From time to time, Amazon releases certain sample boxes for Prime Members. The K-Cup Sample Box samples 6 brands of coffee - 13 K-Cups in total Plus, you'll get the cost of the box back as a credit to use on qualifying items.

My Subscription Addiction pays for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

The Box: Amazon K-Cups Coffee Sample Box

Ths Cost: $7.99 (Get $7.99 back in credit a week after it ships)

The Products: Keurig K-Cups from 6 different brands.

And in case you missed any of the other free-after-credit boxes, check out all the Amazon Sample Boxes!

This one is pretty self-explanatory - you'll be getting 13 K-Cups to try for $7.99 - which is returned to you in store credit so you can buy more K-Cups!

Peet's Coffee

Peet's is a brand I'm familiar with from my time in California - that being said, I don't believe I've tried their coffee via K-Cup.

I drink my coffee black - and I've had a lot of issues with k-cups tasting a bit plastic-y, which is why I stick primarily to Starbucks K-Cups - in my opinion, they taste the most like a normally brewed coffee from a K-Cup.

Both Peet's cups were really tasty! I really like my coffee to taste like sold and bold coffee - and these two hit the spot without anything interfering.

Brooklyn Bean Roastery

Wow! These were some incredible flavors. Their basic dark and medium blends were perfectly brewed and tasty by itself - but I was most interested in trying the Maple Sleigh.

As I said above, I steer clear of anything flavored when it comes to coffee - but naturally, I had to try this for the review! Let me just say, the scent during and after brewing was such a strong maple scent that it smelled like I had just finished some pancakes - it was really a fantastic smell. More importantly, the taste was really good - a pleasant surprise for a boring coffee drinker like myself.

Green Mountain

Breakfast blends are not really in my wheelhouse either - just a bit too light for my taste. Green Mountain is a brand that I've had plenty of times from Costco, and overall, it's alright, but not preferred for me.

The Original Donut Shop

Again, this is a very well-known Keurig brand of coffee which I've had plenty of times. Much like the above coffee, it's just never been a coffee that I've enjoyed - to me, it's too light.

Newman's Own

Like Green Mountain above, I've tried Newman's Own plenty of times as well. For me, it's another that doesn't capture what I define as a bold coffee taste from the Keurig. That being said, the company itself is pretty cool and donates 100% of profits to charity!

Caribou Coffee

This was the pleasant surprise of the box for me. I've had Caribou Coffee from their coffee shop, but never via K-Cup. I made the assumption that it'd be like most K-Cups (for me) and would lose that taste when brewed in the Keurig. I happily found out that I was wrong on this assumption since this cup of coffee packed a nice bold punch!

Verdict: I'm not really sure how much a single K-Cup might cost, but I'm betting you'll end up close to the cost of the box - and that's before you get all of the money back in credit anyway. I love coffee, I'm always excited to get my brew going in the morning, and am happy to try something new - so this kind of hit all of the checkboxes for me!

I am excited to see this option and ordered as soon as I saw your review! I haven’t received my box yet but I did receive the amazon email about the credit. I checked out the options and it seems the only choices are those available through prime pantry. I have never used prime pantry but from what I’m seeing you have to select 5 items in your order in order to receive free shipping. I wasn’t looking to spend much more than the amount of the credit but this doesn’t seem possible with free shipping usually available to Amazon prime members. Does anyone have any experience with this?

I consider anything around 50 cents per cup to be a decent price, so this was a decent deal even before the credit. I got a box of the caribou coffee with the credit, was very impressed with the flavor.

Agreed – I liked Caribou much more than I thought I would.

We love Peet’s too and so I got one of these samplers to try Brooklyn Bean. (Our tastes seem similar; Green Mountain and Donut Shop are too light for us but are great for guests.) Thanks for the great info!

I discovered the Brooklyn Bean Roastery a few months ago on Amazon and it is my absolute favorite K cup brand now! Flavors are awesome, price point is great for the quality. And my box came with a really cute magnet 🙂 I would suggest people get this sampler just to try this brand

Alma de la Tierra just became my husband’s new fave. With the credit I got him a box of 16 for about $3. Thanks for the review, Eric!
