MAHALO Skin Care BEAN Antioxidant Mask - Value $80

How fab is this wooden packaging? MAHALO products are so gorgeous!

My first thought when I opened the jar? Chocolate + coffee! This clay mask formula is so decadent! And it comes with a brush (value $20) to apply:

You apply a thin layer with the brush, let it sit for about 20 minutes, then remove with warm water. The Morrocan clay is ground down to fine particles, which are perfect for a little extra exfoliation when you wash it off.

This was a TREAT! It dries completely but doesn't tighten, so I wasn't sure what to expect. But once I removed it, my pores were so clean, my skin so soft, and zero irritation! My new favorite mask!

Verdict: This month's Beauty Heroes box has a value of about $100. I think that's a great value for the cost, and I appreciate that Beauty Heroes sends top-quality natural and organic brands. And this mask is absolutely divine!

This box is about quality over quantity, and I highly recommend it if you are looking for a natural beauty box.

I don’t know about long-term effects but I’ve used this mask 4 times in 2 weeks and I love it! Each time my skin looks and feels smoother for a couple of days… swoon.

Now that I’ve canceled so many subs, I’ll have all that more to spend on BF! 🙂

That mask sounds so good. If you sub to this box, is it only available in three month increments? Not on a month to month basis?

I got in a while ago when they did offer month-to-month but sometime ago they stop that

Unfortunately, it is. However, Beauty Heroes does tend to sell their boxes individually about twice per year at $45 ($39 if you’re a current subscriber). We just have to hope this box isn’t already sold out by the time they decide to sell their past boxes. Last year they went on sale around Black Friday or early December.

I want this box so badly because I’ve been dying to try the Mahalo brand.

I agree about this mask… it’s by far one of my most favorite masks (right along with Uma’s Ultimate Brightening Mask that I just tried yesterday… lovely!… Beauty Heroes featured Uma last year, and I hope they revisit that brand again too!). I was surprised to read that The Bean dried down, because I think one of the key ingredients in this mask is honey, which actually prevents it from drying down. Each time I used it, I also kept it on for a prolonged period of time, like KarenG, and it never dried down. One of my most favorite aspects of this mask is how exfoliating it feels when it comes time to rinse it off. Plus, the application of it feels so decadent. I almost re-subbed to Beauty Heroes just to get this mask again, but decided to wait until they sell their past boxes later this year (I’m crossing my fingers this one will still be available!).

Oh!!! And, like I mentioned in the Beauty Heroes spoiler post… make sure to refrigerate this mask! If it’s exposed to even room temperature for even a couple of weeks, it could grow mold on it due to the natural ingredients. But, if refrigerated it could last quite a while. I didn’t start using mine until a few months after I received it in a Mahalo kit, and it was fine.

Luna, you are a doll! I didn’t know they have a fire sale for these boxes! And when I get one I’ll be sure to put it in the fridge.

I’m currently on month 3 of a 6 month sub box hiatus, and I have to keep reminding myself about their sale of past boxes, because I keep feeling sort of bummed about all of the Beauty Heroes boxes I’ve been missing. I’m glad this gives people another option to get their hands on one (or more) of their boxes rather than committing to a 3-month sub. 🙂

Luna, I just placed the mask in the fridge right after reading your comment. 🤗
I actually have a small space set aside for masks and spritzes, so refreshing when applying.

Haha, I have space set aside in my fridge for skincare products (and bars of soap that tend to sweat) too! 😀

One of the most luxurious masks I’ve ever tried and I make a LOT! I love using the brush, it’s an extra pampering step and it applies the mask more evenly. I left mine on for almost an hour and still did t feel dry. My skin feels and looks pampered.
