ModCloth Stylish Surprise – Available Now + COUPON!

I got mine yesterday and I was very pleased. In total I ordered 8 items – 3 dresses and 5 apparels. One of the dress, I think, it is a wedding dress, but I will wear it on xmas party, it is very beautiful. I got two coats, I do not really need two coats in CA, but one was bright red and so trendy. Second was ok, but I will wear it. I got wool sweater, short sleeve top and white croshet light sweater/top. Very very pleased.

I did 4 dresses and 4 apparel. I usually wear a 3xl but I got 2xl this time and everything was still big. AND! I got 2 wedding dresses. Hahahaaa. And one dress that looks just like a bridesmaid dress. I was really laughing over the wedding dresses.

Everything was a bust. The other dress is okay. It’s black and perfect for a funeral. I got a thick acrylic grey sweater/cardigan, and a soft tank top with an anchor on it. The anchor tank is the only item I won’t swap or sell.

Although, if I do finally get married (I’ve been engaged forever) I have a dress for the ceremony and for the reception that just need alterations.

I would still do stylish surprise again though.

So received my apparel order in xs and It was a size large vest. Received my replacement apparel order today and it is the “respectfully retro midi dress”. Luckily they still have xs apparel left in stock, so hopefully third time is a charm, fingers crossed.

I am so annoyed with ModCloth. This was my first order, and I ordered 3 pair of shoes and added some dress and apparel just because. Mine main motivation for this order was shoes, well ModCloth send me everything except shoes, none of them. They sent me e-mail saying how they sorry that they do not have shoe inventory and offered me sorry 10% of next order. So upset.

I live in the Southwest so won’t get my box for a couple more days but I ordered 2 pairs of shoes size 8.5, box weight 5.10 pounds REALLY hoping this means no jelly flip flops and at least a pair of boots.. This is my first time fingers crossed.

I actually snagged some apartment items for the first time and got a fern poster and this rug in a different pattern.

another one that I really like and two others that look awful on me. I’m really happy with my haul though!

Received my items. I got 2 tops that I love and fit well (a pretty floral tank – not a basic tank, and a polka dot cardigan). I got a dress that wasn’t figure flattering (not ModCloth’s fault of course) and 2 tent like tops that are not flatter figuring and 1 looks (and feels) like the 70s in a not good way and the other looks like a long sleeve T-shirt that you’d find for $5 – doesn’t look like Modcloth at all. I also noticed that only one if my items had tags on them. I’m guessing they were all returns but didn’t have the tags anymore. Weird, first time I received tagless items from ModCloth (I’m a regular customer and this is my 3rd Stylish surprise)

I got 3 shoes. Pleasantly surprised that I like all of them. Problem. 2 are the wrong size. One is one size too big. The other two sizes too small. They weren’t mislabeled. They say the other sizes on the outside of the box. So, definitely ModCloth’s fault.

I chatted with a rep. They will refund my original method of payment and they are sending me a return label to send back the shoes.

I don’t know if I’ll do another Stylish Surprise. I really like the 2tops and pair of shoes I received but am otherwise turned off by this (and previous) experience(s).

I would have preferred for ModCloth to offer me 2 shoes in my size with return if the wrong size shoes. I figured when they only offered the option of store credit or refund that this wasn’t an option. I should have mentioned it but I think the moment has passed. On another day I might have pressed but I was waiting forever on chat for the rep’s responses and I have a lot of stuff to get done today and just want to wash my hands of this.

Thanks for the heads up on this! I just had to give it a try. I ordered two apparel surprises and a pair of shoes, and the box weighs 7.2 pounds. Can’t wait to see what is in there!

Took a chance and ordered an apparel item for the first time. Really was hoping I didn’t get just a crappy t-shirt like some people have in reviews, but on my shipment notification, the weight is only 0.8lbs so I’m pretty sure that’s what I’ll get. Which stinks for the $17.99 I paid with shipping. I wouldn’t pay that for a t-shirt normally. But fingers crossed, I’ll be pleasantly surprised! And if not, I’ll be cured of this addiction before I even start. Lol.

I can’t believe I got my order already in the mail!! Very happy. I got some really nice items in size M. And cute shoes too!! YES!!

I’m so addicted to these! I got *head down in shame* 8 dresses and 1 shoe surprise. I’m picky with shirts (especially with length) so I didn’t get an apparel one. (Even though I thought about it on the off chance I could get a coat, haha).

I’ve NEVER been disappointed with the dresses surprises! (hence, me getting 8). But this is the FIRST time I’ve been able to get a shoe surprise in my size! So that’s exciting!

I was surprised to see that mine actually shipped this morning! And this time, it’s being sent Fedex Home Delivery! All the other times it was Fedex Smart Post which takes FOREVER. But this one looks like it’ll be here WEDNESDAY! WHUU? That’s crazy awesome!

I’m curious to see if it all comes in one box or if (hopefully) they rubberband 2 together. (I actually thought about splitting my order up because I didn’t want them to choose thinner fabric dresses in order to squeeze them all together to fit in one box. See, I have always received my orders in the same size box and I really don’t think they could fit 8 size 4X dresses AND a pair of size 10 shoes with a shoebox in the size box that I’ve always received.)

I’ll update this when I find out in case anyone is curious. (Not long now! So excited!)

4 dresses and 2 apparel later… and in 1 size smaller than I wear. I don’t mind this risk. I can swap or sell. But I really hope I can wear everything!!!

Well, I’m giving it a try. I haven’t gotten any dresses in a while so I went for 4 dresses and 3 shoes for 83. The coupon was a nice perk. Basically a free dress and shoes. Well that’s how I’m gonna think about it anyway! LOL

I want to join in on this ferver but everyone has posted about only getting bad clothing. Had anyone ever received anything good from the dress or apparel categories?

I couldn’t justify myself spending $70 on shoes and since that’s the only one I ever get I had to justify elsewhere. So the new member 20% off my order helped. Got 5 pairs for $40 before tax and shipping. Good enough for me! I don’t know where I would put ten pairs of shoes anyway….I just inherited all my grandmothers pumps and she has better taste than me anyway

I wasn’t real thrilled with my sendings last time, but I caved since they still had shoes in my size left and last time I missed out. I know it’s wishful thinking, but hope they’re not all dupes. Easy pass for me this time. I’ve spent probably 200 + trying this over various times and in general have had super crappy luck. Even the accessories I got last time were terrible and nothing I would ever wear. It’s too bad because I really like the surprise aspect. Good luck to everyone. I hope your luck is better than mine.

🙂 these are the times loving on the west coast can be a disadvantage, I wake up at 530 pst and Apartment and Jewelry were already sold out. I was happy to get shoes though.

This will be my third time trying the surprise, I’ve had terrible luck. My first one was 2 dresses I’d never be able to fit into that were easily teenager sized even though I ordered small. My second time I tried just appeal and I ended up with 2 really cheap looking items that were poorly made. One was a stretched out intentionally dirty long sleeve t-shirt and the other was a sweeter that was very baggy and loose in the body but had extremly tight arms. They didn’t look like anything they would carry. But that order I got to pairs of shoes and they were very cute, so hopefully that keeps going.

Point being I’ve seen people get some awesome things from this sale, I’ve just had terrible luck, so good luck every one! 🙂
