Botanic + Terre May/June 2017

Botanic + Terre does not provide any information within the box, so I’m using the information given on their website. This is my first time subscribing to them, but from the look of their past boxes, their boxes seem quite promising.

Botanic + Terre May/June 2017

Native Nectar - Botanical Body Oil - FULL SIZE! 4 oz. Value $17.50

Native Nectar is an organic skincare brand and their products are formulated without fillers, paraben, or synthetic fragrance. This body oil is enriched with Sweet Almond Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil, Safflower Oil, Neroli Essential Oil, Rose Essential Oil, and Sandalwood Essential Oil. It has a subtle rose scent and there are rose petals floating inside the bottle as well. It’s gorgeous!

Botanic + Terre May/June 2017

I can’t get enough of body oils in my boxes! This oil can be used as a moisturizer or bath oil. I love applying it immediately after a shower while my skin is still damp. It absorbs fast and doesn’t leave an oily residue on my skin.

Botanic + Terre May/June 2017

Birchrose+Co - Ginger + Citrus Lavender Body Polish - FULL SIZE! 8 oz. Value $22

I adore Birchrose+Co so much for their simple, minimal packaging and great smelling products! Their products are made of all-natural ingredients, cruelty-free and toxic-free.

Botanic + Terre May/June 2017

This body polish is made of cane sugar, sea salt, coconut oil, shea butter, lavender oil, lemon oil, and ginger root oil. The lavender scent is mild and refreshing! Even though I exfoliate my skin regularly, I can feel that this body polish made my skin super soft and smooth! I’m totally impressed with the result and I think I wouldn’t mind paying full-price for this item! (I used this as a lip scrub and it worked well, too.)

Botanic + Terre May/June 2017

BKIND Rosemary + Lemon Hand Balm - FULL SIZE! 50g Value $16

BKIND is a Canadian-based brand from Montreal. Their products are natural, vegan, environmentally friendly, and cruelty-free. The main ingredients of this hand balm are shea butter, coconut oil, and jojoba oil, all of which are very nourishing. The rosemary + citrus scent is very pleasant, too.

Botanic + Terre May/June 2017

This balm glided on easily and absorbed well into my skin, and the moisture lasts a long time, too. Since it can make your skin feel a little oily, I’d recommend using this balm before you go to bed. You can also use it on your elbows, knees, or any part of your skin that feels dry and rough. My elbows felt softer after a few minutes of application!

Botanic + Terre May/June 2017

Province Apothecary - Regenerating + Stimulating Exfoliator - FULL SIZE! 30ml. Value $16

I have tried their spot serum from Clean Beauty Box before and it worked wonders, so I can’t wait to try this exfoliator. Similar to their other products, this exfoliator only contains natural and organic ingredients, vegan, and cruelty-free.

Botanic + Terre May/June 2017

This small jar is packed with so many amazing ingredients like oat flour, lentil flour, lavender, green tea, and flax seed. They recommend mixing this product with either water, oil, yogurt, or honey, depending on your skin type. I chose to mix it with honey for additional healing and toning property. Then, I gently rubbed the paste onto my face in a circular motion for about 2-3 minutes and rinsed it off. My skin felt smooth and clean, no redness or irritation. I’m going to use up all of it!

Corpa Flora - Beauté Divine Camellia Facial Cleansing Oil - 1oz? - Value $10?

*** This product seems to be a complimentary item because it doesn’t appear in their box photos. I also ordered a few other products that arrived together with this shipment so you may or may not receive this item. ***

From an info card attached, this product won the Best Face Wash Award in 2015 and Canadian Beauty Innovation Award in 2014. It’s made with sunflower seed oil, camellia seed oil, rosehip fruit extract, and rosemary leaf extract. For this cleansing oil, you massage it with dry hands and add a small amount of water, the oil turns into a milky lotion that cleans and hydrates skin at the same time. It removed my makeup well, but after I rinsed it off, my face still felt a little oily, so I followed up with another cleanser. (This happens with all cleansing oil though, so I didn't really consider it a problem.)

Verdict: This box has a value of about $71 (not including a complimentary item), which is not bad for a $40.99 subscription box. I like that the box is bi-monthly so I’m not overloaded with products. Their curation is amazing as well. You get to experience new, natural beauty brands from both the U.S. and Canada and the quality of these products are amazing! I love every product in this box! My only wish is for them to include an info card so that I can learn more about these brands.

Jira discovered the world of subscription boxes when she first moved to New York in 2017 (subscription box is not a thing in her home country!). Thanks to MSA, she's now subscribed to almost 10 beauty and lifestyle boxes, with FabFitFun, BeautyFIX, and Clean Beauty Box as her favorites. Ps. Her boyfriend thinks that she's only subscribed to Ipsy, so please keep this a secret between us ;-)

I purchased this box because I fell in love with the body scrub. It is just as wonderful as it looks! I’ve viewed the spoilers for the next box and I’m feeling underwhelmed. The Yorak products never seem to work out for me. However, some of the earlier boxes are very nice. I’m drowning in skin/body care products and I want more, LOL.

I went to get this box but it’s charging me for shipping ($6.31 being the cheapest option). Anyone else run into this? Can anyone help? I”m definitely not getting it if shipping isn’t included.

Barbora

I had few options with shipping : free, standard for 6$ and express. You should be able to select.

At first I used my phone and the free shipping option didn’t show up so I switched to my laptop and it worked! I hope it helps!

This was the last box in my 6-month subscription, and I really liked the curation as I wasn’t sure what to expect when I read Esthoria was switching up their subscription model. I loved the clean packaging of all of the products too! I didn’t receive the cleansing oil, so maybe it was a “welcome” gift for first time subscribers(?). 🙂

A similar box to this (product wise) that I’ve really liked is Bare Element. It’s a $50 monthly box, in which they say they include 3-5 deluxe to full-sized products, but ever since they launched in December they’ve always included full sized products (with the exception of one product that I can tell, that was over half its full size). They include some lesser known (but still really good quality… like some of the lesser known brands in this box) green beauty brands to higher-end & luxe brands like Khus-Khus, Vapour, Hana, Wabisabi Botanicals, and Modern Minerals. Just like Botanic Terre, Bare Element boxes can be bought as one-time purchases as well.

That box sounds great! And I wish I discovered this box much sooner! Thank you for sharing, Luna 🙂

Yay! I’ve really enjoyed both boxes. 🙂

Thank you so much for reviewing Botanic + Terre too! I was missing the Esthoria box reviews, but I understand there are only so many beauty boxes that Liz could review (who I think was reviewing it for the first 2 or 3 boxes). Since I’m taking a break from boxes for a few months, I’ll have to feed my addiction through your great reviews. 😀

Alex

I love everything. I need this box! Great review 😊😊😊

Oh…no….this looks right up my alley and seems reasonably priced. I love bi-monthly subs as it gives you time to really use products and enjoy them before the new box arrives. I think I might check this one out!

Barbora

I have to stop reading MSA, couldn’t resist and just ordered.

Jira

Lol I’ve been there too, Barbora. You’re not alone in this!

That body oil looks fantastic – and reasonably priced! I just have too many I need to use up first… scrubs too… I just don’t use them up very fast. I think I have that Province Apothecary exfoliator in my stash somewhere… I need to bust it out and use it!

Oh the woes of being a sub box addict!

I love this!!! I’m with you–I can’t get enough body oils. That one looks gorgeous! The bottle looks chilled. I’m committed to way too many subs. I wish I could buy just this box. I’m going to keep my eyes on this one.

Hi Ashby, I’ve seen some of their past boxes on sale individually later on their website. I’m sure you can grab one after the July came out!
