Squix QBox is a relatively new subscription box. Each month they send you germ-fighting products customized to your preferences. (You get to pick 2 of the 3 items and make changes if you want to before the box ships). You can also change frequency or skip any month you aren't interested in.

Today, I'll be reviewing Squix's introductory trial box, or "Qbox", which is free + $3.95 discount shipping. The Squix Qbox is a limited time offer that includes three full-size products (awesome!), but it's only available while supplies last!

This box was sent to us for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Mrs. Jones' Soapbox All-Purpose Disinfecting Spray, 16 oz. - Retail Value $9.99

The first cleaning product is an all-purpose spray from Mrs. Jones' Soapbox, a company that opts for natural ingredients and essential oils over chemicals wherever possible.

The pale pink color is really pretty. If I forget to put the bottle away after tidying up, I suppose it'll look nice sitting on my counter! The scent is lovely, too—it's sort of a bright lavender smell with hints of citrus. It did a nice job cleaning up my kitchen counter's post-dinner-prep, and the fragrance gave my kitchen a clean vibe.

Core Flexible Cutting Boards, Set of 4 - Retail Value $13.00

Of course, this box isn't just about cleaning—it's about keeping clean, too! This set of small cutting boards lets you dedicate one board for each type of food you might prepare, which helps prevent cross-contamination.

Check out my review of the Squix QBox!

Each board has a little icon on the bottom corner to help you remember which to use for what purpose.

These are little boards (11" x 8"). For instance, a head of broccoli would just fit on the board with the broccoli icon on it. Though I'm usually just cooking for myself, I find that I usually run out of chopping space on my usual, larger cutting board. So I kind of wish these were a smidge bigger.

Where these are a little lacking in size, they make up with in quality. They're odor and stain resistant, flexible, reversible, and best of all, dishwasher friendly!

Chive Arch Vase in Blue - Retail Value $25.00

I didn't expect to find a decor item in a cleaning box, but I'm happy I did! Plants are becoming a big deal in decor, not just because they look awesome, but they help keep the air clean and fresh. I also read once that keeping fresh flowers encourages people to keep a tidier home!

Check out my review of the Squix QBox!

This glass vase has a really lovely blue color and a funny macaroni-noodle shape that I thought was a little bizarre at first. I'm used to standard upright vases, but I like that this vase pushes my style a little outside the box.

And I was surprised to find that flowers look gorgeous inside this vase! They have an easy, effortless quality to them when they're laying down, don't they?

Verdict: I was so impressed with this practical, fun box! I calculated a value of $47.99 for the products inside, which is amazing given the fact the box cost a mere $4.95. I like that the items inside weren't just about cleaning, but about bettering your home from all angles. What a great introduction to the Squix clean home subscription!

I would love this except you have to call to cancel. Such a deal breaker for me. ):

Me too — but I was able to successfully email to cancel. Usually when companies do this I email and say it isn’t convenient for me to call them (it isn’t) and can they please cancel my subscription for me. Most of the time companies oblige, and this one did!

I have those cutting boards in a larger size. I got them for around $8 at the At Home store here in Texas.

Hi, when I put in coupon it took price to $3.95 in final screen. This is a great deal. I have been wanting some of these cutting boards for home and camping. Can’t wait to try spray. Not sure about vase, I may swap or fall in love with it.

I have been a Squix box customer for about 4 months. I was trying a bunch of different subscription boxes. At one time, I was getting 9 different subscription boxes a month! I have cancelled all of them EXCEPT my Squix box. I LOVE SQUIX! I use every single item they send me. I have only had to call Customer Service one time (when I got my last box, I was missing one of my Core Flexible Cutting boards). I sent an email through their website. Before I had a chance to check for a response, I received a replacement in the mail! Really very impressed with their service and products. 🙂 Thank you Squix!!!

I would love to swap for those cutting boards if anyone doesn’t want theirs!

Been with Squix few months and love it so far.
Great products, and like that I can choose some items and try some items that I would have not known about.
Great CSAs too

Anna,
The shipping, for me, is ringing up 4.95 even with the coupon. Code msafreebox. I decided to wait so I can ask if the 3.95 you have in your review is correct??

We made a typo – this first box offer used to be something like $2.99 + $3.95 shipping but now it’s free with $4.95 shipping. Hope that helps!
