Good To Know: For the review, I'll pull the values from the card, but also check some websites for more pricing information.
As always, you'll get items across 5 categories - Fashion, Grooming, Nutrition, Fitness, and Tech.
You'll get an info card in your box. This will give a brief description of your items along with the retail value. I'll be using these values in the review.
This month included a few bonus coupons as well.
Ok - on to the items!
FASHION
Feat Socks - Value $22
The first fashion item in the box is a pair of Feat Socks.
These socks are tight but breathable - very comfortable! They're 85% Moisture-Wicking Polypropylene, 10% Nylon, 5% Spandex. I've been receiving some great new socks in recent boxes - including the incredible Pedestal socks in the Spring box - but these are right up there with some of my favorite fitting and feeling socks.
Blackrock Leather 'N Rich - Value $10 on their site (card lists it at $25)
There's a pretty big value discrepancy for this item on the card - they have it listed at $25 in value, but Blackrock's site has the same item listed for $10.
This formula is made by hand. Apply it to your leather goods to protect and clean them!
King Arther: Legend of the Sword Keychain - Value $5
This is listed as a bonus item - it's tossed in to get your ready for the new King Arthur movie.
Take Excaliber with you wherever you go!
FITNESS
SKLZ Dual Point Massager - Value $15
I LOVE these things - especially while sitting at my desk.
This specific massage is a bit more firm than ones that I had received in the past. It's great for your back, feet, shoulder - anything really!
Amazing Grass Protein Superfood - Value $35
Liz has been getting me into healthy smoothies lately, so this is nicely timed.
Here's a bit of detail about this protein powder from their site:
This Organic, all-in-one protein nutrition shake thoughtfully combines a superfood blend of plant-based protein with our farm fresh greens and nutrient-dense fruits and veggies. With a delicious chocolate peanut butter flavor and satisfying texture, this superfood combo is a convenient way to get the whole food nutrition your body needs with an amazing flavor your taste buds will love!
It'll add a nice base, and flavor, to our smoothies and is packed with 2 full servings of fruits and veggies! I made this with just water, and it wasn't great - but mixed with more items, or even with milk, I think it could be good.
GROOMING
Gold Bond Medicated Original Strength Body Powder - Value $9
This might be one of the most practical items that I've received in a Men's Health box - it's just your basic Gold Bond - but it's something that is never there when you need it, so it's nice to get a big 10oz bottle for home!
Bearded Bastard Woodsman Beard Oil - Value $20
This beard oil is made by hand in Austin, Texas.
These oils are made to keep your beard a bit less coarse and reduce itchiness. It's got a scent, too - to me, it smells like the lumber aisle at a Home Depot - which isn't a bad thing, but might not be your thing.
Daneson Mint Toothpicks - Value $5
This is my second set of Daneson toothpick in the past week - I received a different flavor in my May Menswear Club parcel.
Spoiler alert - I'm still loving these and am still using it as I write the review. This flavor, the No. 9 Mint, isn't as good as the cinnamon toothpicks - but they're still definitely an upgrade over any non-flavored toothpicks.
Pulse Skincare Matcha Scrub - Value $15
This scrub is great for your face - and even better with a Foreo.
It's made with the gym in mind - trying to cleanse your sweat while also protecting you:
An intense sweat-sesh can leave your pores clogged with dirt and bacteria, which leads to unwanted blemishes and, if you're a fan of spandex, acne in weird places. The Matcha Scrub also defends against fungus and infections that are commonly picked up at the gym.
This scrub is gentle enough to use on your face but powerful enough for your whole body. It specializes in removing dirt and impurities from your pores while banishing dead skin cells, leaving you with skin so your training partners will be green with envy!
Pulse Skincare Quick Fix Spray - Value $17
This was the item that I was most surprised that I really liked.
It has a refreshing rose water scent that I really like - like the scrub, it's mean to cleanse and protect on the go.
Evolis Professional Reverse Activator - Value $65
This is the most expensive item in the Summer box - it's meant to help your hair in many ways - reduces hair falling out, increases thickness, and helps with scalp health.
You'll apply the formula directly to the area you like to treat - you'll need to use this twice a day for 16 weeks for maximum results.
TECH
Luminaid Packlite Spectra USB - Value $25
There is only 1 tech item this month - but it's also a great one!
Fully charged, this will produce light for 12 hours with its LED bulbs. On top of that - it floats - so it's a great item for camping.
It produces a nice, bright light - in multiple colors! I'll be keeping this in the car in case of emergencies.
FOOD/NUTRITION
Your Tea Energy Tea - Value $25
You'll receive a 40 count box of Energy Tea bags.
I gave these a shot this morning - and it's a big miss for me, I didn't enjoy the flavor at all.
Love Grown Super Oats Packet - Value $5
You'll get a single packet of Love Grown blueberry oatmeal. I really liked this oatmeal - not too sweet, but very tasty with the added blueberries.
Skout Backcountry Raw Organic Pumpkin Seeds - Value $5
Now, I'm no fan of pumpkin seeds - I typically don't like anything pumpkin - but these are so loaded with jalapeno flavor that I actually really like them!
If you're looking for something nice and spicy - these really hit the spot.
Perky Jerky - Value $3 each
The last item in the box is a pack of original and teriyaki perky jerky.
As someone who can't wait to try jerky, I had already known what to expect here - they're ok, but not even close to the type of jerky I prefer - but the teriyaki is much better than the original. That being said, the bags are empty.
Verdict: There were A LOT of items to get through this quarter - which is great for a box at this price point. My values add up to $284 - which is awesome for the $98 cost! I typically refer to this as the FabFitFun box for men - while it's much more expensive that FabFitFun, it focuses across different categories every quarter - and, so far, it's one of my new favorites!
