July's theme is "Goddess on a Road Trip"—perfect for summer! The products are listed out on the front and back of the card, along with ways to use each item.
Prim Botanicals Hair Oil, 0.5 fl oz - Value $11.00 (Buy a full size 2 fl oz bottle for $44.00 on the Prim Botanicals site)
According to the bottle, this hair oil can do it all! Use it as a mask, a heat treatment, a heat protectant, a split end treatment, and even a styling serum to tame flyaways. A little goes a long way, so it's nice that the bottle cap is also a dropper. The scent is the best part. This natural recipe smells like rosemary and tea. It's not overwhelming, either—it's just spa-like enough that I could enjoy breathing in the aroma while it worked its magic on my sun-shocked summer hair.
Spice Foods Dry Roasted Almonds in Argentinian Chimichurri, 4 oz - Value $6.08 (buy a case of 12 for $73)
I've been getting really into spicy almonds and other nuts ever since I tried a friend's chipotle almonds a few weeks ago (yum). This flavor combination is one that's totally new to me, though! Chimichurri is traditionally used on meat, as far as I know. It has an herby flavor to it and a kick of garlic and the distinct flavor of olive oil. It's a totally unique, savory flavor that threw me off at first. But soon enough, I was 5 or 6 almonds in and eager to keep eating my way through this little zip-shut bag!
Calm-A-Mama Happy Drops, 0.5 fl oz - Value $16.99
This product is great if you're corralling a busy family vacation or just trying to kick back and de-stress on your summer getaway. This little bottle contains a mix of rose water, hyssop, lemon balm, and chamomile, which you drop on your tongue and let it work its magic. The potion doesn't smell like anything really, and the flavor is sort of a combination of honey and sweet lemon. The results aren't immediate, nor overwhelming, but the practice of taking a dose of these relaxing extracts and taking a breather can definitely help you reset.
Sacred Wood Essence Palo Santo Stick - Value $5.00?
Sacred Wood Essence Palo Santo Oil, 5 ml - Value $15.00
I've heard of Palo Santo before and even burned it in my home. This sacred material is noted for its cleansing properties, which you can experience by burning the lightweight wood or by using some of this oil blend. The scent is almost like rubber cut with a herbaceous, pepperminty aroma. I like the convenience of the small vial of oil—I can bring it along with me in the car or in my bag—especially because the wood-burned stick is too fun and pretty to burn!
Purple Frog Car Air Freshener in Lemongrass - Value $3.50?
Every so often, I like having a fun air freshener in my car, but I hate the idea that most car scents are filled to the brim with toxins. This air freshener is made from plant-based essential oils, so it's A-OK to hang in my car. The scent is bright and lemongrass-y, though you can "recharge" the air freshener by adding a few drops of your favorite essential oils once its original scent fades. I think the best part of this air freshener is that it has such a cute pastel-colored design, rather than one of those trees! I couldn't find this specific pattern online, so I linked to something similar above.
Goddess Provisions Raise Your Vibration Sticker - Listed Value $6.00
This plastic sticker can be used as a bumper sticker, or you can use it to decorate your laptop, notebook, or whatever you'd like! I like the colorful, ombre design and the brushstroke-like script. It's pretty sizable, too, at about 5.5 inches tall and about 4.5 inches wide.
Black Tourmaline - Listed Value $6.00
This little stone is only about an inch long, so it sits comfortably in the palm of my hand (or in my pocket, or my purse). This stone is said to help the root chakra, encouraging positivity and protecting you against environmental pollutants. I might have to keep this on my dashboard during traffic!
Verdict: I liked this month's Goddess Provisions box! There was approximately $70.00 of product inside, which is great for a $33 box. I think the sticker was the one item that I could've done without (and which I feel might be overvalued on the info card), but all in all, everything was both useful and delightfully high quality. I can see how everything fits the vacation and travel vibe, too. What a great box of surprises!
