Every month has a different theme, and May's theme was ALTER EGO. It features franchises like Spider-Man, The Hulk, Transformers, and DC Comics!
This crate turns into the Optimus Prime truck! I'd say this is one of the better transformations.
You'll get an information booklet with every delivery.
Inside, you'll find details about every item in the box.
Recently, Loot Crate started their Secret Order of Keys puzzle as well.
Inside, there will be puzzles to solve and submit on your Loot Crate account - solve the month's questions and you'll get bonus loot the next month.
Monthly Pin - Value $5?
This month's pin pulls from the ultimate alter ego - Doctor Jekyll and Mr. Hyde!
The pin comes with digital loot as well, you can find out what the loot is in the magazine, this month:
You'll get the Green Ranger as a limited time exclusive character download in Saban's Power Rangers: Legacy Wars!
Transformers G1 Optimus Prime Shirt - Value $15?
This month's exclusive shirt is licensed from Transformers and features Optimus Prime taking shape!
From truck to Autobot, this shirt has a bit of a vintage feel both in the thinner material and the aged-looking graphic.
Spider-Man Webslinger QFig Variant - Value $15-20?
Get ready to add to your growing QFig collection with this exclusive Spider-Man variant!
This variant features a black and white Spidey, mid-webslinging! QFigs are getting better and better - including a fantastic new Wonder Woman figure coming soon!
Hulk Bowl - Value $10?
You'll get a household item this month - it's a green Hulk bowl.
It's a pretty simple bowl, with a Hulk's fingers printed on the side. This is also hand-wash only, and not microwave safe. This one was my only 'meh' moment of the month.
DC Comics Mini-Poster Book: Loot Crate Edition - Value $15?
The final item is a booklet of 7x5 mini posters.
I was a massive fan of the New 52 DC line - so this is right up my alley. It spans across all the different comic lines - so there's something for all the DC fans out there.
Verdict: I'm consistently impressed with the exclusive items and value that Loot Crate is able to get into a $22 box - this month is no different, and more importantly - it shipped on time. They've been having massive problems with shipping delays across a ton of their lines - I think we're still waiting on April Loot Wear items, ourselves - they need to get that figured out as soon as possible because it's leaving a bad taste in subscribers mouths. Rightfully so. But, focusing on this box alone, I really loved the June box!
