Sugarbash is a bi-monthly subscription box curated by radio-host Shirley Strawberry. The box includes a mix of beauty and lifestyle items.

My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

The Subscription Box: SugarBash

The Cost: $39.99 every other month

The Products: Every other month you will receive a box of carefully selected full-size products. Each box is curated by radio-host Shirley Strawberry.

Ships to: US Only

Check out all of our SugarBash reviews!

Each box comes with a fold out card detailing the items included.

It starts with a letter from Shirley.

And ends with a note from the Sugarbash team:

Now, on to the items!

Melinda Maria Necklace - Value $68

This necklace is made with 18k plated gold, and micro pave CZ stones. The chain measures 19" + a 1" extender. The pendant piece is a little over one inch long.

It's gold, delicate, and sparkly - I'm happy!

Joe Faris Apron - Value $75

This is an exclusive design collaboration made just for Sugarbash subscribers.

The apron is made with a very sturdy 100% cotton denim, with a red neck strap and a black waist strap.

It has plenty of pockets and extra loops, too. (If you told me this was a workshop apron, I'd believe you!)

It's extremely well made, and practical, too.

Limited-Edition Freesia Pear Spongellé Shower Sponge – Value $15

If you aren’t already familiar Spongelle Sponges, they are pretty amazing.

They are infused with body wash, and the sponge is firmer than your typical bath pouf, so you get exfoliation added in, as well. (And this sponge should last you for about 20 washes!)

This light floral Freesia Pear scent is my favorite Spongelle scent, too!

Milton + Margies Vintage Punch Glass Soy Candle - Value  $18

Another scent I like! Very summer appropriate!

This soy candle was poured into a vintage punch glass! Creative upcycling! (And this run of candles is exclusive for Sugarbash subscribers as well.)

Moozie Coozie - Value $5

At first, when I saw this I thought, "eh another coozie..." But then I realized this coozie is a larger than the standard can size. And then I actually read the card and discovered this is a coozie designed for an ice cream pint. (!!!!)

This is pure genius!

Luxury Divas Fuzzy Socks - Value $5

I love a good pair of cozy, fuzzy socks!

These are super soft, and perfect for binge-watching Netflix with a Moozie Coozie in your hand!

Shiraleah Ring Dish - Value $6

This little ring dish appears to be personalized? I love it!

How to Live in Flip-Flops by Sandy Gingras - Retail Value $12.99 (On Amazon for $8.53)

Book Summary from Amazon:

The perfect gift for anyone who appreciates a simple, relaxed lifestyle.

In How to Live in Flip-Flops, Sandy Gingras helps readers forget the complicated in favor of the simple, wonderful things in life. Gingras's delightful watercolors and poetic prose showcase the benefits of slowing down and finding happiness in the things that really matter. Whether or not you're at the beach, everyone can relate to the laid-back easiness that comes with living in flip-flops. Includes charming maxims such as:

  • Lose the uncomfortable shoes
  • Be thankful
  • Smell like a coconut
  • Go slowly to see the little things

This is the perfect gift for family and friends - whether for those who already embrace an easygoing harmony with the world or for those who need a gentle reminder of what's truly important.

This book is about valuing the simple things in life. If it's not for you, I think it would make a nice gift, too.

And Sugarbash included a bonus item to go along with it:

A flip flop bottle opener!

Verdict: This box has a value of about $205! I don't know how they do it. This is an amazing value for $40. Even though I'm most excited about my new ice cream pint coozie, I'll use just about every item in this box, too!

I just received my box today. I love the cute little candle that smells great and the apron will get lots of use. I don’t know about the book though. I have to find someone to give that to.

I received an email last week that a tracking number was created and an update today that my package will be delivered by USPS tomorrow 6/24. This will be my third box from Sugarbash this year and I have been extremely happy with the product and their customer service. An exceptional value for the money paid! I love the collaboration with designer Joe Faris, I am so excited to get my new apron! I will continue this subscription and have always paid in advance as I don’t want to be on the list that ends up missing out. There is nothing “shady”about this company.

I’m still waiting for my box after receiving an email about it, I think last week.

This is my first time subbing with this company so I’m hoping it is reputable 🙂

Update: 👍
Got my box! Beautifully packaged. Quality merchandise. I’m not an apron person so I’ve already gifted it to a friend that loved it. Definitely a value for the money.

Lia

It is a great box. I think they print ALL the shipping labels at once and then process in waves. I got the email on 6/17 and no movement until 6/22. I’m not far from the origin point, so I actually got mine today.

I just signed up, is the box I’m going to get?

Carrie

I would like to know if anyone but Liz had been able to get a hold of their box. I’m having a heck of a time with this company and their deception.

I was charged May 3rd and I still have no tracking number or any info on my box. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

I emailed them and then a label was created a few days ago but the pkg hasn’t been picked up to get in transit. Frustrating that shipping is getting delayed (I was initially told it would ship to me by June 16 and it’s still not in transit).

Carrie

I’ve had the same issue. After I asked them about my box they made a label but each time I check on it nothing has even been picked up. I paid May 3rd and told it would go out the first week of June. So ANNOYING!!

Wanda Gentry

There is always something in the box that I won’t use, but it just goes in my gift pile to pass on to someone who would love it. SugarBash is by far my favorite box. I’m on the list for the second wave of shipping this month. I hope everything is the same when it arrives.

Love this box. I am so happy I signed up for VIP after my first box. Great quality items, and the apron with the red and black ties is perfect for my husband.

It says that if you sign up now for a box your first box will be the Hello! box, and will feature the best of 2017. Does anyone know if this is a new thing? Or are their already spoilers for the Hello! box somewhere?

Oooh that’s interesting….I read this review this morning and went to buy the box immediately and it said they were temporarily out of stock but shipping another wave in July. So I bought it and my confirmation email says, “Home Sweet Home box shipping in July.” However, this morning the website also said if you signed up before May 14, you’d get a personalized item and a free gift. (This statement appears to be gone now.) So I wrote to them and said I bought the box based on Liz’s review and I was curious whether I’d still receive the ring dish, even if not personalized, and whether my box would include whichever item was considered the “free gift.” I think the info card indicates the bottle opener is the “free gift,” which is one of my favorite items in the box and, honestly, it’s what pushed me over the edge to buy it.

Looking to swap for the purple/pink apron if anyone is interested!

Does anyone if you can still get this box? I love it and must have it!!!

I think I need to sign up for this one! I’ve added a reminder to my calendar for Aug 1st. Looks like with the LE box still out there, now isn’t a good time to sign up. I don’t want to buy that one for $80.

I hope they do another promo with a extra gift or something for signing up!
I’ll be watching for it! I used to listen to Shirley on the radio, when I lived in the LA area, years ago.

I love this box. I’m not sure about the apron and I’ll be swapping the book and bottle opener, but I love everything else. This is my third box and this is my favorite sub right now. I can’t wait for the next one!

Jenny

Kinda a meh box for me. But I guess the necklace is pretty enough to keep me stay with them. Pop sugar, Box of style and Fab fit fun do send some jewelries in their boxes but this box by far has the most impressive quality and closet to my personal accessories tastes.

Julie

I got the email about the VIP and was just confused by all of it. So happy with this box! I’ll probably swap the necklace but kinda loving the apron and when I first saw the book I was turned off but by the end of the review it grew on me. Can’t wait for this box!

Wow, I haven’t heard the name Shirley Strawberry in years. She was great on the radio in L.A. back in the day, but of course they sold the station and it was never the same. This is a cute box.

Shay

I’m in the minority here but this box doesn’t wow me at all. I love Spongelles and the apron looks nice but the rest of the items are a miss for me.

Chris

I don’t understand fuzzy winter socks in a summer box? I like the apron and candle! I do not subscribe to this box but it is on my watch list 🙂 I went with Happy Rebel instead for now (for my sub box budget).

Reply ButtonReply

Jessica

At first the fuzzy socks puzzled me, too. But then I realized my feet are perpetually cold in air conditioning, so I’ll probably use them a lot this summer.

Kathryn

The socks are in there because it isn’t necessarily a “summer” box, but a home themed box. Those socks are super cozy and I can’t wait to wear them around my apartment! A lot less bulky than slippers!

katie

I was thinking the exact same thing.

Jessica

If I subscribe now will I get this box? I love everything!

According to the website it’s only TEMPORARILY sold out and another set of this box will ship in early July.

Rhonda W

It’s sold out as most months do

Kaycee

So,, for new subscribers – do we wait or are we getting a hello box?

Karly

I don’t subscribe but will happily take that apron off anyone’s hands if they won’t use it. I’m a broke culinary student and would put it to good use!

OMG! what an amazing box! I love it. Cannot wait to get mine. They send me an e-mail saying that they send boxes to VIP first and I will be on a second wave of shipping, which is fine. I wonder how can I upgrade myself to VIP. Any suggestions?

Reply ButtonReply

Debbie

I sent the Marketing group an email message asking how I could upgrade to VIP membership, because like so many others, I love this subscription! The reply I got back was very simple, basically at this time they can’t upgrade my membership, but will send out an email notification earlier This fall offering the upgrade at that time.

gillep

I received an email asking if I would like to become VIP, I believe it involved prepaying for 3 boxes. You could always try emailing them, I can’t say enough good things about my experiences with Sugarbash CS.

I loved this box, the apron was so amazingly well made, it was very impressive!

Sarah

Sugarbash is my new favorite box! I’ve gotten the past 2 boxes & have loved every item. Can’t say that about many sub boxes!
