Bonus Item: Hanalei Lip Treatment, 0.17 oz. Sample Size - Value $6.42 (Buy a full-size, 0.53 oz. version for $20.00)

There's a bonus item in every box. Last month, I got something from this Hanalei brand, too—a lip scrub. This month, it's a lip treatment, which is sort of like a lip balm in tube form. The formula comes out thick and has a slight medicinal scent to it. According to the website, the treatment contains shea butter, as well as agave and grapeseed oil for antioxidant power.

The treatment tastes sweet on my lips. It takes a long time to fully sink in—since it's not sticky in the least, I liked that it lasted as long as it did. It truly feels like I'm treating my dry lips to their own personal spa day. It has the same nourishing, soothing effect that a drugstore lip balm might have, but I like that this formula is made with lots of natural ingredients, and is cruelty-free and paraben free!

WITH212 "The Astor" Tote Bag - Value $118.00

Wow, what a great pick from Ivory Clasp! I guess the preferences I set when I started my subscription captured my love for neutrals and a cool, modern aesthetic because this bag is dead on. It's made of faux leather, but it's much less stiff and artificial feeling than a lot of faux-leather bags I've owned in the past. The body of the tote, which is made of a single layer of faux leather, has the flopsy, supple feeling of a boho bag. The structure is a little bit casual and a little carefree. And it's super spacious. It's 12" tall, 16.5" wide, and has 6" of depth.

My only real problem with the bag is that the perforated details don't continue to the back side of the bag, which is smooth. I would've liked it to continue all the way around.

It's also not lined. I kind of wish it was, but I also see that it's not really necessary given the design (with the tiny holes peeping through).

Speaking of which, I really like these little crisscrossing perforations. I love summer, but I'm not the type to sport the boho dresses and woven totes that seem to take over stores this time of year. This ivory bag goes much better with my black tee shirts and jeans than a boho summer tote, but the perforations give it the tiniest bit of beachy flair. It's still super seasonal—it's just more of a peep toe shoe than a pair of strappy sandals. In other words, it's very me.

Verdict: I love the bag Ivory Clasp picked for me this month! The subscription costs $45.00 (plus free standard U.S. shipping), which is less than half of the retail cost of the bag. I also got a bonus lip treatment, which has been keeping my lips very happy. I feel like I'm definitely getting my money's worth from this subscription this month! I love how practical this bag is, as well as how beautifully it matches my taste. It's as if they translated the idea of the typical summer beach bag to match my style. I can see myself using this bag for everything from toting my laptop around to carrying yoga clothes or even packing supplies for a picnic.

I purchased the Valentine’s special and received the same tote bag that is pictured above. My first bag also had a value of $110 and I loved the style. I have to admit that the stylists at Ivory Clasp have impressed me. Will I renew my subscription? Probably not. I think I can get better quality bags in similar styles at Herbergers during their Rose Sale for about the same price.

I purchased just now using the current half off deal. I’ve NEVER had anywhere online charge me sales tax for the town I live in, the county I live in, municipal tax for the town I live in, AND state sales tax Lol that’s just super weird. Or no other site breaks it down in that manner and just clumps it into sales tax?? I HIGHLY doubt they are based out of my small town Lol soooo me continuing my sub with them at full price probably will not happen.

Just received my 2nd valentine deal bag and the 1st one from a 6-month deal.
I got a light blue cross body (quality looks sloppy) and a bebe tory tassel tote; both msrp is less than $80, not to mention the actual online sell price……
If I paid full $45/month, I’ll probably be pretty pissed…
Since I got both on deals, guess I’ll just have to sxxk it up…
Seems like the reviewed bags were pretty much all known brands with over $100 msrp……
I’m into all kinds of bags; call me a bag aficionado.
Really had high hopes for IC……
IC still have several chances to prove to me they’re worth keeping even after deals ended.
Plz don’t disappoint me…

I also received the bebe tory tote and am pretty unhappy as well. I’m kind of under the impression that bebe is going out of business, so the fact that they included this brand is a little disappointing. I think this is the third bag I have received from them and I am seriously considering returning it.

I also purchased the Valentine’s deal, with the discount code. I wonder if this has anything to do with it?

Also, doesn’t Ivory Clasp state they send current items? This bag isn’t even on the bebe website.

Cathy

I got the same bag as you, Anna, but mine is as in an orange color. It is beautiful! I have received 2 bags from Ivory Clasp and both are really beautiful, quality bags.

I was very disappointed with the bag I was just sent. I bought the 4 bag Valentine deal so this was my second bag. Neither of my bags contained a bonus item nor hand-signed cards. The retail on the bag I just received was $69.99 and was a plain beige clutch. My guess is that if you bought the Valentines deal then you don’t get the extras or the nicer bags.

I purchased the Valentine’s Day deal and I received the extra and the card. I think it was an error in whoever packed your box.

As a side note, both of the bags (crossbody) I have received so far are huge. They’re so heavy without putting anything in them. I’ve submitted a request to have them restyle me.
