GlossyBox is a monthly beauty subscription box. They have the best packaging in the business, their products are usually deluxe size or full size, and the value is usually good too.

This box was sent to us for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

FYI: GlossyBox sends out multiple variations of the box during some months. So, there may be some variation between what I review and what you receive.

Ships to

US and Canada

Each box comes with a fold out card detailing the items included:

And this month, Glossybox included a tropical postcard, too. I like the gold foil touch!

Now, on to the items!

The Creme Shop OMG BRUSH - Value $10

(All subscribers will receive this brush in either black or white.)

This brush has a matte black rubberized handle and rose gold metal accents.

And the brush head itself is so densely packed and soft!

I get why this style of makeup brush is so popular! They are SO good and blending in makeup for an airbrushed finished look.

This size brush is on the small side and designed to be used for contouring and blending in concealer.

Bang Beauty Cream Color in Dulce Pink - FULL SIZE! Value $22

(All subscribers will receive this in their June box.)

This brand is new to me, and I'm impressed! It doesn't look too shimmery in the jar, but this cream color has a lot of pigment and shimmer packed into it! (Swatched in lower photo.)

You can use this as a lip, cheek, and or eyeshadow color. I used it as a blush and found it was super easy to blend, and the shimmer was a nice bonus.

Julep Tinted Lip Oil Treatment in Covet - FULL SIZE! Value $22

(All subscribers will receive this item. Colors will vary.) UPDATE: Subscribers will either receive this or a Julep nail polish.

This formula is free of parabens, sulfates, and phthalates!

If you love a glossy lip, but hate stickiness, this is your gloss. I had absolutely no sticky issues. The formula has a sweet flavor, a hint of color, and lots of shine. (Swatched in lower photo.)

La Roche-Posay Effaclar BB Blur in Fair/Light - 10 ml Value $10

(This is a variant item for the box. Not all subscribers will receive this.)

This BB cream provides light coverage and an instantly matte/smooth finish. I assumed the Fair/Light shade would be too light for me, but it blended in with skin tone well. Here it is swatched (non-blended in) beneath the Cream Color, and the Lip Oil treatment:

Biossance Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil - 4 ml Value $9.60

(This is a variant item for the box. Not all subscribers will receive this.)

(FYI - this line has been rebranded from The Nourisher to Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil. The formula is exactly the same.) It's a super lightweight, gentle, fragrance-free oil. (No surprise, I'm a fan!)

Here is everything in the June 2017 GlossyBox

Total box value: $73.60

Verdict

This is one of my favorite Glossyboxes of the year. The value is great, the sample sizes are full or deluxe sized, and it's always great to get a makeup brush in a box! I also appreciate that all the full-sized items were non-variants this month. It's never fun to see someone getting a much better box than you received.

Just got my first box tonight. Mail very late at 6:40pm! Kinda bummed because I wanted the BB Blur to try. I did not get the lip oil but a polish. I got a rose oil for the face and something called Talika Photo hydra day. Not for me in summer!!! I have oily skin and this is a big miss for me. I don’t even see it in the spoilers. Not sure how they came up with box for me. Maybe ran out of products? Anyone like the Talika for wintertime?

Lola

I got the Talia last June. I have combo skin with oily tone and found the Talia to be a great warm weather daytime moisturizer.

Erinne

I also got the Talikaans I’m excited to try it. I’m hoping I really like it. I have dry skin so for me it’s a win.

My nail polish in orange is up for swap, but I’ve already swapped for the lip oil, so I’ll get to try it after all. I love the bang beauty cream on both cheeks and lips! I have so many face products but may try the Talia and the oil based on others positive feedback. And I can’t wait to try the brush! All in all, a win for glossybox this month, especially for $10!

Just got my first Glossybox and I’m very happy!! I got the 3 months for $10, no taxes or shipping. The brush is awesome, since I’ve never tried one like this it makes the sub totally worth it for me. I would have liked to have the Julep lip oil rather than polish, but the color is totally doable year round. Much better than June Allure sub. So far so good!!!!!

Great box. I actually cancelled after last month’s disaster, but I had this box still coming to me and I’m glad I did. The lip oil was worth the entire price of the box for me. I love this stuff! I’m not a big fan of the brush, but maybe I’ll warm up to it. The Bang Beauty Cream is nice for summer. I resubbed with the $10 for 3 month promo. Hopefully they will keep the quality up.

I canceled my glossybox this month, but they sent me and email saying my last box will be the August box and I am billed the lst of the month. I tell them to stop and they still say we will do the August box. Anyone else have this experience. I was just stopping for a few months, but think I will move on to another company for my beauty box. Any?

Emilia

Just received my box, same as Liz. Love every item! My Julep oil is clear, which is great.

Reply ButtonReply

Charlie

People still subscribe to glossybox? I’m shocked.

Reply ButtonReply

sue

In this review, it states that everyone will get the lip oil but several people have posted they got polish instead.

I had this subscription for well over a year and the variants were really frustrating. Finally just cancelled as I always had box envy.

Sure would like this box…..oooo what to do…….

Jess

Just fyi some of us got a Julep nail polish. Which of course I’m much happier with since I don’t use lipsticks … the bang creme is good though as it moisturizer and very natural looking.

Reply ButtonReply

Maggie

I agree. This is one of my favorites of the year too. I received the same box as Liz. I really like the items in it!

Reply ButtonReply

Jen

This box was a big hit for me. I was headed off to a weekend trip when this box arrived, and 4 of 5 products went straight into my travel bag.

Reply ButtonReply

vanessa

I hope I get the lip oil & not the mail polish.

Reply ButtonReply

Airian

I just subscribed… I’m supposed to be cutting on all my subscriptions instead of adding… oh well, Liz’s reviews always lure me in lol! I can’t wait to see what variations I get! I’m hoping for the lip oil instead of the nail polish but either way it looks like a good box 🙂

Katherine

I got the hair oil and a rose face spray. And my julep oil is ORANGE. Blech.

Reply ButtonReply

Jess

Orange lip gloss?? Not orange nail polish?

Reply ButtonReply

Jen

It looks orange in the bottle and it kinda smells like oranges, but it does not look orange on my face. Over my natural lip color, it comes out looking like an understated glossy nude tone–very wearable.

Jen

I got the orange one too, which I thought would not work for me, but the color is so subtle that it is not a problem. I love the texture and the scent, and it just looks like a hint of shimmer/sheer color when you wear it (no orange lips!). If you haven’t tried it on, give it a chance.

Reply ButtonReply

C.J.

I got the orange one too so, your review of it is very helpful to me.
I’ll definitely try it out now.

Thank you!

Amy

So much better than that May box, which was such a mess that I canceled.

Bridget

My lip oil doesn’t have a sweet taste, it actually kind of tastes like old oil. Anyone else?

Reply ButtonReply

Kate

I’m a huge julep fan but have always HATED the taste of this lip oil.

Reply ButtonReply

TK

I got this same box except my lip tint is orange. I will use everything except the BB cream only because I don’t use that type of product. The lip tint is really great. It’s super moisturizing and glossy but doesn’t have much color. I thought I wouldn’t like the orange color but you can’t even tell it’s orange on your lips. I agree it’s a great box!!!

Aurienne

I really wish I had received the BB cream! La Roche Posay is good for my skin.

My lip oil is orange too and the brush came broken; not just detached, fully BROKEN!

I wish the blush wasn’t mainly MINERAL OIL (no thanks! Never will I use ANY product that contains Mineral Oil or Paraffin etc.).

I agree with others who said last month was the WORST. It really wasn’t good.

Jules

I got my box a few days ago and mine had some different stuff and a different info card. I got one of the brushes, the Bang Beauty cream color and the Biossance as shown above, but instead of the lip oil, I got a Julep nail polish. My final item was a Talika photo-hydra day moisturizer.

Reply ButtonReply

Tif

I just received mine today! Same items as you! I’m actually happy to get the Julep nail polish instead of lip oil. I have yet to try the Talika product though!

Reply ButtonReply

Mary Beth

I got my box and of the three items that vary, I only got one of the ones I wanted to get, but it’s the one I wanted most so I’m pretty happy. It’s the rose face oil.

Nicole trombley

Me too I got the same box as you, I LOVE the Hydrator & bang blush…

Reply ButtonReply

Lola

5 check your expiration date on the Talike. I love the cream for summer but it was an item in May 2016, I think, or June.

Reply ButtonReply

Marie

Box twins!

Reply ButtonReply

Tina

I would really like this box, but I hesitate because I have had bad luck in the past. I love the Julep lip gloss but not the nail polish.

Reply ButtonReply

Heather Weber

You can sign back up for a monthly subscription and get your first 3 boxes for $10 each. I’ve never done Glossy before, so I thought this is a really nice way to try them out without committing to 21$ a month!

Regina

I got this exact version and I am happy with it! Great products!

Alyce

Has everyone received June’s shipping notice?

Reply ButtonReply

Barbara

I am having issues with Glossybox this month. My account shows “active” BUT it shows the next billing date as June. However, they took the money out of my bank account the beginning of the month. I sent them an email and tried calling them. Anybody else having issues? I am not happy!

Svetlana7e

I actually received my box yesterday

Reply ButtonReply

Julie

Yay! Finally some pink lip shades instead of orange and brown. Can’t wait to see what box I’m getting.

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

Hi Liz,
Not sure if you want to post, but the Sephora Iconic LE box went back up for sale today.

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

Never mind… it looks like it’s out of stock again.

Reply ButtonReply

Mandi

The curation of the items this month was outstanding. I incorporated every item into my beauty routine and love the results. Pigments and colors of the products were perfect. I ordered more Effaclar today and the Dolce Pink cream color is next!

Reply ButtonReply

Tanya

I got my box today, and it’s the same variation. I knew I would like the box, but I didn’t think I would love it! I used the brush to put on my tinted spf from Josie Maran, and the coverage was gorgeous. A hair of the brush fell off the first swipe and it seemed to bend a little too much as I rubbed it in. Regardless, I see myself using that tool daily!

I already have the lip oil in another color, and knew I’d love it. I hate lip gloss, but love that oil. When I put it on over the creme color, it was so pretty! I tried the creme color on my cheeks and eyes too, and it looked great on my cheeks and provided a shiny base for my eyes.

I liked the BB blur and Biossance samples, too. I’d hoped for the face mist sample, since I already have a full sized Bioessence Revitalizer, but I am still so thrilled! This is one of favorite Glossyboxes! Yay!!

If Glossybox was usually like this, I would subscribe. These items look great.

Reply ButtonReply

Christine

The box itself was well curated for Summer and I like the packaging.

This one is kinda more like how Glossy use to be.

Reply ButtonReply

Bonnie

Glossybox seems to do summer right, if I remember correctly from last year!
