Marvel Gear + Goods is new to the line of Loot Crate themed boxes.  This is a 'Partner Crate' from Loot Crate, so you'll be only receiving official Marvel collectibles, apparel, home goods and more. It's also bi-monthly - so expect it at your doorstep every other month.

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

The Subscription Box: Loot Crate Marvel Gear + Goods

The Cost: $39.99 + $5 S/H

ACTIVE DEAL: save $4 off of a monthly subscription, or 10% off of longer length subscriptions
CODE: ADDICTION

The Products:

  • Official Marvel Apparel, Collectibles & More
  • 4-7 EXCLUSIVE items in each crate
  • Themes based on the greatest characters in the Marvel Universe
  • $39.95 + S&H** ($80+ of retail value!)
  • Delivered every 2 months

Ships: Worldwide!

It has FINALLY arrived! This box was about a month late in getting to us - which, unfortunately, isn't unusual for Loot Crate lately. This box is late because of the Groot sunglasses not being able to get through customs - and because of that, they're actually not in the box - they will ship out the Groot sunglasses separately to subscribers.

The May theme was 'Cosmic Party' - a nice little primer for summer weather. As usual, you'll get a card with all of the details about the items inside.

Thanos Pin - Value $5-10?

This month's pin features the king of the cosmos - Thanos! The Marvel Gear and Goods pins are a little bigger than the core Loot Crate pins - so they are probably worth a bit more than the typical value.

Nova Corps Lifeguard Shirt - Value $15?

Each delivery includes an exclusive wearable, and this month features a t-shirt.

Sit poolside with this Nova Corps lifeguard shirt! The fit is really perfect for this shirt - plus, it's softer than usual - hopefully, this is the new norm for Loot Crate shirts.

Yondu Geeki Tiki Mug - Value $15+?

My favorite item of the month is this exclusive Yondu Geeki Tiki!

They've made the entire set of Guardians Geeki Tikis for purchase - but this Yondu mug is exclusive to Loot Crate - and those of us who have seen Guardians of the Galaxy 2 know that you have to have Yondu in your Guardians set!

It's a 14oz tiki shaped mug that is top-shelf dishwasher safe and microwave safe - a double win for our household.

Captain Marvel Beach Towel - Value $15-20?

The last item (minus the missing glasses) is a beach towel featuring Captain Marvel.

The towel is 57x27 and features Captain Marvel, of course.

It's a 100% cotton towel and they did a get job with this awesome graphic.

Verdict: As a big Marvel fan, I've always been excited when this one hits the mailbox. This month, I'm really liking the contents - especially the Geeki Tiki, pin, and shirt - but the shipping delays have been a problem for too long for Loot Crate! The value is there, but the shipping has definitely hampered the overall experience - I'm hoping they solve it sooner than later.

This looks like it would be a GREAT gift for a friend of mine, but I don’t understand why when you “gift” a box, it’s more money than if you’re ordering it for yourself.

They gave me a small credit and told me two weeks ago it’s going to be a month longer because they were making me a “replacement box” because they glasses had just arrived. Now they’re shipping out boxes without them and I don’t have a tracking number.

I’m in the middle of the country it shouldn’t arrive in California without even a tracking number created for the middle of the country yet. Horrible shipping and customer service.

I just received the Groot Glasses and they are fantastic. Well worth the wait.

I hear you about the shipping! I’m still waiting on a D&D hoodie from *January’s* Loot Wear. I keep being told it will come in “next month”. I had hoped my husband could have worn it to a convention we went to in *March*. Obviously, that didn’t happen. :/
