JustFab is a monthly clothing, shoes and accessories subscription. You can shop their merchandise like normal retail, but they have a VIP subscription that gives you better prices on everything in their store. On the first of every month, they release new styles and you can pick any item you want – either from your personal ‘Boutique’ or across the site. You can also skip the month. However, if you don’t pick or skip by the 5th of each month, you get charged $39.95 store credit to spend any time.
This model is similar to how ShoeDazzle, Fabletics and AdoreMe work.

Peplum Shirt in Olive - VIP Price: $32.95 (retail price $47.95)
If a top or dress has a peplum waist, I'm almost guaranteed to try it on and/or buy it. So when I found fewer other options on JustFab this month, I decided to give this top a try. I tend to look forward to Fall even during the summer months and thought this would be a good option! The last few tops I've purchased from JustFab and ShoeDazzle have run large, so I opted to size down. For reference, I normally wear a size small/4 for tops, but this is an XS. If olive isn't your color, this top is also available in denim. Both options are offered in sizes XS-XXL, although the denim is also offered in 1X-3X.
As you can see, it's not at all fitted, despite being a smaller size on me. It's a relaxed and roomy fit, but a tad too large for my liking. However, the shade of olive is awesome and not like anything else I have in my closet right now.
The peplum hits about three inches below my natural waist, so it almost feels more like a drop-waist, also due to the relaxed fit. I like the subtle ruffle!
For a night out, I am definitely planning to wear this Oxford button-down-esque top with leggings since the hem is asymmetrical and there's plenty of coverage in the back. It's not quite a tunic length, but the oversized fit is begging to be worn with a slim pant.
For a casual look, I decided to unbutton and open the top, roll up the sleeves, and layer over a graphic tee and skinny denim. The top instantly transforms into a lightweight jacket, especially since the chambray fabric is a thick cotton/rayon.
Verdict: Each month, I am excited to see the new arrivals from JustFab! This month turned out to be just OK. I love the color and peplum detail, but I'll likely wear this top more casually due to the larger fit. For $37.90 ($32.95 + $4.95 shipping since I didn't hit the $39.95 threshold for free shipping), I received a transitional Fall top that retails for $47.95. Compared to other clothing boxes like Stitch Fix and Trunk Club, I am finding that despite the higher upfront out-of-pocket expense, I prefer to choose my items each month and find there's less risk with this subscription model.
