To help you get the most out of the items in this box, there is a little envelope of information to read and meditate on.
This card lists eight ways to engage with the items in the box in order to honor this astrological period, plus reminders to reuse or recycle the box and to connect to the Moon Box community.
There's also a card with rounded edges and a beautiful, colorful image of the moon on it. I'm assuming this is the Moon Oracle Card mentioned in the experience card.
The back of the card explains the "thunder moon" period that occurs in July. I've never heard of a Thunder Moon before now, so this was interesting to read about. The key themes of this month seem to be self-acceptance, letting go of what no longer serves me, and turning my attention towards things that help me grow and evolve.
Finally, there's a tiny card that explains the significance of the crystals in the box. We'll get to them in a second.
Leo New Moon Journal by Spirit Daughter - Value $8.00
So, apart from the fact that this box is generally awesome, it also focuses on the Leo astrological sign, which is my sign! My birthday isn't until August, but I'm thrilled to start celebrating Leo's moment. This little booklet has everything I need to embrace Leo, including crystal recommendations, meditations, key dates, and questions that get me thinking about how I bring Leo's qualities (courage, enthusiasm, playfulness) into my life. The book is big enough to fit comfortably into a purse so that I can take its magic with me.
Gaia Collective Botanical Tea Blend - Value $5.00?
I love the cardboard packaging of this loose-leaf tea blend! It comes in a little tube that's about 4 inches tall. The tea includes a blend of chamomile, mugwort, hyssop, red root, fennel, and eleuthero root. The chamomile is the strongest flavor in the mix, but there's a surprising amount of vanilla-ish flavor, too. I'm not sure where it comes from, but I like it a lot! This is an exclusive from the box, so I just guessed at the value.
Frequency Positivity Soap - Value $6.99
This citrusy soap smells amazing. It has lemongrass in it, which keeps the sweetness of the citrus fresh and light. There are jasper stones floating within it, too, which apparently help elevate the spirit. The golden hue is a great nod to the fiery, luminous spirit of Leo.
Crystals (Tangerine Quartz, Tumbled Agate Geode, Pyrite Cluster) - Value $10.00?
I'm just guessing at the price of these tiny stones, but they seem like they're all nice quality. Each stone is about an inch or two long, so each one is comfortable to hold in the palm of my hand. (I could securely hold all three if I wanted!) I love the suite of powers these stones offer—together, they help spark passion, maintain authenticity and groundedness, and encourage creative collaborations (which is what I'm most excited about!).
Gaia Collective Cottage Traditions Essential Oil Blend - Value $25.00?
I'm not finding this item online, so I linked to a similar item in the Gaia Collective site shop. This rollerball contains a blend of neroli, lemon balm, wild orange, grapefruit, Bulgarian rose, white sage, and Dalmatian sage. It's most notably citrusy, but the rose and grapefruit scents give this potion a crisp, floral complexity that I really like. The scent seems refreshing, but somewhat earthy and grounding at the same time (it's not super dreamy). I might try to pop this on my temples and wrists first thing in the morning and see how it influences my workday.
Verdict: I love this box! I'm getting increasingly curious about astrology and crystals, and this box seems like the perfect entry point for an amateur like me. I think my favorite item is actually the Leo booklet, since it shows me what to think about and focus on to celebrate this period in the cosmos. And best of all, for $31.50 ($29.50 + $2 shipping), I got about $55.00 of amazing (and beautifully packaged) products!
