Would like to try is sub, any info on canceling if not a good match?

Bonnie

I didn’t specifically check into cancelling, but I did email customer service to find out about ship dates and bill dates. They answered the same day, so I feel that there wouldn’t be a huge problem if you needed to cancel.

Has anybody received a shipment notification yet? The site said delivery between the 10th and 15th, so figured maybe the first who signed up have at least got a shipment notification by now…

Bonnie

I just heard back from them after emailing to ask about billing and shipment. They said that the box will ship early next week, and we will get a shipment notification email. And we will be billed between the 1st and the 5th of the month for our recurring shipments.

Thank you, Bonnie!

Bonnie

I just logged in to check. It says status: unfulfilled. Maybe being a new sub they didn’t realize all that went into getting boxes/bags out quickly and they are finding it hard to keep that commitment. It’s July 11th.

Not yet!

I was so proud of myself for canceling glossybox (which was my first subscription box!) And now I just ordered this! Oh well.

I’d love to see it reviewed, even though I took the plunge sight unseen!

Jennifer

I just signed up, looks interesting and fun! Love edgy stuff and I’m 55 lol Age is just a number right?

We can be Edgy Women Of A Certain Age together! I’m 54 and just got my second (after 10 years) bright fuchsia mohawk. I love Nylon magazine so I ordered the box the minute I got the email from them. I’ve discovered so many wonderful beauty brands and products from them over the years that I’m pretty sure I’ll like the box.

Jennifer

Amen sister lol!

Helen Whaley

How very cool! There are some great brands so couldn’t resist this one. Especially with $5 off. I’d love to know the cut-off date to cancel once the first box arrives. Juuust in case this isn’t for me.
I’m guessing there’ll be a nail polish, mask (lots of Florapy on the site), body oil/face mist, lippie and sticker sheet.

Bonnie

I’m doing it. I just fought with myself over this.

Meg

This is very curious. Cool, edgy Nylon doing a beauty box seems off brand. But I guess publications are doing whatever they can to stay relevant. And they are definitely more mainstream these days after the Kardashian nonsense. Looking forward to more details…

Bonnie

Hopefully it’s cool edgy beauty products!

I wish there was one spoiler to HOOK us…

This!

15 bucks? I’ll give it a shot. I’ll never forgive myself for not getting that first Pusheen box, otherwise I’d pass this up. lol

So essentially prior non-buying FOMO regret is responsible for this purchase. Only other sub addicts will understand that reasoning…

Veronica

I just ordered for the same reason. I don’t have a clue about Nylon. I’ve never even heard of it.

Reply ButtonReply

Zo

and the first Adidas Avenue A box. Missed out on that one too.

Reply ButtonReply

Lola

More edgy boxes – yeah. Please review.

Reply ButtonReply

Helen

I am officially old. I have never heard of this magazine. After looking at the beauty items on their website I feel even older.

Reply ButtonReply

Melissa

It’s actually not a new magazine at all. It’s been around since about 1998-ish I think?

Reply ButtonReply

monah

Helen didn’t say she thought it was a new magazine, just that she hadn’t heard of it. I’m the same, I had never heard of the magazine so I checked it out and as Helen most of the products seem too young for me. It will be interesting to see what products they put into their boxes though.

Megan

I just got an email about this with a coupon code “FIRSTFIVE” for $5 off the first box.

Liz Cadman

Thanks so much for letting us know. I’ll add this to the post!

Megan

No problem! @ $15 for the first box, I’m giving it a try!

Sarah

Liz – can you please create a link to this box in the directory so I can add it to my “want” list? In general, it would be great if you added a link to the box profile bag when you are deciding whether or not to review, so those of us interested will get an alert when you do. Looking forward to seeing what ends up in this box!

Cami

Yes please review! Id love to see spoilers!

Sara

I would love to see a review of it! Not sure about subbing, Nylon magazine was too edgy for me back in the day.

Reply ButtonReply

SRG

I would really like to see this one reviewed. Looks like it might be aimed for a younger demo…Little Beautycon-ish to me

Lo

Oh man, a box curated by Nylon?? I was a reader in my teens and 20’s, and remember it being very NYC cutting edge/artsy — and that was before the Kardashian “break the internet” pics came out. Seriously curious about this one but also afraid to sub now that I have small children in the house and can’t have boxes of, I don’t know, holographic nipple pasties around to find 😂😂

Reply ButtonReply

Darcie

OMG, lol!!!! I just turned 60. But I am seriously wanting some holographic nipple pasties!!

Reply ButtonReply

Veronica

This sounds crazy by do you live in NC . A lady named Darcie lived in my apartment building. I could totally see her rocking pasties!

Lee

Sounds like they are fun for all ages!

nana

Fortunately, they’ll think they are stickers.

Unfortunately, they’ll probably appropriate them.

Reply ButtonReply

Lo

Imagining a scenario where my 4 yo boy finds these..Usually he just puts random stickers he finds on his baby brother’s head…

Emily F

Lololol, I didn’t even go looking for these, I just typed “beauty” into their search to see what kind of products they might include. But.

Lo

Omg 😂😂😂😂 I honestly made that up, didn’t think it was real!! Never change, Nylon!!! For real, I hope they don’t get a bunch of tweens subbing because they think it’s another BeautyCon box. May stay PG13 because description says “beauty” but that phrase “small accessories” has me worried.

alasha

Yes, please review it. I do not want to order it until I see a review from you. I trust your opinion and want to see the boxes value first before ordering.

Reply ButtonReply

Mary Beth

I would definitely like to see it reviewed.

Reply ButtonReply

jenn

yes, please! love to see spoilers.

Kris

Please review…I’m excited to learn more about this subscription box.

Reply ButtonReply

Jackie

This might be more trendy than Allure, I’m interested in seeing this reviewed!

Reply ButtonReply

Jenny

Hmm. 20$. Not bad. Just wondering how is it compared to Allure (which is 5$ less) . Pls review this box, Liz! This box seems like something I (and many) want to know more about
