Swap for any item in this box from the Allure Beauty Box Swap page!

Each box comes with a booklet detailing the items included and why the Allure Beauty Editors selected them.

Many of the products come with exclusive coupon codes for Allure Beauty Box subscribers, too.

Now, on to the items!

Caudalie Instant Detox Mask – 15 ml Value $7.80

(Good to know for swaps, this product has an inner foil seal.)

This pink clay mask is soothing and smells lovely thanks to lavender! I applied a thin layer, and it took about 10 minutes to dry completely. I washed it off and couldn't believe how soft and clean my skin felt. (I seriously couldn't stop touching my face!) It's my favorite discovery in the box! (And ZERO skin irritation, too!)

Ouai Finishing Crème – 15 ml Value $3.60

(Good to know for swaps, this product has an inner foil seal.)

I've sampled a few products from Ouai thanks to subscription boxes, and this is my favorite out of all of them. It adds moisture but no weight to your hair, and it's the perfect amount of the classic Ouai scent, too.

Vichy Mineral 89 – 5 ml Value $2.95

This moisturizer is so unique! It has a gel-like consistency, and it’s made with Mineralizing Water with Hyaluronic Acid to “fortify skin and make it more resistant to visible aging caused by pollution, stress to skin.”

The formula absorbed almost instantly, and my skin felt more hydrated as well. This seems like a perfect moisturizer for warmer weather!

Rodial Smokey Eye Pen – FULL SIZE! Value $21

This formula goes on like an eye crayon, for medium-pigment. It's easy to blend for a smokey eye look, but that means it isn't smudge-proof!

Here it is swatched:

Hey Honey I Peel Good! Biomimetic Honey Peel Cream – 15ml Value $32.50

(This is half the size of the full-size version!)

This peel cream is designed to basically do all the things:

1. Improves skin texture after just one application

2. Smooths lines around the eye area by increasing cell turnover

3. Brightens skin and reduces dark circles under the eye

4. Aids in eliminating blackheads and breakouts, minimizes large pores

5. Reduces fine lines and smoothes the lip area

6. Promotes an even skin texture and tone by reducing dark spots

7. Enhances skin elasticity in face and neck

It's easy to use. Just massage it into your skin for 2-3 minutes, it will change texture a bit, massage for a few minutes more, then wipe off.

I can't say I noticed most of those changes listed after using it one time, but for sure my skin was softer, smoother, and a bit more hydrated, too. (Plus I love a quick beauty treatment!)

SkinFix Facial Cleansing Cloths – 3 pack Value $1.50

Skinfix is one of my favorite drugstore brands. I first discovered them thanks to Target Beauty Box, and I love their ingredient-conscious formulas. (Their hand cream is THE BEST!)

These cloths are refreshing (scented with real cucumber) and were gentle on my skin. And most importantly, they did a great job of removing makeup!

Verdict: This box has a value of about $69.35! That's great for a $15 beauty box! The eyeliner wasn't anything special to me, but everything else was a standout hit! This is such a great skin care box from Allure!

The presentation of the box is beautiful! I love the little booklet that comes with it and it looks much cleaner and better put together than all my other subscription boxes. However, there were several flaws. The smokey eye pen broke on me during my first use so I didnt get to try it at all. The Skinfix wipes are useless, they were really dry and didn’t do anything to my skin. The other products were okay, but nothing I would buy myself. Not too impressed with anything I received this month (my first month subscribing to the box), but I’ll keep the subscription to see if it gets better. I expected more makeup and less skincare.

I do love this box! But have been trying to cancel for 2 months! No products are worth this hassle. I get charged repeatedly each month and cancellation confirmations as well. They write to keep box as parting gift…haha, I paid for it!! Regret starting this sub!! CS sucks!! All I get are generated responses!

Yes, for anyone considering this box, I do want to warn you that they continued charging me after sending me an email confirmation that I had unsubscribed (and that was after several emails and phone calls trying to unsubscribe). I only found out be checking my bank statement. Terrible customer service, feels like a scam. Buyer beware.

I am so glad I cancelled. They have nothing but crap now. Been this way for a while. I’ll stick with Boxycharm

I got mine on Tuesday and I loved it, as usual. I am one of the few people who don’t mind black eyeliners since I use it every day, it’s not super exciting but will be used. The hey honey felt soooo nice as did the Caudalie ( it was almost empty but I did get one mask out of it). The Vichy was surprisingly hydrating and I am a Skinfix lover and I have not tried the wipes before so that was nice to try. I used the Ouai today and I have to say that I saw a difference in my hair. My favorite was the Caudalie and the Skinfix wipes and for the most part I do not care for makeup removal wipes but these did not irritate my skin nor did it leave that slimy film that you cant wait to rinse off even though they all say it is not necessary. Allure keeps it’s place as one of my top two favorite boxes and I’m excited for September.

I love this box! I almost didn’t keep the smokey eye pencil, but used it last night, really like it. I tried the skin fix wipes today, nice. The hey honey is Terrific! It makes your skin beyond soft and is 1/2 the size of a full size that sells for $65. I used the Vichy right after and it only needed 2 pumps to do my whole face. The hair product looks good, so does the caudalie. All in all I think the box is very nice! I am really looking forward to next month’s box too!

I think this months was a gr8 box. Eyeliner is my favorite make-up. I love both Caudalie and Vichy products and can’t wait to try these two. The only Hey Honey product that I have tried is the lip balm and its a good lip balm so looking forward to trying peel cream. I haven’t used the facial cleansing cloths yet, but a friend of mine said that they did a good job removing her waterproof mascara.

Did anyone else notice that their Ouai sample was almost completely empty? I realized when I saw it under the light that it’s maybe 1/6th filled. Not sure if mine was mis-filled or if they’re all that stingy?

Heather

Mine is only maybe 30-40% full. Complete rip-off for the box in my opinion since it’s a high-end brand. I have short hair and don’t use very many hair products so I’m not going to contact CS (like they would even respond anyways) but this is very disappointing. I got my box discounted for a few months when I threatened to cancel but after my price goes back up I’m canceling because this box is just not worth it to me anymore.

A friend of mine just got her box, and remembering your comment we inspected the tube right away. 😀 When we first tested the tube, we got to pretty much the bottom of the tube (around where the weight is listed) before any product came out. But, when we squeezed hard enough, starting from the tip, we got halfway down the tube before product started to come out. Like Mary-Ellen said, the tube is larger than a typical .5oz tube. The size of it actually reminds me of the 1oz Briogio hair mask samples. Hey Honey’s tube holds .5oz product as well, and looks about 2/3 the size of the Ouai product, but when we “weighed” both products in our hands, they did feel about the same weight.

Mary-Ellen

Yes it is pretty light. The tube is a size that could hold much more than .5 oz which is the amount of product it contains

Oh I like this box better after this review! I was going to wait until next month to start a sub because I want the drunk elephant but I think I might start this month because I think I would actually use all of these products except the eyeliner.

I really have been enjoying my Allure boxes for the past couple months. I had unsubscribed earlier, but I’m glad I restarted the subscription. This box is right up my alley. I love skincare. I’m really looking forward to trying out the Hey Honey sample tonight. I just went through the box last night. It’s great!

Love this box..Love skinfix..very refreshing…not an eye liner girl but my friend will love that!! Overall all great products.

Jenn

Did anyone have the eyeliner break off at the tip? I went to test it on my hand and the whole tip broke off!

Reply ButtonReply

Christine

Mine didn’t break off. It might be because it melted in transit?

Reply ButtonReply

Traci

Mine came broken. I wrote CS and have yet to hear from them. I was NOT impressed with this sub at all. Canceling.

Jackie

Hm, I’m usually really impressed with the value of Allure – this box looks a little lighter compared to what I usually see. Hopefully better months are coming!

Melissa

My thoughts exactly.

Alex

I don’t think I can use any of the face products due to my sensitive skin but I still really liked this box. I liked the brands and I’ll use the Ouai and the skin fix wipes and the rest can be swapped.

I can’t wait for next month with the DE Lala Retro Cream sample!

Jeannette

Disappointing the samples were so small. Values are severely over inflated. I plan on cancelling after this month. I have not been wow’d with any of the boxes I’ve gotten so far.

Renee

I love this box. Allure always does such a good job!

Sara

I thought this box was a little disappointing, thought the samples were tiny. But also didn’t realize the Hey Honey sample was so expensive!!

Nyesha

I LOVE THIS BOX!!! I will give the hair product to someone who will use it but all the other products are awesome! My skin is in soft bliss! I don’t like eyeliners but this pencil really does give a nice Smokey eye. To think I was 2 seconds from giving it away too.

Alex

Ooooh let me know if you’d like to swap the Ouai 😊

Nyesha

I would love to but I’m on that swap waiting list and do not know how to swap outside of it 🙁
