Botanic + Terre does not provide any information within the box, so I’m using the information given on their website. This is my first time subscribing to them, but from the look of their past boxes, their boxes seem quite promising.
Native Nectar - Botanical Body Oil - FULL SIZE! 4 oz. Value $17.50
Native Nectar is an organic skincare brand and their products are formulated without fillers, paraben, or synthetic fragrance. This body oil is enriched with Sweet Almond Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil, Safflower Oil, Neroli Essential Oil, Rose Essential Oil, and Sandalwood Essential Oil. It has a subtle rose scent and there are rose petals floating inside the bottle as well. It’s gorgeous!
I can’t get enough of body oils in my boxes! This oil can be used as a moisturizer or bath oil. I love applying it immediately after a shower while my skin is still damp. It absorbs fast and doesn’t leave an oily residue on my skin.
Birchrose+Co - Ginger + Citrus Lavender Body Polish - FULL SIZE! 8 oz. Value $22
I adore Birchrose+Co so much for their simple, minimal packaging and great smelling products! Their products are made of all-natural ingredients, cruelty-free and toxic-free.
This body polish is made of cane sugar, sea salt, coconut oil, shea butter, lavender oil, lemon oil, and ginger root oil. The lavender scent is mild and refreshing! Even though I exfoliate my skin regularly, I can feel that this body polish made my skin super soft and smooth! I’m totally impressed with the result and I think I wouldn’t mind paying full-price for this item! (I used this as a lip scrub and it worked well, too.)
BKIND Rosemary + Lemon Hand Balm - FULL SIZE! 50g Value $16
BKIND is a Canadian-based brand from Montreal. Their products are natural, vegan, environmentally friendly, and cruelty-free. The main ingredients of this hand balm are shea butter, coconut oil, and jojoba oil, all of which are very nourishing. The rosemary + citrus scent is very pleasant, too.
This balm glided on easily and absorbed well into my skin, and the moisture lasts a long time, too. Since it can make your skin feel a little oily, I’d recommend using this balm before you go to bed. You can also use it on your elbows, knees, or any part of your skin that feels dry and rough. My elbows felt softer after a few minutes of application!
Province Apothecary - Regenerating + Stimulating Exfoliator - FULL SIZE! 30ml. Value $16
I have tried their spot serum from Clean Beauty Box before and it worked wonders, so I can’t wait to try this exfoliator. Similar to their other products, this exfoliator only contains natural and organic ingredients, vegan, and cruelty-free.
This small jar is packed with so many amazing ingredients like oat flour, lentil flour, lavender, green tea, and flax seed. They recommend mixing this product with either water, oil, yogurt, or honey, depending on your skin type. I chose to mix it with honey for additional healing and toning property. Then, I gently rubbed the paste onto my face in a circular motion for about 2-3 minutes and rinsed it off. My skin felt smooth and clean, no redness or irritation. I’m going to use up all of it!
Corpa Flora - Beauté Divine Camellia Facial Cleansing Oil - 1oz? - Value $10?
*** This product seems to be a complimentary item because it doesn’t appear in their box photos. I also ordered a few other products that arrived together with this shipment so you may or may not receive this item. ***
From an info card attached, this product won the Best Face Wash Award in 2015 and Canadian Beauty Innovation Award in 2014. It’s made with sunflower seed oil, camellia seed oil, rosehip fruit extract, and rosemary leaf extract. For this cleansing oil, you massage it with dry hands and add a small amount of water, the oil turns into a milky lotion that cleans and hydrates skin at the same time. It removed my makeup well, but after I rinsed it off, my face still felt a little oily, so I followed up with another cleanser. (This happens with all cleansing oil though, so I didn't really consider it a problem.)
Verdict: This box has a value of about $71 (not including a complimentary item), which is not bad for a $40.99 subscription box. I like that the box is bi-monthly so I’m not overloaded with products. Their curation is amazing as well. You get to experience new, natural beauty brands from both the U.S. and Canada and the quality of these products are amazing! I love every product in this box! My only wish is for them to include an info card so that I can learn more about these brands.
