The theme for summer is Island Vibes!
Each box comes with a booklet full of info on the items included.
They also include cocktail recipes and entertaining tips.
Now, on to the items!
8 Oak Lane Stemless Wine Glasses - Value $48
These palm leaf wine glasses are stunning! I love the gold trim detail and the dark green palm leaves with lighter green backing. So tropical and fabulous!
(One thing to note - these are handwash recommended.)
Time to make a drink!
Morris Kitchen Pineapple Lime Cocktail Mixer - Value $13
This mixer is made in the USA with all natural ingredients: filtered water, cane sugar, pineapple juice concentrate, lime juice, and bitters.
I love a sweet cocktail and this is perfect for me. For a super simple drink, I'd just mix this with champagne, (if left to my own devices I will put about zero effort into cocktail creation), but since Mostess included a few cocktail recipes, I had to try one!
Sunnylife Pineapple Cocktail Stirrers - Value $8
Sunnylife has been in a few subscription boxes now, and it's such a fun, summer brand.
These yellow pineapple cocktail stirrers are pretty cute, too.
Now, for the actual cocktail! I present, The Mostess Pink Pineapple:
This drink is a mix of Rosé, frozen watermelon, mint, Pineapple Lime Mixer, and Sparkling Water. And it is just as good as it sounds! The flavor combination is light and refreshing, and the frozen watermelon is such a smart addition. Now I want to add frozen watermelon pieces to all drinks! (Smartest alternative to ice ever!)
(Also good to know - Mostess includes recipes for alcohol-free Mocktails, too.)
Turkish T Beach Candy Towel - Value $45
I love Turkish towels and I'm always happy to add more to my collection!
This towel is lightweight enough to work as a wrap, sarong, beach towel, etc. You can also fold it in half to work as a table runner or use it as a throw.
(It measures 72" x 37" and is 100% cotton.)
Be Home Teak Platter & Mini Tongs - Value $25
(I can't find this exact set online, so I'm estimating the value.)
This hand wooden tray measures 10" x 6" and is perfect for tiny appetizers, or cocktail garnishes.
We decided to use it for extra pineapple to add to your cocktail! And this tray comes with the tiniest little tongs!
I recommend being careful using these - our's seemed a little fragile.
Janis and Melanie Key Lime Cookies - Value $6
These are tiny little cookies! (About the size of a quarter.) So they are a perfect bite-size treat to go with your cocktails.
My taste tester helpers agreed that these were tasty, and not too sweet or too tart!
Verdict: I think Mostess does an excellent job at curation, setting a scene, and inspiring you with lots of tips, recipes, and ideas. This is one of those boxes that just feels special throughout the entire unboxing experience. This really is a tropical summer party in a box!
The value works out to about $145, which isn't too much higher than the cost of the box but still puts you ahead by about $20. I wouldn't recommend this box if you are looking for something high value, but if you are looking for a special quarterly box that is very thoughtful, I think Mostess is great. (And this box would make a fabulous gift - the presentation is A+!)
