It’s my first time ordering any subscription box and I was amped. That quickly faded when I opened the box. As a long time soccer player zi was very disappointed. Pants fit and move poorly. Tank is not “fall” or very soccer. I have a D chest and it barely covers my nipples. Sunglasses I thought were sized for a kid. Sports bra is useless and doesn’t actually support anything. I like the shoes but I need to order a bigger size. Wanna do soccer style? Do looser pant. Perhaps a muscle tank or A long sleeve t. Maybe a lightweight track jacket or fitted hooded pullover. Socket is over the fall and winter. I don’t believe this box actually had any soccer players in mind.

I was waiting to be pleasantly surprised but this box is EVEN WORSE than the summer box. The shoes are hideous, the sport’s bra is stupid, the sunglasses are small enough to be for a child, the leggings (don’t get me started) and the tank is ridiculous. The whole thing gave me a migraine, literally. So upset that I have now wasted $300 on 2 boxes that I will toss.

Will they not refund, if you return the boxes?

Ugh! I got my box yesterday and it was terrible! Holy purple Barney outfit batman! Also isn’t this supposed to be a FALL box?? Why are there sunglasses, a tank top & cooling tights?? This is the first time I’ve wanted to return this box, what a fail 🙁

Melissa

Send pictures!

Veronica

Oh no Barney does not sound good.

Excited my box is coming tomorrow, but a bit disappointed no jacket. I do need a new pair of sunglasses….

I’ll be looking to swap for the shoes in size 7 if anyone isn’t a fan of the color 🙂

Guys this box it just like the summer box but they added sunglasses. So unless they are the best sunglasses in the world. I don’t see the sense in keeping this box. I was hoping that summer was just a “oops” I think this might be the new trend with AAA. It’s fall at least have a jacket and Gym bag. Hopefully when the picture comes or I get it in the mail I will like.

Sooo bummed to find out that the Fall 2017 box is already sold out!!

I’m excited about this box. I don’t really care what the shoes look like, they got an excellent review for running and that’s all that really matters to me. I don’t even mind the tank because once winter comes I’ll be stuck on the treadmill indoors, so tanks are more useful to me than long sleeve shirts. And the tights have a draw string!!! Yay!

Reply ButtonReply

Joni

Wait, did I just read that the tights have a DRAWSTRING?!?!

🎉🎉🎉🎉 YES!!!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉

(Finally!)

Just curious: who needs 4 new pairs of running shoes per year? Is this subscription really only useful for long distance runners? Or maybe it’s reflecting the whole “athleisure” trend that I’m so behind on, and people just like having variety for their everyday shoes.

This box looks like a great value and I always enjoy seeing the reviews. But I won’t let myself spend lots of $ on exercise clothing until I exercise more regularly.

Does having nice activewear make you want to exercise more? lol

Melinda

I wear athletic shoes daily and have plantar fasciitis. I wear out shoes in 3-4 months. They may look fine but the tread or cushion is worn just enough that it irritates my feet. I also have read that serious runners replace their shoes at this rate also.

Reply ButtonReply

Nicole

Most “experts” say you should change your running shoes every 300-500 miles.

So if you run every day, that’s an average of 5.5 miles a day (500/90). I would say that’s pretty typical for an average runner. (With the caveat that I consider myself an average runner, and I average 5 miles a day).

Reply ButtonReply

Veronica

I wish it did make me exercise.

Reply ButtonReply

Jennifer

I do…

Reply ButtonReply

Ks

I agree about the shoes but having clothes I’m excited to wear does seem to get me to exercise more regularly. And I cant use the excuse of my workout clothes be in the laundry anymore…

Reply ButtonReply

Cristal Guerrero

Its odd how these ladies that provided the info didnt include a pic of the items.

Reply ButtonReply

Wendy

I have been checking like 10 times since this morning to see if a pic has been added. I am with you, how do you know the contents but do not have a pic?

Reply ButtonReply

Juanita L

We could have used the sunglasses in the summer box 🙄 Given the fact that we only got 4 items . Ever since last year and up to the Hannah B box the curators are not impressive and the boxes seem off …

Reply ButtonReply

Megan

Sunglasses are needed year round. The sun can always have a negative effect on your eyes regardless of the time of year. And that includes when it’s cloudy.

Reply ButtonReply

Lynice

I so agree. It’s fall. They need scarfs, backpacks, sweaters, socks and long sleeve shirts. Not sunglasses. Sunglasses are hard too because they are not a one size fit all.

Reply ButtonReply

Cristal Guerrero

So true!

Reply ButtonReply

Jen

I can’t seem to find a picture of these, I’ve been googling like crazy and only find different models in pink/purple. 🙁

Reply ButtonReply

Tania

Someone posted this site for pics and review of the shoes (fyi not the color we’re getting though).

I wish it was a long sleeve top rather than a tank. We have gotten so many tanks and it’s cold here in the fall. I, too, would rather that fitness tracker than sunglasses (as I wear prescription glasses). Other than that, I like the box.

Reply ButtonReply

Jennifer

I’m glad to finally get colorful shoes!!

I think it’s funny that Adidas hasn’t put up what the contents of the summer box are on their website – almost as if they’re embarrassed by minimal contents of the box and don’t want to market it.

Reply ButtonReply

Nicole

Haha! I thought that too! They have spring, and then the fall spoiler, but no summer of 4 items…

Reply ButtonReply

Samantha

I’m so glad I cancelled last minute! I can’t wear sunglasses because of glasses and here’s no hoodie, bummer!!!!

Reply ButtonReply

lz

Cannot believe still no spoilers, even my box will be delivered tomorrow 🙂 Cannot wait for the great box (not that I don’t have plenty of sunglasses). As folks mentioned earlier, you cannot possibly please everyone all the time, way to go, Avenue A!

Reply ButtonReply

lz

I mean spoiler pictures.

Hmm, I’m not *mad* at this box, though I need to see pictures. I’m feeling a big disconnect between the curators and the contents, though, and that feels like a missed opportunity to me.

I’m not an adult who plays soccer, but I have kids who play and am hanging around the pitch 3-4 times a week. I love soccer style, even as streetwear. And, mileage may vary, but none of this looks like it fits the idea that soccer players curated this. I mean, sunglasses? 😂

Not to say this may not end up being a great box. But I was super pumped by the theme, so can’t help but feel a bit disappointed.

Reply ButtonReply

Jenny K

Very good point. I actually adjusted my sizing slightly, thinking that I would share much of this with my soccer-playing daughter. Everything is still very useable, between the two of us though.

Reply ButtonReply

Janese

I agree 100% with this. I was so excited for the soccer theme curators which is why I stayed after the summer box. They could have taken this a whole different direction

Reply ButtonReply

Anne

I was recently diagnosed with Plantar fasciitis. The only change I have made is switching from Asics to Adidas shoes for my everyday …. So looks like those will be up for grabs. I will wait and see on the rest when they arrive. I agree with others that sunglasses and tank seem more summer than fall.

Reply ButtonReply

Tj

I love this sub, however the summer box and now the fall box are disappointing. This box screams summer to me. But i loved all the others. I’m going to give it til the winter box before I cancel.

Reply ButtonReply

Nelz

To each her own: Other than the black Boston sneaks, this is the only remotely cute pair of shoes they’ve sent in the past 1.5 years. In my ever humble opinion, that is. ; )

Reply ButtonReply

Karen

I don’t mind colorful shoes but makes you wonder if this is why they didn’t spoil the shoes from the beginning …..hmmm.. 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Cristal Guerrero

Any pictures???

Reply ButtonReply

Tania

I did a google image search, found matches for everything listed, except of course the sunglasses. You can search them in the adidas website.

Ali

I’ll have to see the box before I make any decisions, but I’m ready for some color! :o) It seems that Adidas is being pretty generous with this one, although I agree it seems more like a summer box than fall. I live on the beach in NC, so tanks are great, but my favorite box so far was the Spring 2017 box… LOVE that hoodie! I’m 5’10, so it was the perfect length.

I wear prescription lenses and not sure why many of those who have prescriptions don’t want them. I’ve taken quite a few sunglasses (from Judith Leiber to Ray Ban to Costa to Oakley to Nike) and had prescription lenses put in (though for Costa and Oakley their labs have to make the lenses). Anyway, if you like them, that’s an option. Especially excited if they’re sporty, or trendy ones that also have rubber on the nose so they don’t slide down while being active and glistening. ;o) Fingers crossed!!

Reply ButtonReply

Janet

Cost! Prescription lenses aren’t cheap and that’s assuming you have a recent enough prescription that an optometrist would be willing to put them in for you (some want it to be less than 6 months old).

I’m not excited to pay $150 for a box where I can’t use one of the items unless I spend even more money.

I love purple and can’t wait to get those shoes! That is the reason I subscribed this time, I’ve worn a hole in the gym shoes I have now and that brand has shut down, Skora, for the time being. So considering I didn’t have to shop around and choose the shoes myself, and these have a great running review, and the color is my fave, I’m a satisfied subber! And then getting a sports bra, black leggings, and a tank…plus sunglasses that will hopefully be sports friendly…it’s a majorly good deal. Couldn’t have bought all that for $150 on my own, even on sale! In the minority, but I’m super excited to get this box!

Reply ButtonReply

Amanda81778

I’m excited too, but I really liked the summer box so I’m definitely in the minority. If course I’d have liked another item in it, but it was a cute, comfortable outfit

Reply ButtonReply

Jenny

I thought the summer box was awesome. But, I also seem to be in the minority that I really don’t care what things look like if they function really well for me. I once had running shoes that had weird black splotches on a white background and pink and purple trim. They were hideous. I called them my cow shoes. But they worked best for my feet…

Jenny K

It says the leggings are blue, FYI.

Reply ButtonReply

Miranda B

Thanks for the correction Jenny K! Blue, black…at least it’s not some geometric craziness, I have enough pairs of those already lol.

Erin

Ooh! I am super excited about finally getting a pair of actual running shoes and not the “I wanna look like I work out, but really I’m just taking a selfie” shoes. Color is good because it hides the dirt from the road, so as long as it’s not black/white/grey like they have been the last few boxes, I’m good.

I can always use a spare set of sunglasses, and I wear Rx sunglasses, but in a pinch, it’s nice to have a spare.

I mix and match my stuff so much, I’m good if it doesn’t make a matchy-matchy look.
