NatureBox Free Trial Box Review – June 2017

NatureBox has updated their subscription model. NatureBox is now a members-only snack buying service, and the membership cost is $5 a month. That $5 will be credited towards your first snack purchase every month. You can cancel your membership at any time. You may buy as many snacks as you like each month; the $5 is simply for access to purchase the snacks. If you do not use the $5 in during the month, it will roll over to the new month.

If you were on a recurring subscription plan, those deliveries will continue (it also grants you a free membership to the new Club) so you can buy additional snacks. NatureBox is no longer open to new subscriptions, though, only to the new NatureBox Club membership.

Want to try out the service? For a limited time, you can sign up for this free trial box to see what you think!

This is a review of the “Free Box” trial, retail value of $18.99.

Whole Wheat Vanilla Animal Cookies, 5 oz - Value $2.49 (Buy a 2 pack for $4.99)

These were definitely my favorite item from this box! These cookies were light, vanilla-flavored, and crunchy. These may or may not be for children, but either way, they are quite tasty. I would eat these in the morning with my coffee or for an afternoon pick-me-up.

Mini Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Cookies, 3.5 oz - Value $2.99 (Buy a 2 pack for $5.99)

Normally, I go for chocolate chip cookies, but these had a little bit of an odd taste. They almost tasted slightly fruity to me, but not in a good way. They were crunchy and light—a great alternative to a donut or candy bar, but the flavor wasn’t great for me.

Salt & Vinegar Veggie Chips, 4 oz - Value $3.25 (Buy a 2 pack for $6.49)

Anything that is salt and vinegar-flavored isn’t going to taste like anything except salt and vinegar. I don’t know if there is a stronger flavor out there! The actual chips consist of plantains, cassava, tannia, and purple sweet potatoes. You could taste a slight amount of sweetness from the chips, but mostly just that salt and vinegar. Good thing I like that particular flavor!

Sour Cream and Onions Straws, 3 oz - Value $2.49 (Buy a 2 pack for $4.99)

This would have to be my second favorite item in this box... or maybe it’s my favorite savory item in the box. The flavor was actually pretty mild. I was expecting something more like Funyuns, but these weren’t quite as strong. I have had veggie straws before so I already new I would like them!

The Verdict: Because this is a “free trial” box, snacks included in the box may vary depending on availability. Also, hurry because this is a limited-time offer! The snacks in this box were delicious I definitely think you should try it. The value of this box is $8.75 while the retail value for this box is $18.99. Since this is the free trial, you really can’t get a much better value. Delicious and amazing!

Thank you Chelsey, great review. I have just received my 1st box, waited for great Offer and was reading reviews. Which all reviews are good.
This is a great offer! I also grabbed a few other items on sale too.
I got the same Items as you, but got the chocolate animal cookies and do not like them.
I loved the other items, choc chip cookies, vinegar chips and sour cream and onion straws. The harvest nut mix is yummy. Nice crunch.
I also got the oatmeal and have tried the blueberry, apple, nut 1 and quite pleased. Nice portion size and I like that you just add water to packing cup, cover and come back and eat. No mess, no fuss, toss it after. I will order more when I get close to travel.
A few things are being sent separately… blueberry dusted almonds, nutty power clusters but I believe I will be happy. The blueberry almonds were sold out for a few days. 1 size popped up available, so I snagged it quickly and checked out. With every size being sold out often, they have to be good! Blueberry is my favorite so idk if there were other dusted flavors, sorry.

6.50 for an 8oz bag of chips is steep, Wow! Not sure what makes this so special compared to regular terra chips or other options for half that in the grocery store.

I love Nature Box! I’m usually not into whole wheat because it tastes heavy and grainy (kind of the idea of whole grains!) but I love their animal cookies. Besides, how cute are the spirals for wool on the sheep?! I tend to get the same snacks a lot, stuff that I can’t find anywhere else, like Apple Cinnamon Crave (aptly named!) and Peanut Butter Graham Jam, which they might not offer in the summer anymore because the peanut butter would melt in transit. My husband loves their savory snacks.
