Marc Jacobs Beauty Mystery Kit – Available Now + Coupon!

I got the black bag and got the same products as Alyssa, but my lipstick came broken. I contacted customer service but they wont replace it since it was in the mystery bag 🙁 :(.

I was able to purchase gray and black (white was sold out). I received both in one box, so I am guessing, based on other posts, which is which:

I was hoping for some mascara, since I use the noir mascara daily. I recently purchased the Parisienne palette, so I’ll gift the extra to someone. I had the Lolita palette when the beauty line first launched and used the whole thing, so it’s nice to get a new one.

I don’t usually wear lip glosses, but it will be fun to try these out.

Ok, I was all jealous of what you guys got in the grey option, until I received my white one a few minutes ago. Granted, the grey seems like it might work for a wider variety of people and occasions, but it’s perfect for my coloring. I got a Style Eye-Con No. 7. I can’t find an actual name for it on the packaging nudes, with a pale shimmery pink and some purples. Then there is an Enamored Lip Lacquer in Whip It (a bold shimmery fuschia), and a highliner in Obey-ge (a pale pink-ish, white-ish color). Regarding value it would cost $49 for the eyeshadow, $25 for the eyeliner, and $28 for the lipgloss for a grand total of $102. The grey bag would have had the same value. I’m curious to see if the black bag holds different items to warrant the “each kit has up to a $117 value” they advertised. $102 for $49 isn’t anything to sneeze at, so there was no need to inflate the value by $15. I love the eyeshadow alone, which is worth the cost of the box. I also like the other two items, so totally worthwhile.

Got my box today (I live really close to the shipping center). I chose the grey (middle) bag…Highliner in (Stone)Fox, Enamored lipgloss in Boom and Style Eye-Con No. 7. Beautiful stuff!!

Yeah, i dropped out when I read “nails, lips, lids, or lashes” because that means no bronzers, foundations or blushes! If it were face products, I would definitely be okay with paying $49 for face products, but definitely not for this. I don’t need new lipsticks, mascaras, or nailpolishes- none of us in the sub box-buying industry do. 🙂

This is too risky for me, my coloring is too unusual, I think, being a redhead. Have fun, girls!

Wasn’t it $39 last year?

Marc Jacobs makes some gorgeous polish, however, it’s the only polish I’ve used in the 30+ years I’ve been polishing my nails that chips immediately. And I mean immediately – within minutes. It doesn’t matter what kind of base coat or top coat I use (or don’t use) or how long I let it dry, it chips like crazy doing even the slightest of activities (like typing, loading the dishwasher, or washing my hands, etc.).

Who is guilty of buying 3 $50 makeup mystery bags? This woman. I hope I don’t get 3 black mascaras. I got the free highliner. Thanks to whoever posted the code.

Would love this deal if they gave me a little something more to go on. Give me a hint here like with skin tone: warm, cool, or neutral? Or something mood based: girly, dramatic, natural. I don’t know. Being very fair skinned with cool undertones, I’m worried I’ll get something awful with a lot of orange or bronze (shudders), or something way too dark for my skin tone.

nails, lips, lids, or lashes? Hmm. No. If there is some face products, I may buy it.

Ok, the colors are light gray, gray, and black – what that mean? Should I just flip the coin to choose one?
