Each month’s box had a special theme. June’s theme is “In the Garden.” The card lists the items in the box along with their retail value but I also received a paper describing the After Sun Lotion and the After Sun Bath Soak.
One of the benefits of this box is that some items can only be found in the monthly Bee Box. The downside of that is that if you love the product, you may not be able to get another. The quality of the items are great so I’m willing to risk the scenario.
All products are by Hart’s Handmade and the prices listed come from Hart’s Handmade card insert.
Essential Oil Bug Spray – Listed Value $10.00
I know bug spray is supposedly safe for kids but I just hate putting all those chemicals on my little one – especially while she’s running around and sweating. This chemical free essential oil bug spray will be well used in our house. The eucalyptus lemon smell is strong in this spray but I really like it so that doesn’t bother me.
After Sun Essential Oil Lotion – Listed Value $12.00
Wow! Hart’s Handmade products smell delicious! Seriously, how do they do it? I receive a lot of items that smell good but these really top the list. My sister and mother both tried to steal this lotion from me but I couldn’t let that happen. The smell of this very thick aloe vera lotion is on the minty side but it also has chamomile and lavender oil as well as rice bran oil, sunflower oil and shea butter. It’s really thick and creamy!
Diffuser Bracelet - Listed Value $8.00
I’ve never heard of a diffuser bracelet before but I looked it up and it is a bracelet that the user can add essential oils too. I guess this is a good alternative for people who don’t want to wear perfume and it’s a great way to use some of the essential oils in your stock. My bracelet has a great lemony smell to it that I’m guessing maybe lemon eucalyptus? Whatever it is, I like it – it’s cute on and it smells great.
After Sun Essential Oil Bath Soak w/ Coconut Milk - Listed Value $18.00
This is another product that smells so unbelievably good. I really want to know their secret- the scents are unlike anything else I’ve smelled before. I could imagine eating whatever it was that smelled that good- that is how close to the real thing these products smell. The Epson salt, lavender, spearmint, and coconut go really well together, making me wish today was my day in the sun.
Hart’s Handmade does such a good job with the little details and I love that they are devoted to their mission (or what I think is their mission) of raising awareness and supporting the saving of bees. This month they included this cute card with their “Top 5 Coolest Facts about Bees!” Did you know that honey is the only food that contains all the substances needed to sustain life, which includes water?
Verdict: I’ve really enjoyed my first two months of The Bee Box by Hart’s Handmade. In fact, this box is quickly moving to the top toward the most loved position. The products are well made and the packaging and curation of the box are impressive. I loved opening the box, taking everything out and trying it – it was a treat for the senses. This box would make a fabulous gift! Everyone I know would like it.
Hart’s Handmade promises no less than $40 dollars’ worth of products in The Bee Box and this month they delivered $48 worth of great products for a $33 box (shipping is an extra $8). The website also says 5-7 products will be included but I haven’t minded getting 4 products the last two months because the value is higher than the $40 promised and the quality is very good.
The money value isn’t super when you add the price of shipping to the cost of the box (total cost is $41) but I received products that aren’t available anywhere else, everything was high quality and most importantly, I loved it all.
