This Boxycharm vs GlossyBox vs BeautyFix series compares my subscriptions every month to give you a good idea what you can expect from these popular beauty subscription boxes. (Boxycharm and GlossyBox are both $21 a month, and BeautyFix is $24.95 a month, so they seemed close enough in cost to compare!)

Important to know: With Glossybox and Boxycharm, there are certain items that all subscribers will receive, but the remainder of items in the box will vary. With BeautyFix, all items are the same for all subscribers. (With the exception of perhaps different colors of a beauty item.)

Verdict: Boxycharm is the winner for me this month! The palette is my favorite item, but really every item in the box is a home run - I've been using everything since I got the box!

What was your favorite box for July? And what was your favorite product?

Here are my general suggestions for which box to pick:

Boxycharm: If you are looking for full-size makeup, this is the box to go for. They consistently send out makeup in addition to haircare and skincare products. (You will quickly build up an impressive eyeshadow collection with this subscription box!)

GlossyBox: This is the best box if you're looking for trying out brands that you typically don't see in the US. You'll get a mix of US and EU brands. The one downside is that values of these boxes can vary depending on which variation you get, so make sure you're happy with the main spoiler items that everyone gets if you're thinking about signing up.

BeautyFix: This is my go-to box for sampling a lot of high-end skincare products. They usually round out the boxes with a few makeup and haircare products, too. You'll get a mix of full-size and sample-size products.

Glossy was the clear winner for me this month although my variation was a bit different.

Bueatyfix was a miss for me. Small samples and no exciting or high value hero item. I’ve not tried all the items yet though… and I’m excited about their August box!

Boxy was kinda dull this month. Nothing exciting, no brands I know. Again, August spoilers so far are all more exciting than anything in july’s box.

I usually like BF the best but July was just ok. I liked the nail polish corrector in GB the best. I don’t care much for makeup but love skincare and hair products so BF is definitely my favorite box.

Liz, how about this for a monthly comparison idea:

Ipsy, Birchbark, Sephora

GlossyBox, Beauty Fix, BoxyCharm

Allure, Macy’s, and another one that falls between $10 and $20

Just thinking those would all be great match ups and closer to dollar values of each box.

Thanks, Liz!!!

My 1st subscription box was this months beautyFix. So many people seem disappointed but it was exactly what I was expecting from this subscription & I was thrilled. With most higher quality skin care a little goes a long way so I feel like I saved myself $$$ just by signing up for this subscription!!! I was in love with the facial scrub sponge I felt like it was amazing!!! Just wish I had heard of this box sooner

I signed up for the glossybox 3 boxes for $30 and I got 2 tropical boxes from the same month. I hope they end me 3 different months boxes. I don’t need 2 of the same.

This was my 1st Of all3 of these boxes. I loved the boxycharm palette. Glossybox was ok but BeautyFix was disappointing with the tiny samples.

I’m looking forward to all 3 next month.

My first month to get all three. I really loved the BoxyCharm, The Glossybox was not too bad. At first I did not care too much for the beauty fix ( I think because the samples were so tiny). The samples in the beauty fix have actually gone a long way. I am going to stay subscribed to all three for now. I do love my Ipsy though!

Got all 3 boxes in July. I m bored with makeup palettes in boxy charm. Yet the value is great. Beauty fix was a miss for me. To many samples. August looks grr at though. Glossy box was the number 1 box this month. Loved the duration. Beautiful box. Unique brands.

Agree Boxycharm was best for July. But I was lucky and got the powder and makeup setting spray. Usually BeautyFix is my favorite, but July was a big miss for me.

This was the first Beauty Fix I didn’t care for at all, but next month looks pretty sweet. Glossybox was a miss for me, too. Maybe it just wasn’t my month. The Boxy eye pallet is gorgeous, but I was bummed to get the sunscreen instead of the powder. Still love getting beauty subs. Every month is a new beginning.

Definitely boxycharm for the win! I wasn’t happy with beautyfiz this month but August seems to be turning out so well. I cancelled glossybox a few month ago but if I didn’t, I would have been happy with this box. Thank you for the review, Liz!
