This is my first Kawaii Box and I am pretty excited, so on to the contents!
Kabaya Shaka Shaka Gummy - Value $2.90
These candies have a little DIY factor to them like many kawaii candies do. Since the directions are in Japanese, I was thankful to find them linked from their website. The bag comes with a little pouch inside labeled "yogurt" that you pour in with the gummies and "shaka shaka" until they are coated in the powder, and like magic, they become hardened! They have a really tropical fruity flavor and I am delighted by the seal on the package playing maracas.
Rainbow Alpacasso Purse - Value $10.90
Eeeeee! Alpacasso is so wonderful! I'm an alpaca nutcase and already own so much stationery and stickers, but not of this pastel rainbow beauty. Being an adult, I will probably not actually put this small purse to use, but it brings me great joy, and high school Marne definitely would have loved this to death. I do like that is has a carabiner hook, a zippered pouch, and card holder to keep all the essentials.
Happy Bear Bread Mold - Value $2.90
I know that packing ultra-kawaii lunches is all the rage in Japan, so this would be a great tool to have. I haven't made a sandwich in ages, but this little orange bear mold is making me crave one, just so I can use it!
Blippo Sweet Pocket Mirror - Value $2.90
It looks like there are variations of this available, and I got the "Lucky Kiss" one. I like the pastel green and pink ombre style and could actually use a mirror to keep in my purse.
BK Glow-in-the-Dark Nail Polish - Value $4.60
Another item that has color variations, in which I received a pretty lavender color. I didn't realize it was glow-in-the-dark until I read the card, so I'm excited to try it! I have a couple other glow-in-the-dark polishes, but not in a hue like this one.
Blippo Pastel Heart Hair Ties - Value $1.50
This is another item that, although it's really cute, I probably will pass on to someone younger. The colors are very vibrant and I enjoy the sprinkle-like design, but I'm more of a subdued hair tie type of gal. Anyone with more colorful style, or teen-aged that receives this box will be stoked!
Sweet Food Cart Puffy Stickers - Value $2.10
Yessssss, more stickers!! I have a pretty siiick sticker collection that I use quite often. I send a lot of mail to far away friends and have always been into cute stickers since my childhood. I have a few food-related ones, but not any that are puffy like these! I'm more than happy for them to join my sticker family.
Breakfast Sticky Notes - Value $1.90
I am stationery's number one fan, and even though I just received some cool cactus sticky notes in the Happy Mail Box, I will gladly add these to my growing collection. Breakfast happens to be one of my favorite meals, so this itty bitty toast is perfect for me!
Pastel Rainbow Ink Pen - Value $2.10
The pen is mightier than the sword! No joke, I have about 100 pens in my desk where I now sit, and yet, I am overjoyed for this rainbow fella. I thought it'd write in rainbow all at once, but since the ink is staggered, it seems that it will write in this nice peach color for a while until the next color flows down. I'm a bit of a snob as well, and this one writes nice and smooth!
Pompompurin Sanrio Lollipop - Value $0.70
Apparently, you could get this lollipop or a Hello Kitty version, and I'm so pleased I got this Purin one! If you weren't a Sanrio nerd like I was in the 90's, then you may not know that Purin is a golden retriever who wears a beret and loves pudding. So now you know why this lollipop being pudding-flavored is very fitting.
Verdict: Kawaii Box rules. Being an adult lady in my late 30's, maybe not everything in this month's box is usable by me personally, but there was plenty here that made me smile and reminded me of being a teenager! I'm a little burnt out on Asian snacks, and there are other boxes solely dedicated to that, so I kind of wish this one stayed away from candy. That being said, the value I calculated equaled $32.50 which is way over the $24.90 monthly price tag, so it's definitely worth your while.
What do you think of Kawaii Box? Did you have a favorite item this month?
