Now, on to the items!
invisibobble Traceless Hair Ring – Value $7
These hair ties are designed to prevent any kinks/bumps/ridges in your hair that typically happen with a normal hair tie. I have medium-weight wavy hair, and this hair ring held really easily with only wrapping it around twice.
Londontown Lakur Enhanced Color in Cheerio – FULL SIZE! Value $16
I’m in love with this sheer pale pink shade! It’s a great no-polish polish look. Here it is with two coats:
Londontown kur Nourishing Cuticle Oil – FULL SIZE! Value $18
This cuticle oil works instantly to moisturize and improve the appearance of cuticles. And there is no chemical smell – love it!
Jane Iredale Smooth Affair Facial Primer and Brightener – 7 ml Value $6.75
I’ve sampled this primer before and it works well! My skin feels smoother and ready for makeup. I can’t say I notice any special difference between this and other primers, so I likely wouldn’t buy this in full-size, but I’ll use every drop of this sample.
Jurlique Rose Moisture Plus Revitalising Gel-Lotion - 5 ml Value $4.70
This lotion is SO lightweight and soothing! The only downside for me is the rose scent. It's not a dealbreaker, but I'd prefer a different scent or unscented.
Supergoop Setting Mist with Rosemary – 15 ml Value $6
Make sure to REALLY shake this for an even application. (I learned that the hard way the first time I sampled this product!)
When you get an even mist, this setting spray is pretty great. It sets your makeup, gives you SPF 50 protection, and also a matte finish!
Doucce Bombastic Lash Volumizer Mascara - .2 oz Value $4.80
I'm always skeptical when trying a new mascara, but this one was a pleasant surprise! Good volume + good lash definition! B+!
Amika Un.Done Texture Spray - .75 oz Value $7.50
This spray smells fab and adds texture and a little volume. Not much different from other texture sprays, but still a good item!
Gingko’s Secret Caring Hand Balm – FULL SIZE! Value $17
This formula is for dry to extra-dry skin, and it is super hydrated. (Of course, that means it takes a little longer to fully absorb, but it still absorbed without any greasy feeling.)
Oscar Blandi Volumizing Dry Shampoo Spray - 1.4 oz Value $7
This is one of the first ever dry shampoos I've ever tried and it is a classic! (Tip from MSA readers - if you don't need dry shampoo, try it as a shoe deodorizer!)
Mally High Shine Liquid Lipstick in Mod Pink – FULL SIZE! Value $20
This is called a liquid lipstick, but really it is more of a lip gloss. There is some color, but really this has the feel and shine of a lipgloss.
Here it is swatched:
Limited-Edition Freesia Pear Spongellé Shower Sponge – Value $15
If you aren’t already familiar Spongelle Sponges, they are pretty amazing.
They are infused with body wash, and the sponge is firmer than your typical bath pouf, so you get exfoliation added in, as well. (And this sponge should last you for about 20 washes!)
Erno Laszlo Firmarine Face Bar – .6 oz Value $2.80
Erno Laszlo soaps are always such a treat to get in boxes (but they are SO tiny)! This soap has a wonderful fresh scent, too.
Verdict: This box has a value of about $132. I think that's great for a $40 box IF you aren't already an Allure Beauty Box subscriber! Almost every item in this box was a repeat for me, and most are good to have backups of, but still, it's not a good discovery box.
Did you get an Allure X RueLaLa box? What do you think of it?
