A-Box is a brand new entry into the Geek Box category! Their goal is to deliver premium geeky goods with authentic, licensed, and/or exclusive items with a promised value of over $70 in each box.

They do limited edition boxes as well, check out our review of the ultra-fun Alien Covenant box to get an idea about those.

A-Box sent us this box to review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Like their limited edition box, everything was compartmentalized into two sections - the big ticket toy, and then a smaller box that contained the other items. It keeps the box nice and clean and is probably better for protecting everything when shipping.

The 'Versus' box featured items from Marvel, Transformers, The Kingsman, and Game of Thrones - a bunch of different genres!

You'll get an information card that details the items in your box.

Transformers Shirt - Value $15?

When I pulled this out I could have sworn I had just seen the same shirt in another box. After a little digging, I was pretty darn close - the June Loot Tee shirt is almost exactly the same! That being said, I still like the Autobot vs Decepticon graphic. Quality-wise, it's right on par with the construction of a typically Loot Crate monthly shirt for reference - and fits as expected on me.

Iron Man QFig FX - Value $20

This month includes a QFig - and one that LIGHTS UP!

Tony comes with everything you need to fire up the engines...

How cool is that? Iron Man flys about 5.5 inches off of your desk.

QFigs seems to be starting to gain a lot of popularity lately. I think it's because they keep the character likeness but still keep it very fun across most of their lines - and when you do light-up, flying statues then the only place to go is up - pun intended.

Spider-Man NECA Scaler - Value $11 on Amazon

You'll get a NECA scaler figure from Spider-Man: Homecoming which I have somehow not yet seen 🙁

Spidey is made to dangle from a cord - whether it's your earbuds or power cable - he'll class it up.

Game of Thrones House Sigil Banner - Value $20 on Amazon

This month includes Game of Thrones item - you'll either receive a House Stark or House Targaryen Sigil banner.

I got the Stark banner (yes!) - each one measure 30x50 inches for you to display your house pride every Sunday night.

Kingsman Pin - Value $5?

The next two items are actually marked as free gifts on the information card - both from The Kingsman.

This is the pin, it's a little, maybe 1-inch pin to pop on your jacket.

Kingsman Keyring - Value $10?

The keyring is also from the upcoming movie - The Golden Circle.

The keyring is 1.5 inches in diameter and has a spinning emblem:

Flip it over for the Kingsman logo!

Verdict: For box number one, we received $81 in value for the $35 cost - well over double the cost! There all kinds of genres so you might not like all franchises - but, you'll also know all of the franchises before you buy - so that's good too. I thought this was a really solid start for A-Box and I'm curious about the next theme "Stealth"!

Wow that’s the best geek box I’ve seen in a while! I was debating subbing to this one after I saw your alien box and now I wish I had! Definitely signing up before the next one releases and I bet with a theme like stealth there will totally be something from the new assassins creed game in there!
