Gilli Teal V-Neck Dress
This is my first experience with Golden Tote, so I wasn't sure what to expect as far as types of clothing, brands, and quality. I was intrigued to see so much brightness in this tote - something I don't typically gravitate towards with my clothing but still enjoy.
The first of two dresses is a beautiful light teal polyester knit that fits incredible! There's 70's inspiration to the bodice and sleeves and I like how the knit is soft with a slightly faded look. I prefer to wear knee-length or longer dresses, so this dress hits spot-on.
The plunging v-neck is more drastic than I typically wear, but since the dress is so nicely fitted, I feel secure.
I can't get over how much I like this dress! I can wear it casually, as seen here with ruffled sandals and this month's Golden Tote tote. But I can easily dress up with a heel and bold jewelry.
Mo:Vint Yellow Palm Printed Dress
The second dress in my Mystery Tote is another surprising win! Made of a nylon/linen blend, the fabric appears and wrinkles as easily as traditional linen. I'm not one to typically wear a palm leaf print, but there's something about the fabric and color of yellow that works. This sleeveless dress is perfect for right now and it fits true to size, with a slight sack/oversized look.
The neckline, sleeve holes, hem and front/back seaming have a raw finish, which has creates a cool fray. There's an additional top stitch along the fray, so I don't have to worry about the edges unraveling more. I personally love this look!
There's a slight high-low hemline that is pretty unnoticeable while on. Even so, I'm glad to see the front hem is still in my knee-length comfort zone.
Finally, in the back, there are the cutest four buttons that act as the dress' closure. (I accidentally missed buttoning the bottom button which is why it's not shown here.)
THML Embroidered Top
The final piece of apparel is this adorable embroidered top. And similar to the teal dress, there's a 70's boho inspiration that I'm normally drawn to. And this top doesn't disappoint! It's made of a durable but slightly silky rayon/polyester blend, in the most delightful salmon color. Even the simple cap sleeve adds to the vintage flair of this piece.
The embroidery across the front yoke is a blend of yellows, greens, and blues/purples and the embroidery quality is exceptional. This top is the real deal!
It even leaves you with a little something on the back. 🙂
Pannee Beaded and Woven Bracelet
The jewelry piece this month is a woven cuff finished with opulent beads. It's not really my personal style, but it fits really well on my smaller wrists and doesn't clank as I type at my laptop. It's a pretty piece and easy for gifting!
As a bonus, I received a cucumber sheet mask. I'm super picky about masks I use on my face, so I will likely pass this along to a sheet mask-loving friend.
Verdict: I am super impressed by my first Golden Tote Mystery Tote. The only thing they knew about me upon sign-up was my size, but yet, I received three pieces of apparel I'm thrilled to add to my summer wardrobe! The quality of each garment is awesome and the $69 cost of this Mystery Tote feels like a steal. I'm definitely looking forward to future Golden Totes!
