Each bi-monthly delivery of Smuggler's Bounty has a Star Wars related theme. Past themes include Jabba's Palace and Bounty Hunters - this month's theme was 40th Anniversary!
Please Note: Our shipment was missing the information card - which is a bummer because it's my favorite information insert in the biz!
Themed Patch + Pin - Value $10?
Each month includes a themed patch and pin on the inner lid. This month's patch features Luke in his X-Wing gear and the pin features Chewy!
Luke Skywalker with Speeder - Value $35 on POP Price Guide
This month marks the return to incredible POP molds since the January box - that's two major POPs within the last 3 deliveries - nicely done!
For me - it's a toss up for best POP of Smuggler's Bounty after this release - Han Solo on the Tauntaun is so good, but so is this! What's your favorite?
The speeder definitely has some fun detail on its body - and Luke stays in the car, but his head still has some articulation.
Han Solo + Greedo Salt and Pepper Set - Value $15-20?
This month includes some POP Home goods - it's a salt and pepper set appropriately featuring Han and Greedo.
Who seasoned first? (I had to do it)
These are your basic porcelain shakers in an operational sense, but this is about the best design I've ever owned.
Star Wars Wrist Sweatbands - Value $5-10?
The wearable item of the month wasn't a shirt, instead, they went for a callout to the decade that featured the first film and included two wrist sweatbands.
Verdict: You can lose with the Luke with Speeder POP, but can we all just say it - where is Leia!? I don't think that a spot on the box lid is enough for a major character in the franchise in an anniversary box - and I'm betting I'm not alone. Overall, their POP sculpts have been pretty great so far in 2017 - so I'm excited to see what the next theme brings.
