Ipsy is a monthly beauty and makeup subscription box. Each month you get full-size or deluxe-sized products, plus a cute makeup bag. I think it’s one of the best value beauty subscriptions and a great way to build out your makeup collection on the cheap!

This is one of my top recommendations if you are looking for a beauty box - the value and sample sizes are amazing. (Check out my list of the Top Beauty Boxes for 2016 and our reviews of Cheap Subscription Boxes for more recommendations!)

Trust Fund Beauty Nail Polish in Game Changer - FULL SIZE! Value $10

I like the Trust Fund Beauty nail polish formulas, and I'm always happy to see them in an Ipsy glam bag!

This shade is a fluorescent coral high-shine creme. Here it is on:

Full coverage with two coats.

NYX Whipped Fouette in Plush - FULL SIZE! Value $6

I was disappointed in this as a lip color (not pigmented enough), but I love it as a blush. (It's a lip and cheek soufflé.) The finish is matte, and it's super easy to blend.

theBalm Balm Springs Blush - .8 g Value $3

I'm consistently impressed with theBalm's pressed powder products. Even though the samples are annoyingly small, it's enough to test out the blush.

This dark rose color is very wearable for me, and I've found that the long-lasting promise holds up, too! The pigment is great, and very buildable.

City Color Shimmer Shadow in Cheers to Life - FULL SIZE! Value $4

This eyeshadow is so impressive! It is intensely pigmented and shimmery! The texture of the formula almost feels creamy, too.

Delectable Triple Moisture Body Lotion in Coconut & Cream - 2 oz Value $3.50

(Good to know for swaps - this product has an inner foil seal.)

First, some good facts about the ingredients in this body cream It is: Cruelty-free. Vegan. Natural ingredient-driven. Gluten-free. GMO-free. Paraben-free. Phthalate-free. Made in Canada.

The formula isn't greasy at all. In fact, it absorbed almost instantly into my skin. And the sweet, coconut scent might not be for everyone, but I'm a fan. It's very summery to me!

Verdict: This box has a value of about $26.50. That's good for a $10 beauty subscription box. (And that's not counting the value of the bag.) But it is pretty low for Ipsy! If you are thinking of subscribing, I think it is safe to say that this is on the low end of what you can expect in terms of value.

This month's Glam Bag didn't feel low value to me, though. 3 full-size items! And the Delectable body lotion is a great sized sample, too.

I still do not have my bag either… and tired of seeing July spoilers. Says my bag was going to ship the 13th and has not moved since! Like others posted, it does seem to get later each month.
Almost every sub box is late this month, have to wonder what is going on

My ipsy is always so late, it’s not as much fun to get it after everyone else has already reviewed and unboxed theirs and we already have spoilers for the next month. It just seems so anticlimactic. My June box doesn’t get here till next Wed, but my Boxycharm isn’t here yet either, so I’m just unlucky geographically.

Every month it seems like I am getting my bag later and later. I used to get it right ok the 15th. Might cancel and use a other subscription similar. They keep giving me the same things every month. I have about 15 eyeliners and I barely ever wear it.

I got the BioRepublic Green Tea and Aloe Rescue face masks, like those. Balm Springs blush, like the color,Nyx Whipped Lip and Cheek Color in Coffee Bean, not much on browns, would rather have light pinks or nudes. Skone eyeliner, this is the third eyeliner I’ve gotten with the brush, hate them all. Liked it better when I got regular stick eyeliner. And last got City Color eye shadow in Cheers to Life, a pretty bronze brown except for the fact that it’s crushed and in pieces and leaked on everything in the bag. Bags kinda cute.

This was my first Ipsy bag and all in all I’m happy. It’s only $10 and I got to try new things.

I pretty only like the makeup bag this month. I wasn’t impressed with the contents at all this month. A lil disappointed. Hopefully next month will be better!

I got my bag yesterday & love everything! The coconut lotion smells amazing and it’s texture reminds me of that water drop stuff where it just absorbs immediately. I put it in my purse and will use it for hand lotion all summer. I requested the super mom lip gloss and I believe it’s full size and the color is great and it smells/tastes good also. It’s very moisturizing too. I would not feel comfortable applying without a mirror though. I wanted the game changer color in the trust fund nail polish but got what’s a budget. After Liz’s review I’m not really upset since the coral color is nothing like I had thought. The blue is pretty and has a bit of shimmer to it. I always like TheBalm samples and I don’t mind that they are small because they are so cute & it will take me forever to use that much anyway being a subscription addict on product overload. I like the color for a minimal makeup look. The doucce mascara wand looks pretty intense but I probably won’t try it for awhile since I already have 5 mascaras open that I’m using… I don’t want any more mascara but looking at all the products this month I think I got the 5 I would want most so I think ipsy is doing great on the matching! Plus getting to pick an item makes it even better.

I love the eyeshadow! The blush is pretty, but I hate how tiny their samples always are. I think I’m getting three full size items too, but I’m getting a Skone eyeliner. It’s a lower value than usual, but it’s still a decent bag, and more than double what you’re paying.

I am canceling Ipsy today, the products are so cheap, and my bag never arrives when it’s supposed too! Very dissatisfied!

I cancelled my ipsy after I received my June bag. I was disappointed. The NYX whipped in Plush is meh. No color pay off. Skone eye liner is full size, but this is my 3 liquid liner from Ipsy in the 5 months. The eye shadow Luna in Jace is cute. I also received Drm Lili Fab moisturizer, but j haven’t tried it yet. The Balm blush in Pinstripe is my favorite thing.

Anyone know what the replacement item is for the Luseta dry shampoo from April? It’s not showing anything in my list of items so wasn’t sure if we’d all get the same thing or an extra random item from this month’s list????

I received the Glamour Dolls shadow brush as well. I posted a pic on the forum. My bag actually arrived a lot earlier than the shipping said. I received it on June 10. The brush was inside the pink, padded envelope but not in the ipsy bag (it wouldn’t fit) so make sure you check.

Hey there, I just got my bag about an hour ago and I received not one, but TWO eye shadow brushes from Glamour Dolls! They are really cute and initially I only thought there was one. Not sure if we are all getting the same thing though

Did anyone else get a crazy long delivery date? Mine shipped today and they gave it delivery date of the 19th! My bag was one of the ones stuck in Stow last month for 2,weeks and I am wondering if they are anticipating it being late this month to?! Usually its 3 days hope this is not going to be a reoccuring thing.

I feel your pain. Was supposed to get my bag yesterday and it was shipped last Friday, but still the tracking status says it’s stuck in Georgia…my bag is coming from NC and I live in TN only an hour from the state line! This is unusual for me to not have it yet, but I’m probably just being paranoid. lol smh

Mine said Friday that it shipped and is expected on the 15th, but when I check the tracking it still just says the label was made and there’s no more info so I’m guessing the 15th will not happen at this point. Who knows, but as long as I have time to try things and review for next month I’m happy. I’ve been loving my selection these past few months!

It took them almost 3 weeks to update my tracking information and then I got my bag on the 3rd day!! This was my first time subscribing so I was kinda bummed but the sizes of the samples made up for it.

I got the same except instead of nail polish I am getting gold eyeliner at least it was gold in my email also showed green eye shadow but lip cheek stuff still shows Cocoa. My bag is still in warehouse . As late as my bag was last month I was hoping to get it earlier this month.

What you see in app is surprise but they emailed me with my colors. On app the eye shadow shows brown but in my email it says you are getting and shows green.

I painted nail polish when the nail will always be a lot of pollution next to, that is not painted the kind of good, every time you want to be painted bright and beautiful is very difficult, so I am sad.

I’m getting the Balm blush and the lip and cheek souffle as well. I’m kind of disappointed that the souffle doesn’t make a good lip product because who needs 2 blushes in the same bag? I’m pretty happy with the rest of my bag but I’ve so used to Ipsy knocking it out of the park for me.

We got very similar bags – the only difference is that I got the Skyn facial cleanser and the Skone eyeliner instead of the blush and body cream. This was my first ipsy and I loved it. That eyeshadow is AMAZING and I’ve used it at least five times since I got the bag. The only product I didn’t care for as much in my bag was the cleanser. I actually loved the texture, but it has that menthol tingling sensation that always irritates my skin.

On me, the Plush actually works well as a weekday lip – the only problem I had was that the color didn’t last long enough. But with my very fair skin tone, I often have to dilute lipstick and lip gloss with a sheer gloss for them to be acceptable colors for work.

This is my first Ipsy and I’m so disappointed. Low value and things I’m just not excited to try. 🙁

I’m disappointed too. I got the delectable body lotion, PUR mascara, the blush balm, beauty for real eyeliner and the only thing I’m happy about, the vasanti lip gloss. The delectable body lotion has both BHT andDiazolidinyl Urea (releases formaldehyde) in it and the balm has retinyl palmitate, which are ingredients considered less than healthy if you do some research. Lots of chemicals in these products I don’t want on my skin. May switch to another sub. What I don’t understand is that Ipsy has good products too, but no matter what I say in my reviews, I don’t seem to get the healthier ones..too bad.

I got my bag #2 today; #2 meaning that I started it a few months ago in addition to the bag I was already getting because I love ipsy that much (and I can swap away what I don’t care for). This bag came from Southern California up to Oregon. #1 bag is due on the 13th and is coming from North Carolina.

This is the first bag I can remember that I really like everything, and I was NOT expecting that when I looked at my spoilers page. It seems that they are trying harder to look at color preferences.

NYX Lip & Cheek Soufflé in Pink Cloud — I hate nudes on me, and dark lipsticks are only good if I’m going punk for the day/night. Orange / coral / peach shades don’t work on me … but this one is more pink-y than coral-y and just swatching on my hand it looks like it might work.

Balm Springs Blush — the color is probably too dark for me and I don’t wear blush much, but I just love these theBalm samples, they’re too damn cute!

Trust Fund Beauty Nail Polish in Game Changer — Orange. great. And I don’t really care for creams, I’m more of a glimmer girl. But! This is so insanely neon orange, I could go for a walk at night and wouldn’t need any other bright colored gear to be seen. Hello, 80s, it’s so good to see you again!

BioRepublic Skin Care masks in Aloe Rescue and Green Tea Detox — I don’t go out in the sun, but my super dry skin my love the aloe mask anyway, and detox is always good.

City Color Shimmer Shadow in Beach Cottage– yeah, bronze is really pretty, but I’ve got a million of of them. This green one tho? YASSS GAGA!! Mermaid lagoon with gold glimmer. This is the kind of color that you swatch on the back of your hand, then for the rest of the afternoon you pause for a moment to admire it, turning your hand at different angles to see how the colors change.

The bag itself? Ugh. So Lip Monthly. They could have done so much with this month’s theme, which I love, but this?? The only good part is the cloud zipper pull.

Treatment-Enriched Nail Polish in Green Daylily and I got DOUCCE mascara.

I love the polish I got and I’m happy to have the mascara but I love this variation too with the pretty coral polish 😊
