Contents are listed on the other side of the card. I'm really excited about this month's theme!
Hawaii Bookmark Hilo Moon Koa Earrings - Value $25
Wheeeee these are so cute! I really like wooden jewelry, and although I don't normally rock dangly earrings, these are quite nice.
I like the super simple crescent (or hila phase) moon shape. The wood is koa, which is native to Hawaii. You learn something new every day!
Here is it, dangling from my 'lobe. I like the natural differences in the color of the koa wood.
Kealopiko Moon Phase Project Journal - Value $10.00
This journal is to write down daily observations, coinciding with the moon cycle. Hilo not only speaks to the crescent moon but also means "braid". Int his journal, you will be "braiding a cord of knowledge" with each entry.
The designs on the pages change throughout the journal and are really beautiful!
I'm torn, because although this journal looks really interesting, I know myself and that I will probably do it for a week and lose interest. It'll be much better used if I pass it on to one of my best friend's out in CA who loves lunar calendars and the like.
Kealopiko urges you to participate in a moon phase project that allows people from around the globe to share their observations online. You can check it out by going to www.moonphaseproject.com.
Mamalani Pule Essential Oil Blend - Value $15? (linked to similar)
Wow- I love love love how this smells! It contains a blend of frankincense, myrrh, and Hawaiian sandalwood.
This oil is meant to be used in meditation or prayer, so you can easily roll it on your wrists, or any place that needs the coconut oil and paakai.
Anuenue Summer Krush Tea - Value $?
Their online store isn't up and running yet, but boy am I jealous that I can't go to their cafe! It looks so amazing!
This bag is quite a large portion of loose leaf tea. I like that they have directions on how to brew it both hot and cold.
As soon as I opened the bag I could smell the lovely fragrance of the orange, apple, rosehip, and hibiscus. I can't wait to try it!
Kohana Soap Eclipse Natural Sunblock Lip Balm with Zinc Oxide - Value $4.50
I am swimming in lip balm right now, but I love the slight coconut smell of this one!
Since this contains zinc oxide, it should protect my delicate lippies from the summer sun!
Verdict: I really loved this month's Go Native! box! The oil, lip balm, and tea all smelled amazing and were made naturally. The earrings and moon journal are really cool and I love the design of both. I could find values for everything but the tea. Everything except the tea came to $54.5o which would make the tea worth $15.50 to hit the $70 that Go Native! said this box was worth. That seems pricey, but it is a pretty huge amount of loose leaf tea imported from Hawaii, so I'll go with it. Really stoked on everything here. Go Native! is becoming one of my favorite boxes!
