Wantable is a fitness styling subscription service similar to Stitch Fix. You fill out an in-depth survey about your fitness clothing preferences, and your stylist picks out items for you. Wantable offers several types of "Edits" and "Collections" for you to choose from. With "Edits" (choose Fitness or Style), a stylist will curate pieces that you can choose to buy at a discount or return at no additional cost (just the $20 monthly styling fee). For "Collections" (choose Makeup or Intimates), you'll pay $40 (Makeup) or $50 (Intimates) per month to receive items you can keep at no additional cost.

I'll be reviewing the Intimates Collection today, which is $50.00 per month (+ free U.S. shipping).

Wantable sent me this box for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

The Products: 3 intimate apparel items (underwear, lingerie, loungewear, pajamas, etc.) curated to fit the preferences you set when you sign up.

Ships to: Ships free to the U.S. (Currently ships to the U.S. only.)

When you sign up for this subscription, you take the Wantable style profile "quiz." The quiz covers everything from size to preferred cut, colors, and styles, and most of the questions let you articulate whether you "Love," "Like," or "Dislike" something, rather than giving a hard yes or no. That's great for me since I'm pretty open-minded about the intimates I buy—I don't outright dislike a lot of things, but I can say that there are certain go-to styles or colors I just love to wear. This quiz let me articulate that, which makes me think the pieces I get will be a more accurate match for my style.

Since this is a "Collection" subscription, there's no real need for me to worry about the cost of each item (in the Fitness "Edit" I reviewed, I had to decide whether I wanted to keep—and be charged for—what I got in the box, so having the values listed was a little more pressing). But I always like to see what products I'm getting retail for. One, because it helps me understand whether the $50 box is really worth it, and two, because then I can show you all!

Oh, and just FYI before we get started: I set my preferences as to size M for tops and size L for bottoms. I'm usually a 36B, a size 6 or 8 in dresses, and a size 10(ish) in jeans and pants.

Contrast Scallop Lace Nylon Microfiber T-Shirt Bra Black 36B by Daisy Fuentes - Value $16.63 (Retail price $30.00)

I love me a black bra. Especially in summer, when things get strappier and blousier and more sheer, I always find myself reaching for a simple, solid, black bra, which won't look awkward or too overt if it peeks out from under a tank or tshirt dress. This bra has soft, light padding wrapped in smooth, cool, microfiber. It has a nice plunge to it, which is good for the V-neck tees and dresses I find myself wearing a lot, and the straps are simple and slender. The part I like most, though, is the fact that the band is made of a pale lilac mesh topped with black lace. It's breezy to wear, but it also looks super cute and sophisticated. I'm not quite into the underwear-as-outerwear trend (yet), but I do wear plenty of relaxed dresses and tanks this time of year (the kind with big breezy arm holes or low, open backs). I feel like this bra would feel like it was part of the outfit, rather than something frumpy or flashy that I didn't expect anyone to see.

Sheer Fusion Hipster Black by Sophie B, Size Large - Value $8.87 (Retail price $16.00)

These super-stretchy hipster undies are right up my alley. They're made from a nylon/Spandex blend that doesn't breathe as much as I'd like it to, but I'm so into the form of this pair that I'm willing to forgive my qualms with the function. They're super comfortable to wear, stretching without feeling like they're stretching out. And when they stretch, the "sheer" part of their name comes out. It's hard to see in the photos, but these undies have a thin vertical stripe pattern (alternating opaque and sheer) that looks so cool (and even a little sexy in a modern, minimalist way) when it's set against your skin. I'm not above wearing these with the black bra that came in the box (again, give me all the black underwear I can get), but I wouldn't say they're a perfect set. The lace on the bra is more romantic, where this pattern is more cool. I sort of wish they did coordinate a bit better, but that's a small concern.

Heather/Black Chemise in Size M by Fleur't - Value $20.51 (Retail value $37.00)

I'm someone who usually falls asleep in a big t-shirt and some stretchy shorts, so this chemise is perfect for me. It's made of a comfy heather-gray knit with just enough lace details to feel special and pretty. I'm not the biggest fan of the tiny triangle of lace along the neckline—I mean, I get it, but my love of crisp, minimal style makes me wish the lace was just along the racerback shoulders and not trying to look flirty as well as cool. That's an extremely small, extremely picky, extremely me concern, so don't think I'm going to scrap it because of that little detail! I'm actually looking at this comfy, flattering piece (it's got a trapeze shape that floats over me in a nice way) and wondering if I can get away with wearing it during the day, too! (It'd look really cute over some denim shorts, I think!)

Verdict: I was really happy with this month's Wantable Intimates picks! What can I say, I love black clothes and black underwear in particular. So this box was a real hit. I love how versatile and comfortable the items are—I can see us having a long life together. Are they the highest quality pieces? Not really. But they're probably comparable to what I would nab at Target or something like that. I do think the Wantable prices for everything were more than fair (they end up being worth about $46.00 total, which is even with the cost of the box after the $4.00 discount I got for keeping all of last month's items), though the retail value of the box being $83.00 seems super high. You can always return things for a refund on individual items if you don't like them (you'll already have been charged the $50.00 for the products, unlike with the Edits, where you're charged later for what you end up keeping), but I think I'm going to hold on to all of these items. I'm so pleased with this box!

What do you think of what I got in my Wantable Intimates box? What did you get in your box?

I agree with every single assessment you made about these pieces. Worth keeping, but I too don’t like the black lace triangle at the neckline. I like exactly the things you like about each piece though. This sub will be my next one.

I subbed to this box a few years ago (2012, I believe), and the sizing never worked out for me. The tanks were too big, the panties too small. Hassle factor. However, they may have come a long way since then. I do see the price has gone up, too! I thought it was quite a bit back then, but I guess I’m not that into pampering with intimates as much as I am beauty boxes – lol.

Has anyone tried their workout clothes and have any thoughts to share on it? I am curious about their quality.
