If we reactivate/subscribe now, will we get the same items as in the full spoiler? I inderstand there are variations on the colors but I really want to make sure I would get certain items before pulling the trigger.

I got box from them the same month I got of the waitlist. But I got off the waitlist on May 10th, received my box on May 24th.

Anyone on the waitlist previous to this coming out, will be activated. Look at your bank account. If your off the waitlist they will charge your bank. Give it a day or two. So they can catch up.

Kind of PO’D (Is that how you use that?). I emailed them about being on the waitlist from June 4th and if this meant I would be getting a box and their response was:

“Thank you for contacting BOXYCHARM regarding your current waitlist status!

With the growing success of our boxes, a temporary waitlist has been activated. We look forward to notifying you as soon as there is an opportunity to activate your account.

While we are unable to determine which will be your first box at this time, rest assured that once your account is processed, you will be automatically removed from the waitlist, your credit card will be automatically charged in accordance with the plan you selected, and the terms on our website for a recurring subscription will apply.

In the meantime, we encourage you to review your account information, including mailing address and billing information on file, to avoid shipping delays in the future.

Please feel free to contact us if we may be of any further assistance. Thank you and have a charming day! <3"

Temporary waitlist? Doesn't that contradict the website? I feel like they didn't fully read my email, and just looked for key words -____-.

I got off the waitlist on May 10th and I got the May box.

Definitely a form email. I did something similar, and asked if anyone had read it… and now I got a response from an actual person (from a different address btw!).

“Thank you for following up with us! After further reviewing your account we can see that you are currently on our waitlist but we do have to advise our charmers that our waitlist has been lifted meaning that we no longer have any charmers waiting to be subscribed due to this matter we have canceled your spot on the waitlist and we encourage you to resubscribe and you will get billed immediately. We are looking forward to charming you soon!<3"

So I guess I still have to resubscribe. This is my first time with Boxycharm, so I have no idea how this usually works, but this seems a hot mess! Oh well, to resubscribe I go…

What in the world? I complained about the generic response and in a few hours i got an email saying I was off the waitlist and a follow up apologizing for the hassle of this all. It better be worth it!

I resubscribed and got double charged when they decided to take me off the waitlist! I contacted them ASAP but I hear their customer service sux. Should I take it up with my bank?

Luna

I believe that is a form email they send out whenever anyone inquires about their status on the waitlist. It’s true (at least in my experience) that they don’t fully read the emails. This is what frustrated me when I emailed them to cancel my order when I was on the waitlist earlier this year. I asked to cancel, but received the same email you copied above. It wasn’t until a 2nd email (or it may have even been a 3rd) where they finally acknowledged my cancellation request (via another form email, I’m sure).

Luna, if signing up is such a hassle, I can’t imagine the hassle of cancelling!

Sara

I reached out about this, too and got the same reply that you did. I immediately emailed them back asking if they’d even read my email and how they can justify leaving people on a waitlist when other people don’t have to wait and are subscribing after us. I tried not to come across rude, but it’s annoying that I subscribed a day or two before this, and I’m wait listed. And I shouldn’t have to jump through hoops when I’m a paying customer. So frustrating!

Why do I want this box when I won’t use most of the stuff, don’t need any of the stuff and could use $240/year to buy things I do want?

Christine

For the entertainment value and novelty factor. I realized awhile back regardless of whether I am subscribed to boxes or not, I still buy the same amount of makeup and skincare.

Subscription box products don’t replace buying for me. But they supplement my collection and are entertaining for me and occasionally take me outside my comfort zone (e.g., the oval brush last month, the loose powder highlighter this month).

So for the cost of one real purchase a month, I can get multiple subscription boxes and have the option to try dozens of entertaining and novel items each month if I want.

Haha… I’m the same way. 😀 Despite my sub boxes, there are just some products I see in stores that I just *have* to have!!!

Jeanine

Have been wrestling with this exact thought one min after the post went up……I’m about to give into boxycharm!!!!!

No wait list I just reactivated my subscription. I was trying not to reactivate but the temptation was killer me plus when my husband said I had to much makeup it was a given I reactivated.

If I’m waitlisted, will I get a box for sure this month?? I haven’t received an email saying that I’m off waitlisted. Just wondering..

Dianne

They don’t always send a email. Look at your account on Boxycharms website if it show active your getting this months. If it doesn’t email them once. They usually take a few days.

Lidya

I checked my account and it doesn’t say I’m subscribe to a box, it says I need to reactivate it. I just emailed them and I’ll see what they say Bc I don’t want to reactivate it and receive 2 boxes.

Sara

I am wondering the same thing because I just signed up yesterday and was wait listed, but I haven’t received an email about it either.
