Check out all of my Allure Beauty Box reviews and the Beauty Subscription Box Directory!

Swap for any item in this box from the Allure Beauty Box Swap page!

Each box comes with a booklet detailing the items included and why the Allure Beauty Editors selected them.

And this box is Allure's Best of Beauty Box - every product included is an award winner!

Many of the products come with exclusive coupon codes for Allure Beauty Box subscribers, too.

Now, on to the items!

tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Seduce – FULL SIZE! Value $29

(Subscribers will receive this full-size blush in one of four colors.)

I love tarte and I love their blush, so this is a stellar subscription box item for me! The formula is ingredient conscious, highly pigmented, and goes on so smoothly. It has a matte finish, and you can easily build color. (Plus there's no fallout with this powder, and it stays put once it's applied!)

Here it is swatched with a few swipes:

Gorgeous!!

Drunk Elephant Lala Retro Whipped Cream – 15 ml Value $18

Another fab ingredient-conscious brand!

This whipped night cream is unscented (LOVE), it has a rich and creamy consistency, and it absorbs quickly with no greasy finish. My skin immediately felt soft and hydrated after using it, too. This is my favorite discovery in the box!

(Note - some readers mentioned having a skin reaction to this, so I recommend spot testing this first. I have sensitive skin, and had no issues with it, but wanted to call out just in case!)

Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Eye – 3 ml Value $7.40

First, I am happy to report that this tube is FULL! (If you've ever squeezed a sample tube to discover it's about 60% air, you can relate to my joy when I first tried this.) And like all eye creams, a little goes a long way, so I think this sample should actually last for a few weeks!

The formula is designed to help with puffiness, lines, and dark circles (#undereyegoals), and it is fragrance-free, too! (It does have a very faint lavender scent thanks to essential oil, but I love that!) And this is another cream that absorbed almost instantly and left my skin feeling hydrated!

Living Proof Full Dry Volume Blast – 3 oz (Travel Size) Value $15

Lots of ingredient conscious brands this month! Living Proof is one of my favorite haircare brands - their formulas are great, and everything smells SO good, too.

This volumizer added volume and texture to my hair - and it actually stayed that way throughout the day! (I'm used to a lot of volumizing products deflating with time.) Of course, there's always a cost for volume, and with this spray, it definitely made my hair feel dry. So just a heads up that it won't feel great running your fingers through your hair, but you'll look great doing it! 🙂

Beauty Blender Micro Mini – Value $9

This beauty blender is SO tiny! It’s great for precision in applying foundation around the eye area and around nostrils.

If you aren’t familiar with how to use this makeup sponge, first you wet it, squeeze it out, then bounce it across your skin to help blend in/apply foundation. The finish is as close to airbrush as I think you can get!

Verdict: This box has a value of about $78.40! That's great for a $15 beauty box! I think this might be my favorite Allure Beauty Box of all time - I wish they did a Best of Beauty Awards box every month! All the sample sizes are great, and full-size tarte? The answer is yes, always!

What do you think of the September Allure Beauty Box?

Does anyone know if I can buy this box without a sub in multiples, can bang out at least 10 Xmas gifts with this

JuJu

You’d have to use a different email address for each one, but I don’t see why not.

Although honestly, my personal recommendation would be to check eBay first. Many people sell their unused beauty stashes in lots.

I subscribed to this box for the Tarte blush (full size Tarte, what??) and the mini beauty blender and am really loving the whole thing. And for $10, what a steal!

I got the Tarte blush in Captivating and it is the perfect peachy tone for my light skin. I had been on the hunt for a new blush and this hit the mark.

I love beauty blenders (especially mini ones!) so was very excited to get another to add to my collection as those things aren’t cheap on their own. I got a free mini one from Tarte a little while ago so I am set!

I haven’t used the Living Proof or Drunk Elephant products yet, but they both smell really nice!

I am also loving the eye cream. The formula is pretty thick and lightly smells of lavender, but absorbs really nicely.

The free eye shadow palette has some nice shades and I like that it’s magnetic so you can swap the shades around. Not sure where I would find new ones to add though.

Overall a really nice first box for me, but the spoilers for the rest of the year don’t look that great…

Apparently Allure will send in little seasonal eyeshadows to swap into your Doucce palette!

Reply ButtonReply

JuJu

This is really old information. When they first started sending the free palette, yes, they promised a new eyeshadow each season. In reality they only ever sent one, and at this point they won’t send anymore because the gree gift is the Tarte blush now.

The Kiehl’s Midnight Eye Cream is fantastic! ….and the baby Beauty Blender works really well for under eye concealer, but I don’t like having to constantly wash it. So…has anyone tried the Living Proof Dry Volume Blast? Is it like a dry shampoo spray? Or is it like the Waves spray we got a couple months ago? My favorite item this month is the Eye Cream, for sure. My Tarte blush joined my back stash of future hopefuls…LOL. Now I’m looking forward to my October box 🙂

Great box this month. Unfortunately I got the one blush color I won’t wear which is Captivating. I would be happy to exchange it for Dazzled, my preference, or Seduce if anyone is interested. Thank you for your consideration.

I am receiving all my boxes this month without shipping notifications – first Ipsy, then Boxycharm, now Allure. Well, at least I got them all with no issues. 🙂

I received the exact blush color I wanted! (Blushing Bride) I thought it was risky to subscribe just for that (well, I was also interested in the La La Retro and the mini makeup sponge), but it all worked out! And for $10 this is a steal.

Oh, my Doucce eyeshadow palette came with the mirror shattered, I called Allure CS and they immediately offered to send a replacement. I was initially planning to cancel this subscription at the end of the month, but I think I’ll stay for a few more months now.

Yay!!! Darcy, are you on the swap site? I’m still trying to figure out the site, but I’ll look for you if you’re on the site. Alternatively, please email me at dmsteffey at yahoo dot com. Thanks!

Oops…that was meant to be a reply to an earlier comment.

Got my box on Friday…went away for the weekend…finally opened it today. I received all items and all were intact. I got the Tarte blush in Captivating, a peachy nude pink…great for my skin tone. The Beauty Blender is teeny tiny (so cute!)..will be fun to try w/ under eye concealer. The Drunk Whipped Cream is thick and lovely. But the Kiehl’s Eye Cream and Living Proof Blast will have to wait their turns, behind all my other previous samples. Overall, I’m pleased with this box. Allure has really improved since last year, thank goodness. No more bait & switch (I hope I didn’t just jinx it!)

I got my box today and I got Dazzled and I love it!! It is so perfect for my coloring. I am very happy with this month! Yay Allure!

Reply ButtonReply

Dani

I got Captivating, which is the only shade I didn’t want. If anyone with Dazzled or Seduce wants to swap for Captivating, I’d love to swap.

Darcy

I got blushing bride and looking to do a swap

Yay!!! Darcy, are you on the swap site? I’m still trying to figure out the site, but I’ll look for you if you’re on the site. Alternatively, please email me at dmsteffey at yahoo dot com. Thanks!

For those of you that were supposed to get the Marc Jacobs mascara and eyeliner as a sign on bonus I got mine finally a few weeks ago. It was for signing back of in June..So worth the wait. Both are Full Size… P. S Allure thank you again for such an amazing box…. I can’t believe the full size Tarte… I got the Dazzled blush which it’s something I would pick but you never know right… I’m pale and peachy colors tend to look better… Very happy either way!

So I went ahead and ordered thai box 3 times. Created 2 new subs. Got the free palette for both, for those saying that they thought they ran out. Wouldn’t you know it that I got 2 August boxed today and one Sept, even though I made sure to order when it said if you order now you’ll receive the Sept box. Soo upset right now.

I got mine Today! LOVE IT!!! Tarte in blushing bride- beautiful on. Liking the drunken elephant, been wanting to try their products- used the kiehl eye cream- seems good, not allergic to it- love the Living Proof, smells great. Never used the beauty blender but I am sure I will like it. Great value and I got mine for $10 + tax. YAYYYY Allure- You ROCK!

I got Dazzled and I love it. I’m medium skin toned and I just applied a little bit and it is perfect, really really pretty. I love everything Tarte so I have had my eye on their blush for a long time. Just can’t justify spending that much on a blush so this was perfect way to know that it’s totally worth the price, but I think this will last me for a really long time. I love Allure, I enjoy skin care heavy boxes. I have boxycharm for make up.

I’m glad you got a shade that compliments your skin tone. I got Blushing Bride and I love it! I was nervous about it, but it looks wonderful.

Reply ButtonReply

Kim

Received my Allure box today…unfortunately I got the Dazzled (dusty rose) blush when I would have preferred the Blushing Bride…Guess I will gift it to some lucky woman who can use it.

Reply ButtonReply

Darcy

I would love to trade! I got blushing bride, which is beautiful, but i already have it. I was really hoping for any of the other shades

Reply ButtonReply

Patricia ( Trish ) Bell

That is the Color I’m most interested in so if I get a different color I’ll let ya know and maybe you’d like to trade with me. 🙂

I’ll let you know either way which shade I receive.

Reply ButtonReply

Lori

I got Dazzled too, it’s a really pretty color, I’m not sure if it’s going to work for me yet but I’m still going to give it a try 😉

Just wanted to give all of the Allure Beauty Box subscribers a big THANK YOU!!! No, I was not excited about this box at first but after reading comments and thoughts, it really IS a great box. Even if there are things I won’t use, the holidays aren’t that far away… I love skincare and I need that little beauty blender! I don’t like the Living Proof product but my niece does! 🙂 The only thing I’m iffy on is the blush. I do hope I get the right color for my skin but if I don’t, it will definately not go to waste.

There’s full Allure spoilers out for October, November and then a special Alluer box for December!

Well, not full spoilers. They are showing 4 products for each month. I think I’m cancelling after I get this month’s.

I’ve been a subscriber to Allure since Oct 2015, loved it so much after 2 boxes that I gave my sister a 6 month sub for Christmas 2015 and between the 2 of us haven’t had any problems. I love it! Yes, some months are better than others but I can’t say there have been any that have been total disappointments. Not even the scandalous Luna Play box of May 2016 was a problem. (As long as you don’t count how many Foreo items I’ve ended up purchasing since then. Their toothbrush is divine.)

That being said, this is the first time in a VERY LONG TIME that I’ve seen them offer only 5 items for a month. I’m looking forward to seeing what color Tarte blush I get, very excited about the Drunk Elephant moisturizer but this will be my 3rd baby Beauty Blender. Not thrilled with these but maybe it’s about time I use them. It’s a good box right before their Best of Beauty issue.

Reply ButtonReply

Rose J.

Oh yeah… sister’s sub is still going strong. There wasn’t an ounce of problems when I transitioned her from gift subbie to regular. We love this box!

Reply ButtonReply

Patricia

How long does it usually take them to ship? Do you get a notice when it does ship? They’ve charged my card already but I haven’t heard anything from them. I subscribed a few weeks ago with the $5 off deal

Reply ButtonReply

Stefany Salinas

so I read that it usually ships after the 15th or something like that

Reply ButtonReply

Lisa

I’m excited for this box, but I’m curious: Allure lists the value at $120+ on their website. Where did that number come from?

Reply ButtonReply

Jennifer Pursley

I’m pretty sure they’re including the value of the eyeshadow pallet you get for free if you’re a new subscriber 😉

Reply ButtonReply

mandi

I cancelled my sub for August and just resubbed on amazon instead of the regular site, I hope it will be easier to manage with them. This box looks amazing, I’ve received that volume spray in a box before and I love it, it smells great too. Can’t wait to try everything else, this is a winner for me.

Reply ButtonReply

Amber

How do I cancel my box? Can’t find a number to cancel

Reply ButtonReply

Emily

It is up at the top right of the allure beauty box page it says contact us (if you ever need to find it again.) It is
1-800-274-1603. If you call it now, it will say they are closed and give you the operating hours. I forget the exact times but I think during weekdays it starts at 7 am central.

Olivia

What do you mean resumed on Amazon? I want to get just Septembers box but have heard the horror stories with canceling. Is there a way to get it on there? I bet amazon would have better CS

Reply ButtonReply

JuJu

You can now subscribe to Allure beauty box through Amazon.

Lori

I sub’d to this box in July and they’ve been great for me 😉 I got my free eye shadow pallet about 2 days after I got my first box, they did say that it would ship separately so I expected that. I have to say that this is my favorite sub box right now 😍 I’m loving the products and I’ve been able to use everything that has been in the boxes so far. That’s not always the case with subs so I’m very excited about the September box! Can’t wait to try the Tarte blush and I’m sure I’ll make any of the colors work for me 😉😉😍

Reply ButtonReply

Lydia

I might have to pull the trigger on this box – every item looks like a winner!

Also we don’t have any Allure spoilers past September, correct? Just making sure I didn’t miss anything.

Reply ButtonReply

The Rach

Spoilers for the rest of the year are online here! 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Michelle

I signed up on 8/15 and got my eye shadow yesterday but no notification about my box shipping yet. I spoke to customer service and was told it’s in the warehouse ready to be shipped.

Why don’t they ship paid subs first before freebies to reviewers. I get that they want people to sign up but if you can’t ship mine in 15 days maybe you have more than you can handle now?

Reply ButtonReply

Laura

The 1st box took the longest to ship when i ordered. Almost 2-3 weeks, but then once it is in the system the boxes after get to you around on the 14th/15th or so. Sometimes before that.

Reply ButtonReply

HannahK

i actually signed up the same day as you, never got the shipping notification for my box but did for my freebie, and just got my box today randomly. I am really happy with everything i was having a bad skin day and now it feels so much better. I did email two days ago asking about it and it wad just a general response saying they would email menthe tracking when shipped lol

Reply ButtonReply

Jenny

I subbed earlier but got billed by 8/15 as well. I also got my doucce palette but no sub box. I emailed CS twice on different weeks and the first time they told me to wait the 15 days (excluding weekends btw if anyone is wondering) and then the next time after that I emailed the following monday, after the 15 days and they told me their boxes are delayed and to wait until Sept 1st if I still havent gotten the tracking info and to contact them again on the first. >.> I am a first time subscriber and I want to rip my hair out already. I just gotta be patient I guess, but with them giving me the run around, its making me panic a bit. I don’t like my $15 dollars a month to be played with. (Though I payed 10 this month) Let me know if you get anything love!

Reply ButtonReply

Marciana

I resubbed on 8/16 after putting my subscription on hold for a couple of months. I’ve called twice since then including yesterday & have been told the same-it’s at the warehouse to be shipped. First time I have ever put this sub on hold & was worried bc I’ve read so many negative comments about multiple months of payments taken yet no box with new or restarted subs. Hopefully we will get our boxes soon!
