This is a no-frills subscription. You'll be getting the amount of POPs of your choice in a plain brown box.
Here's a quick run-down of creating your PIAB account:
The first thing you'll want to do is set up your collection. This is an important step to ensure that you don't receive a duplicate POP or a POP that you may not care about.
You can cycle through POPs and selection options for each one. Mark 'Add to my Collection' for POPs you have and avoid duplicates. Give POPs a thumbs down to let PIAB know that you don't want it, and mark it as thumbs up to let them know that you're really interested in that specific POP.
There are a TON of POPs to go through. I haven't even gone through all of them, but in the end, you'll have built your own collection! This will help you keep track of what you have, and it will help PIAB know what to send.
They also no offer subscription options for Marvel, DC, Disney, Dorbz, and Rock Candy - find out all the details here!
The Archon
Subscribers always have a chance of snagging a rare variant, Ride, of 6 inch POP with their random picks - this is the second time I've received an oversized POP!
This POP is seriously impressive - and it's the first POP I've received from the Mass Effect Andromeda line...time to get the collection going!
Stimpy
Just a heads up - this POP actually arrived in a completely different box, about 4 days later - so your subscription can be shipped in multiple boxes which was news to me!
Anyways...
I love Ren and Stimpy. I even have a backpack with them on it - so it's safe to say that a Ren or Stimpy POP is always a pure win.
The Nickelodeon POP line coming out is pure gold - I can't wait to start collecting all of it! They just released a video today - take a look:
Gwenpool
My third POP comes from Marvel - it's Gwenpool!
Don't miss that little plastic stand in the box or it's near impossible to get them to stand! I've been waiting to get this POP because the character is great, and this sculpt is as well - so I was happy to find it in my box.
Lara Croft
The latest Tomb Raider games are just fantastic - if you haven't played them yet, I highly recommend them, especially if you're into games like Uncharted - you'll love these.
Once again, mind the little plastic stand. Lara has the classic double guns look and outfit from the older games.
Screech
I can remember having Saved By The Bell on the TV while I got ready for school - so, naturally, I was all about collecting these POPs and Screech finishes my collection.
Screech kept falling forward - so the figure had to be bent a bit to make it stand upright. People suggest applying heat to the problem area (typically with a blow dryer) to allow you to adjust the vinyl figure until it stands upright without assistance.
Wonder Woman
My final POP is from the incredible Wonder Woman movie (go see it, just do it).
I love this POP because it shows off the sword, lasso, and shield all in one sculpt - it also reminds me of the scene in the movie where she's taking on machine gun fire - easily one of my favorite parts.
Verdict: This subscription is really only for the bulk collector. Fill out your profile and you'll get POPs randomly at a bit of a discounted price - but you also get the chance to get Rides and bigger POPs, like I did this month. For me, I'm building out my POP wall, and I keep a close eye on my POP in a Box list, making sure I'm checking off the POPs I want and the ones I don't on a pretty frequent basis. It takes a little housekeeper, but it's yield good results in the POPs I've received so far.
