This is a no-frills subscription. You'll be getting the amount of POPs of your choice in a plain brown box. But, with any subscription, you'll have a chance to pull a 6 inch POP or POP Ride - I think I've received an oversized POP at least twice with my subscription.
Here's a quick run-down of creating your PIAB account:
The first thing you'll want to do is set up your collection. This is an important step to ensure that you don't receive a duplicate POP or a POP that you may not care about.
You can cycle through POPs and selection options for each one. Mark 'Add to my Collection' for POPs you have and avoid duplicates. Give POPs a thumbs down to let PIAB know that you don't want it, and mark it as thumbs up to let them know that you're really interested in that specific POP.
There are a TON of POPs to go through. I haven't even gone through all of them, but in the end, you'll have built your own collection! This will help you keep track of what you have, and it will help PIAB know what to send.
They also no offer subscription options for Marvel, DC, Disney, Dorbz, and Rock Candy - find out all the details here!
Jessica Jones
I love the Netflix Marvel shows (even if I was 'eh' on Iron Fist), and Jessica Jones was one of the best seasons!
I love the mold for Jessica - with the fingerless gloves and all - she looks awesome.
Elektra
Staying on the Netflix Marvel shows - season 2 of Daredevil was probably my favorite, really because I'm a huge Punisher fan, but Elektra was a great addition to the season as well.
I just need The Punisher to finish this short line! How don't I have Punisher yet!?
Mr. Freeze
Things are ver Mr. Freeze centric for me in the past few days - watching Batman & Robin (ooooooooof!) and receiving The Animated Series Mr. Freeze POP yesterday - it makes sense that'd I'd receive another iteration of Victor!
Outside of the helmet - Mr. Freeze has been pretty consistent through the years.
King Tut
Sticking with the classic Batman TV show - I also received King Tut.
I think the King Tut POP is the coolest sculpt in this series - I was very excited to see him in the box.
Bojack Horseman
Bojack is coming back in September for new episodes! This POP nicely captures Bojack, flask and all.
I thought this POP line was really well done - it syncs up nicely with the artistic style of the show itself.
Bad Ape
My last POP is from the upcoming movie War for the Planet of the Apes - which is getting fantastic opening reviews! Plus, this video of Andy Serkis transforming into Caesar is just awesome:
Very excited!
Anyways...
This is 'Bad Ape', which I'm sure I'll understand much more once I see the movie! Again, it's a very short line of POPs, so it'll be easy to finish!
Verdict: My POPs this month were only pulled from ones that I had marked with a 'thumbs up' - this has worked pretty well for me. You'll have to thumbs up a lot of POPs though if they don't have any in stock of your selections - they'll fall back to POPs that you have marked 'thumbs up' or 'thumbs down' to. Again, this subscription is really only for the bulk collector looking to round out collections - or the beginner looking to start up their collection!
