Each month of The Collector's Case has a theme or featured franchise(s). This month's theme was Gotham! It was also the one-year anniversary - so, confetti!
Every shipment comes with an information card that details the items and possible box variations you could receive. And, yes, there's going to be confetti from here on in because it got EVERYWHERE.
Riddles Me This Shirt - Value $15?
This month's shirt is a straight-forward Riddler shirt. The front features this stylistic question mark.
Ans the back features The Riddlers favorite opening to a riddle.
The Riddler Imposter POP - Value $7-11 on Amazon
This month includes the same Funko POP for all subscribers - it's the perfect Batman mashup POP - The Riddler Batman.
The Imposter line has some fun putting Batman together with his greatest foes. This was one of two that I haven't received yet - so I think I'm just a Poison Ivy Imposter away from complete this line!
Monogram Batman Bust Bank - Value $25 on Amazon
You'll get a Batman bust bank - and really, who better to guard your money than the Caped Crusader.
It features the Batman sculpt from the Arkham Asylum game - the first in just an awesome series of Batman games.
Mash'ems Batman - Value $4 on Amazon
You'll receive a mini blind box item featuring either Catwoman, The Riddler, Penguin, Batman, The Joker, or Harley.
I got Catwoman. These things are like a tiny stress ball to me - they're squishy and fun to toy around with in the more stressful times.
The Riddler Keyring - Value $16 on Amazon
For the third Riddler item in the box - you'll get a pewter keyring featuring the villain's mug.
This is made by the same company that makes the Batman bank - it's got a decent size and weight to it - with the classic Riddler look.
The Original Crazy Foam - The Joker - Value $15 on Amazon
You'll get some crazy foam that is a 3-in-1 body wash, shampoo, and conditioner and features batman's greatest nemesis - The Joker.
DC Comics Essentials - Batman: Year One - Value $1
The last item in my box that wasn't a variation was a Essentials copy of Batman: Year One #1.
Inside, has issue #1, but also a bunch of marketing material around the DC Universe - this is why it doesn't cost as much as a normal comic.
Bonus: Gotham Card Packs - Value $6-10?
I did get one of the possible bonus items this month (you could have received an autograph as well), in the form of Gotham trading cards.
Extra luck - I pulled a wardrobe card from Jim Gordon which is a 1:24 pack rarity - awesome bonus items!
Verdict: When I saw that the theme was going to be 'Gotham', I was so excited - the box was good, but with a theme like this, I just felt like it didn't blow me away. But, I've never had any value issues with this box and I've always received 3-4 items that I really like in the boxes - with that in mind, The Collector's Case is becoming on of those boxes that I look forward to each month!
