First of all, the name Foot Cardigan makes me giggle, and at first, I couldn't take them seriously. UNTIL I experienced their socks. Things you need to know: they have clever names for all of their different types of socks, and the no-show versions (available for both men+ women) are called "Houdini" because they are "disappearing" socks. Get it? Kudos to their marketing dept, I think it's really cute and their simple packaging is well-designed.
No-Show Cactus Socks
The pair I received feature the most adorable cacti in a pleasing green and pale-orangey colorway. At first, I was like "wait a minute, the point of no-show socks is that you can't see them when you're wearing shoes, so why do I need cute ones?". But then I remembered the times when you go to ultra-clean people's homes and you have to take your shoes off. Normally I'd have some stretched out grody pair of white not socks, but now I can confidently strut around in these lil cuties.
The most critical selling point of these, though, is the part you can't see. A feature that is tough to photograph. It's the fact that on the inside heel of these short socks exists grippy stuff so they won't slip off inside your shoe. If you've laughed at this on the internet, you feel me. I've been wearing these all day and no slippage! YAY!
The bottom is also branded with an "FC" so you remember where your fave socks come from.
I've worn some really tight no-show socks in my day, and these are not like them. These socks are comfortable and feel cushy. The fabric is high-quality and well made.
Verdict: I'm embarrassed at how impressed I am with Foot Cardigan. These no-show socks stayed on my foot, which is really rare. I think that's why they're $12 a pair. You get what you pay for, right? I am totally into this subscription because they have super fun designs, and are comfy as heck. Plus, it's summer, so these shorties are essential to keep your ankles cool.
