Ipsy’s theme for this month is ‘Over Easy’. Loni, the editorial director of Ipsy, explained in their app that she has been a workaholic lately and she thought that everyone should slow down and take care of themselves more. I couldn’t agree more with that!
I know that not everyone will like this character bag, especially when that character is a lazy egg, but I love it! I find this mascot weirdly cute (or kimo-kawaii - in Japanese). Plus, how adorable that the zipper has a word ‘meh...’ on it and shaped like a speech bubble!
Now, onto the items!
Ciate London - Wonderwand Gel-Kohl Hybrid Liner in Black - 2.8 oz. Value $10
This eyeliner is double ended, with a pencil liner on one side and a blending brush on the other, so that you can create both sharp or smudge looks. This creamy and pigmented liner doesn’t dry down instantly, so it’ll give you some time to work with, however, once it dries down, it won’t smudge at all. I had it on for about 6 hours today and it was on point until I removed it.

Seraphine Botanicals - Lychee + Gold FULL SIZE! Value $14
Another full sized item? Yes, please! Seraphine Botanicals is a new brand for me, but I think the color of this blush is GORGEOUS! This blush is made with 99% natural ingredients, Vegan, Gluten-free, Cruelty-free, and formulated without mineral oil, Parabens, or Phthalates. I love that their box is printed with soy ink, too!
This blush is a combination of peach pigment and gold shimmer, aka - perfection. The shimmer is fine and looks natural when applied on skin, and it lasts a long time, too. It’s definitely my favorite item from this month’s Ipsy bag.

Winky Lux - Double Matte Whip in Angel Food, 1.8 ml Value $6
This whipped liquid lipstick is Cruelty-free, Paraben-free, and Gluten-free, plus it’s enriched with avocado oil and vanilla. Even though it dried down matte, my lips didn’t feel dry at all. The lasting power is also impressive, pretty much 6+ hours even after dinner. Did I mention that it also smells soooo good?

OFRA Cosmetics - Eyeshadow in Gold Rush, 2g Value $7.50
Although this eyeshadow is only about half the size of OFRA’s full-size ones, it’s still as big as normal Colourpop and Makeupgeek eyeshadows. The pigment is intense, and I love this warm golden brown shade! It went on well even without primer and lasted a long time on my oily lid. Nothing to complain about!
Here are the swatches of Ciate eyeliner (swiped and smudged), OFRA eyeshadow, Seraphine Botanicals blush, and Winky Lux liquid lipstick in Angel food.
Hempz - Ultra Moisturizing Herbal Lip Balm FULL SIZE! Value $9
Yay for another full-sized item in my glam bag! This balm is a blend of hemp seed oil, shea butter, and avocado oil. It has a light minty-citrus scent. The product worked well and didn’t leave my lips feeling sticky afterward, but there’s nothing really special about it.
Here is the look I completed using everything from my July Ipsy bag. I can only show you half of my face because I have a stye on my other eye at the moment and I didn’t want to put anything on it. That eyeshadow is pigmented though!
Verdict: This box has a value of about $47, which is on the higher side of Ipsy! I received 3 full-size products in this bag, and I love that I can create a full-face makeup look out of these items! Every shade I received worked with my skintone and they all go well together, too. Great job, Ipsy!
What do you think of the July Ipsy Glam Bag? What items did you get in your bag?
