Does anyone know if we get any say in the blush we get? I only want to get the box since it’s $10 for a $30 blush that I’ve been wanting, but I don’t want the wrong shade :/

Sharon in SE TX

It’s random. I’m hoping for a shade I can use. I’m not really into swapping.

I don’t know why my previous comment didn’t go through, but I was saying that you can now subscribe to this beauty box on Amazon. There is no coupon (there is still the free Doucce palette though), but on the plus side you won’t ever have to deal with Allure customer service.

Reply ButtonReply

katie

Thanks Juju!!! Subscribing through Amazon makes me want to subscribe.

JuJu

Glad the news helped someone. 😃

Christine

I’m not sure why people are complaining so much about customer service. Allure actually has customer support staff that answer the phone during business hours (may be same staff that does their magazine subscriptions). At least it is possible to speak with someone.

I noticed with most other subscription boxes, they don’t have actual customer support staff so you either get a voice message or they only communicate with you over email.

I do think Allure should re-implement the cancel button again so that people are free to come and go without mishaps over cancellation though. They had that up through early this year and then removed it.

Reply ButtonReply

JuJu

I don’t even understand the rationale for that considering that it’s a lot more man-hours for them to process cancellations over the phone.

Nyesha

Is it September yet?! I’m anticipating this box more than the Target box!!

I wanted to mention in case anyone is unfamiliar with the product that a while back I received a Tarte blush sample from Ulta, and it’s EXTREMELY pigmented! You only need one LIGHT swipe with a brush before you start looking like a clown. The sample I got is just a thin layer of powder on a card, and I used it I think maybe five times so far, but considering just how little of it you need every time it looks like that card will last me fifty more times at least. I only barely made a dent in that layer. This full size blush you get in the September box will last you forever. 🙂

Thanks for the scoop, Juju!

Any time 😉✌

I’m happy to see this! I wasn’t thrilled with the original size listed. I expect that size from a $10.00 sub. 15ml?! WOW! That’s pretty big for a sample! Thank you all for your input. You have convinced me to stick around for awhile. Can’t wait for spoilers for October.

So glad they upped the ante on the Drunk Elephant. I was previously appalled at the 3 ml especially seeing how expensive it is in the full size. Now we have enough to see how our skin reacts to it before investing in the full size. Yay Allure and Drunk Elephant!

i got one in tbis months box-love love love it!

Reece

Both August and September boxes look great but ALLURE is very sneaky with another charge for the following month within days. Hope everyone enjoys their boxes. I pass

Reply ButtonReply

Rebecca

That’s the way will
All sub boxes. You sub late in the month- you get a box and charge within a matter of days. That’s not sneaky- it’s business.

Reply ButtonReply

Reece

I never said it was a late sub. Read first what I wrote or are you remedial?

I said it was towards the middle of the month. Understand 😊

Meaning from the beginning to the middle. Not the end.

Reece

I never said it was late in the month. Read! before you comment

Nicole

If you sign up late in the month, that’s not sneaky, it’s normal. You get the box for the month you sign up regardless of when in the month it is. I signed up in late May knowing they charge when it ships after the initial month (it says so in their FAQ), so I’ve made it a point to have the money available from the beginning of the month. But seriously, if you sign up on the 28th of any month, you will get two boxes close together—the month it was when you signed up and the next month.

Reply ButtonReply

Reece

I never said it was in the end pf the month. It was actually towards the middle

Reece

Maybe for you its normal but when I seen a charge that I had no idea for what then to ME its sneaky! no less than 2 days later. Carry on

Beccah

Yeah! I just resubbed just for that lala cream! It is my favorite of all time! Allure has been better Macy’s so I unsubbed to them yesterday!

When this spoiler came out in (I think) June I set a reminder to subscribe so I would get the lotion.

I have rosacea and I can use the entire DE line including the mask. I have crazy sensitive skin so I hope that no one has a bad reaction. I have super dry skin and sometimes this lotion feels too thick on me. That’s a bonus that’s never happened to me before 😊

Reply ButtonReply

Marcianna

I have rosacea too but the DE vitamin c broke me out 😢

Jodi

I received confirmation my Aug box finally shipped yesterday, which is kind of nice. I like when my subs arrive at different times, rather than within a few days of each other.

CS is fine as long as you are firm. I had to cancel during the Foreo mess, and it wasn’t more than a three minute call. I don’t email if it’s important to me.

Great spoiler! Can’t wait to see the rest of the Sept box!

Reply ButtonReply

Taren

It got better after I cancelled. Darn!

Reply ButtonReply

torres_alexia

You can get the box again if you resubscribed 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Hillary

So what you’re saying is that I should wait until September to sign up? Because this box looks awesome, but the August box looks lame.

Reply ButtonReply

Landi

I feel the same! Do I sign up now for Sept. Or do I wait until the 1st to make sure I am getting September? alanda

Reply ButtonReply

Dawn

When I signed up near the end of the month, I got that months box. So, if you don’t want the August box, I would sign up 1st thing on the 1st. I did run into issues on the price & the free eyeshadow palette. I used the link here for $5 off your 1st box + the free Doucce eyeshadow palette. It’s pretty clear on their website about the palette. I saw the charge for allure being $15 + tax. I got no response via email. So I called. I had to make 3 calls before I could get a CSR that was not rude. Finally! Then I waited & waited & waited for the eyeshadow palette. Again, no response via email. Again, I had to call several times. A few days later, still no email confirmation for that. I called back to cancel & mentioned the BBB. Got an immediate shipping email for the palette. The only reason I’m still subscribed is they offered 4 months @ $10.00 + tax per month. I have not heard anything good about their CS and am experiencing that for myself. I got the whole 4 months for $10.00 idea from other allure subscribers but I did not even have to mention that. It was just offered when I said I wanted to cancel because I didn’t feel it’s worth $15. I have heard you can now subscribe thru amazon & not have to deal w/ allure at all but idk if you get the $5 off & eyeshadow. I’m waiting for October spoilers. Good products, poor service. Also, I got the email,”your box has shipped!”, hours after it was delivered. Hope this helps.

Christine

This is shaping up to be an even greater box. Allure blows Macy’s out of the water.

I signed up in August and I am not getting an August box. It said at the top that my first box would be September. And, they didn’t charge me, so I am sure that is correct. When you start signing up it will say that at the top.

Reply ButtonReply

Heather

If you email or call you can probably get the August box if you want it. They skipped over my July box for some reason so I emailed CS and was able to get it within a week.

Reply ButtonReply

Shelby

I first contacted Allure’s CS depth because of that, actually, and I have written confirmation that my first box will be August.

Reply ButtonReply

Teresa k

I just signed up and the top of the sign up said my first box would be August.
I am showing a $10.70 ecommerce pending charge which I am guessing is for the August box.
My order confirmation email does not specify which will be my first month though, it just says they will email when my first box has shipped. I am really wanting September though, so if I get August also at least I know for sure I will get September.
This box looks so much better than Macy’s which is on my chopping block.

Reply ButtonReply

SunnyT

I’m tempted by this box, but I’ve read so many horror stories about their customer service that I just can’t talk myself into it. Looks like a great box though!

Reply ButtonReply

Heather

I’ve not had the most pleasant experience with their CS. I’ve only been subscribed since February of this year and have had to email more times than I can count. I had to email multiple times asking where my shipping info for the July box was and they never answered me and I never got it so I emailed again after I received my August box and asked if they could still send it to me and they did. They’re very frustrating to deal with and are not very friendly. If you want nice CS I would suggest the Nylon Box because they are some of the nicest customer service reps I’ve ever dealt with in any category.

Reply ButtonReply

Eve

Allure continued billing me after I got a confirmation email from CS that I had unsubscribed. This was not the first problem that I had with them. Even though my experience of the customer service has been absolutely terrible, I’m still tempted by the Sept box…

Reply ButtonReply

Heather

Their customer service is horrendous. The box is great, but if you have any issues (whether it be not receiving your box, not receiving products, etc) you will get no help. I received an email promising a free full-sized Marc Jacobs mascara and eyeliner. Two months later and I never received it so I cancelled.

Reply ButtonReply

Chris

I was supposed to get the Marc Jacobs too, but didn’t. I emailed them and they said they ran out and would send me something else. I think it is a dark spot corrector.

Kristin

I have always gotten my replacement products!

Erica

I had the exact same problem!! Contacted them three times with no help. Cancelled feeling super frustrated as those gifts were the whole reason I subscribed.

MissBailey

Don’t let the CS scare you off. Everyone’s experience differs as mine as always been good. In the 4 years that I’ve been getting their box, I’ve only talked to CS about 3 times and part of that was billing issues from Sample Society/Beauty Bar to Allure. They got them fixed and I’ve never had a lapse in service.

Reply ButtonReply

MissBailey

Allure has been my favorite beauty subscription. This looks to be another awesome box.

Reply ButtonReply

Barb

That’s wonderful! I was trying to be happy about the 5ml, but this is great. It covers the cost of the box. I agree that we could use on October spoiler too!

Reply ButtonReply

Melissa W.

That’s great news! It’s the product that I wanted to try the most out of this box.

Reply ButtonReply

chris

Allure you did it again!!! You made my day!

Reply ButtonReply

Valerie

I’m so excited! That’s a great sample size. Hopefully I get one of the two Tarte blushes that will look good on me. If not, I can gift it. I have a 4mL sample of the Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate and it’s amazing–plus a little bit goes a long way. 3mL should last a little while for an eye serum.

Reply ButtonReply

Shelby

This is exciting! I’d be more excited, though, if they would ever ship my August box. CS keeps telling me they don’t have a ship date, but I was billed on the 8th. Working with their CS dept has been one thing after another. If this trend continues, Sept may be my last box.

Reply ButtonReply

Lori

Yay! Does anyone know if this cream is good for combo/oily skin? I’ve been trying to balance my skin by adding moisturizer during the day and I’m hoping that the whipped texture will work for me… Any advice?

Reply ButtonReply

Jaclyn

I have very oily skin and love this product. I was bummed when I hit bottom on my jar. My mother has very dry skin and it wasn’t moisturizing enough for her.

Reply ButtonReply

Lori

Thanks so much for your response Jaclyn! I’ve been trying to find a good moisturizer for my skin and I’m really excited to get this box now and try it! 😊😊

Sharon in SE TX

Yay! I’m even more excited about this box. 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Lisa

I’ve been looking forward to trying it, and now there’s even more, so that’s great. Excited for this box. I’m also dying for a sneak peek at October!
