautycon The Original Silicone Makeup Applicator – Value $20

This was the spoiler item I was most excited about, and it did not disappoint! It's a game changer!

Typically, I use a beauty blender or a stippling brush to apply liquid foundation. This silicone applicator gets the same flawless application look of the beauty blender, but it has additional benefits:

  1. No foundation absorbing into it! With a Beauty Blender or brush, I'm always losing some foundation to the tool itself, but this silicone isn't porous, so all makeup goes on your skin!
  2. Super easy cleanup! Just soap, water, and towel it off and it's good to go! No waiting for beauty blenders/brushes to dry!

I'm SO happy BeautyCon included this in the box!

Deco Miami Lemon Blossom Cuticle Oil – Value $12.50

This cuticle oil instantly moisturized my cuticles, but more importantly, it smells like a delicious lemon cake! Best smelling cuticle oil ever!

Deco Miami Beautycon Pink Glass Nail File – Value $10

Nail files aren't too exciting for me, but this is officially the prettiest one I own!

Manna Kadar Flutter Mascara in Jet Black – Value $29

I've sampled SO much Manna Kadar thanks to subscription boxes, but I actually hadn't tried this mascara yet!

Unfortunately, it's a complete miss for me. The brush is oversized, which might be good for some, but for me, it made it impossible to get the mascara close to my lash line. It added length and color, but I wasn't impressed with the volume. And the formula and brush weren't great for lash separation either.

(I'm wondering if I would have had better results if I used the Step 1 Lash Primer Manna Kadar also sells?)

Doucce Lush Lip Gloss in Glistening Petals – Value $22

I love this color! The formula has good pigment for a gloss, and it provides a high-shine finish. The downside to that is that it also has some stickiness.

(Swatched in lower photo.)

Jonteblu Electric Blue Eyeliner Pencil – Value $5

This eyeliner has good pigment with a shimmery finish. The blue is a little lighter than I typically go when I wear a blue eyeliner, but it seems fun for summer.

(Swatched in lower photo.)

Dirty Little Secret Cosmetics Gold Plated Eyeshadow Crayon – Value $14

This eyeshadow crayon glides on so smoothly and it has excellent pigment and shimmer. The color is a coppery gold, and it blends easily, too.

(Swatched in lower photo.)

ColourPop Ultra Satin Lip in London Fog – Value $6

No surprise here - this ColourPop formula has AMAZING pigment! The satin finish means it has a little more sheen than your typical matte lippie.

I found that it does transfer a bit more because of the satin finish, but there is still more than enough product left to keep your lips completely covered.

Here it is swatched beneath the lipgloss, eyeliner, and eyeshadow crayon:

Verdict: This box has a value of about $138! I think that's a great value for a $36 quarterly box. That being said, not all products were wins for me, but there were enough to call this box a success. The standout products for me are the sheet masks, cuticle oil, silicone makeup applicator, and the ColourPop lippie.

If you're thinking about trying the makeup applicator anyway (and I recommend it), that makes the rest of the items in this box cost only $16 total!

Yes, we are aware.

I just ordered 4 new Ulta brand beauty blenders. They get funky too fast for me to pay the brand-name price. When these get funky too, I am going to buy a makeup drop!

I chatted with a customer service rep yesterday. My subscription runs out in the fall. I believe I had a Black Friday deal for an annual subscription. I was told they will not be doing annual subscriptions anymore starting with the winter box. Just
seasonal subscriptions now. She also said that if u were an annual subscriber u will not be charged shipping anymore
after the fall box. I don’t know if that applies to everyone or just those not getting annual boxes anymore. I was going to cancel after my fall box because shipping is too high and all my other boxes have free shipping.

Speaking of Ulta, they often have sales on the Real Techniques brand (occasionally even buy 1 get one free deals) – I would highly recommend their beauty blenders.

I seriously can’t take anymore products from Manna Kadar…..

i agree, seems problematic

What’s wrong with Manna Kadar? Is it a brand thing or do you just not like the quality of the products?

Bonnie

The white L’Oreal lash primer they sent in the Winter Beautycon box, which is sold in drugstores, makes just about every mascara look great! Try that if you can with the mascara in this box if you’re looking to add volume to your lashes.

Lori

Agree. I’ve tried the ĽORÈAL Lash Primer and it does work! It’s one of my favorite’s… I believe MANNA KADAR is a hit andn miss tho.

Yaaassss! I cannot live without it!

This was an awful box and not worth it for me .every product sucked except yhe face masks

I wasn’t that thrilled with this box compared to other BeautyCon Boxes I received. The value was definitely there but I felt like there was not much thought put into it and it was kinda just thrown together at last minute. Maybe I am just being too picky lol

I agree. I gave away the blue & bronze pencils & the pinky gloss. The colour swatches looked better on Liz. The swatches always look better on Liz!

The rest of the box was really good though!

Before discovering this amazing site, I’d never even heard of Manna Kadar, but all I’ve read here is bad reviews. Has anyone haf a positive experience with this brand??

I’m a pro makeup artist, I
Like it. No issues at all w MK products, I mean everyone has favorites and I’ve used literally tons of everything after over 25 years in this business. I think some people just tire of seeing the same items in the boxes, it does seem that the past year and a half we’ve seen lots of MK items frequent sub boxes. I use so much, it doesn’t bother me, I really enjoyed the colors in this box, I thought it was a great Summer combination actually for an easy look with a day and an evening lip option. A bright pop of liner is always great w a tanned skin.

Luna

I think quality-wise the general consensus amongst peoples comments that I’ve seen (plus my own experience with it) is that the products are good. Just like Erin stated, I think most peoples gripes is that not only is Manna Kadar in a ton of boxes, but they tend to send the exact same products in each box over & over again. Fortunately for me, since I’ve liked what I’ve received, I don’t mind duplicates, but I totally understand why others would want variety.

Erin

I have tried a few of the Lip Locked primer liquid lipsticks and also some blush and I have been very happy with them. I think the lipstick wore down very well, felt comfortable and the packaging did not leak or get all goopy around the top (dried down to matte but was not transfer proof, I usually top any matte with a gloss or balm though because I hate the feel/ look of matte dry lips).

Absolutely the brand is not the top, but I do find myself reaching for the two shades of lip product I have from them often.
I think most people just have a little brand fatigue and want something new and exciting. Manna Kadar products seem to be pretty standard and good basics.

Hillary

That actually seems like an interesting box (minus the Manna Kadar). Can we just all veto Manna Kadar for a minute? Liz, if I was to subscribe to this sub now, would I get this box or a future/welcome box?

Regina

I just subbed today and it said I would get the summer box.

Reply ButtonReply

Marion

Not my favorite box ever, but since I’m paying more like $24 a box with the Better than Black Friday deal, I can’t complain much.

Reply ButtonReply

Tiffany

I feel like I am the only one who doesn’t like the silicon applicator am I using it wrong? My foundation was so patchy and sat on top of my skin instead of blending into my skin like my beauty blender or a good brush does. Does anyone have any tips on how to best use it??

Reply ButtonReply

Nicole D

I can’t figure it out either. It just smears product all over my face, doesn’t absorb when I use a silicone applicator. I don’t get it.

Reply ButtonReply

Jodie

Honestly lol its gimmicky but kind of fun to try. It does use less product. I still prefer my brush and slightly dampened sponge blending

Reply ButtonReply

Victoria

Me, too! The whole using less thing appealed to me and I tried one. I was pretty disappointed and baffled about hot it could possibly be so much better lol!!

Reply ButtonReply

Kendra

Use very little foundation. Even when I used as little as physically possible, I could not blend it in. I use a foundation brush directly after to blend it into my skin. There is an extra step, but I think it is worth it because I use less makeup and my brushes don’t get as dirty as when I only use the brush!

Reply ButtonReply

Julia

I tried the mascara one time and threw it in the trash. The applicator made it impossible to get any detail on my lashes and it flaked like crazy! I love that cuticle oil though! It’s fantastic!

Reply ButtonReply

Dea

To answer your question – no, the Manna Kadar lash primer is a dud as well. The $5 L’Oreal lash primer is much, much better.

Reply ButtonReply

heat7918

I have to disagree… my experience with Manna Kadar lash primer was amazing! I bought the L’Oréal primer after to save money but it was no good – lumpy-flaky. 🙁 Maybe I got a bad one?

Reply ButtonReply

ashby

The L’Oreal primer is the best. I prefer it even over Lancome.

Reply ButtonReply

Linda

I love all of the Freeman masks 🙂 you can get a whole tube for under 5$ at Ulta! 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

I love Freemans masks too! Someone asked me if there was only one mask I would stay with out all of the ones I’ve tried (including the luxe ones) I picked their cucumber peel off mask. I used that for years before getting into boxes. It’s almost painful to peel off, but it leaves my skin feeling so smooth (in a clean way, not moisturized way), and my skin just feels really clean afterward. 🙂

JuJu

Or less, they are often on buy one get one 50% off sale. 🙂

But I do like this box.

I got silicon applicator in So Susan bag and really like it, even so fist it was little bit awkward to use.
