Announcing the Best Subscription Boxes of 2017!

If you've been reading My Subscription Addiction regularly, you know that we love to ask for your feedback. At the very beginning of this year, we surveyed our readers for their top subscription box picks across a number of different categories... and those results are now final!

Check out the complete list of winners to learn which boxes ranked for Best Beauty Box, Best Women's Lifestyle Box, and 17 more categories!

If you didn't get to participate this time, don't worry: we're doing it again for 2018! To make the process a little easier and make sure we get as much feedback as possible, we’ll be taking nominations in the fall of 2017, then advance to final voting in January 2018. Stay tuned!

Thanks again for being an MSA reader!

Wow I am shocked that rob vice box didn’t make it, sugarbash, breo, and boxycharm. FFF and popsugar used to be great along with cheaper ones like ipsy and Play by Sephora but now I feel like it’s Just fill stuff and little samples I can get at the store. I guess I want get the highest value out of my boxes or I might as well go shopping for what I want.

Bespoke Post is a hard one to categorize, but it’s the only one that will have to be pried from my cold, dead hands.

I’d have liked this to represent all the categories that MSA covers, e.g. Arts & Crafts.

You didnt list results for best beauty box….that’s the only one I wanted to see.

I’m surprised Boxycharm is not there somehow.

Right?! It seems to be everyone’s favorite. I just signed up and can’t wait to get my first box.

I missed seeing a few of my faves not included on the list like Boxycharm and Julep. You nailed the others very well. Along with POPSUGAR, Rachel Zoe BOS, and FFF those are the 5 I’ll likely always keep and just skip any monthly or quarterly box if I need a break (Julep). Not counting Limit Edition boxes or a random box here and there I only spend about an average of $120/mo on those 5 boxes (although I always try to find a good deal/promo so I can buy a year in advance). My “fun money/personal” limit is $200/mo so the excess usually covers the 7 or so LE boxes I get per year. So maybe $2400/yr on just boxes which is about 2.7% of my yearly salary. I’m trying to validate myself. 🤑

I was so hoping there would be a best bead box. I have been looking for a gift for my adult daughter and there are too many choices.

Personally, I just don’t get the Popsugar hype. Never even seen one box that I wanted.

I’m with you. I’m not a Popsugar fan either. I tried one box and cancelled, kept watching and never resubbed. I don’t get it either.

some of these are super suprising. I am suprised sephora scored higher over all than ipsy, but sephora won the beauty box.

I am going to check out the adidas one now!

Elevita is so much better than GlobeIn. It’s only $30 a month and the items are all lovely.

Disappointed that BeautyFix and Boxycharm is not on the list. For me, they are the best

Oooooo new to this! Heard great things about Boxycharm, what type of products do you get? Never heard of BeautyFix!!! Wow! Must check it out! Although, I am new to this and haven’t heard of most. What is BeautyFix like?

Beautyluv88

I agree! Beauty fix is my fave!

Svetlana,

If you click on the box for best beauty box, Boxycharm was third and Beautyfix was fourth place. They just weren’t number one in that category. I like Play and Beautyfix best but also enjoy Allure.

I love Allure Beauty Box,not sure as to why it wasn’t highly ranked.

Veronica

I’m inline with your likes
With beautyfix and play. I agree with the Ave A by Adidas also. I’m not too sure about the FFF and pop sugar, they really never grabbed me.

Svetlana7e

Lynn, thank you, I did not realize that there are full list for each category 🙂

Donna

Am I the only one confused by how Ipsy won the 3rd best overall box but Sephora Play won the best beauty box? Isn’t Ipsy a beauty box too?

Eric Cadman

Hey Donna – ‘Best Overall’ was its own category of reader voting and not a compilation of all other votes.

Carrie

I suspect a lot of people who voted Ipsy for overall probably put Play for beauty!

Also, given recent dissatisfaction with Popsugar, I wonder if it will hold on next year as number 1!
