Did anyone else see iluvsarahii’s insta story? She posted a boxycharm unboxing with becca’a Prosecco pop highlighter, coverfx illuminating spray, tarte lip paint and tarte mascara!

The highlighter was an October spoiler, and I believe the other items were spoilers for October-December? I could be wrong though so correct me if I am!

I am on the waitlist! Finally… who knows when I will get a box but at least I am on the list. Hopefully by October or November….SUPER EXCITED. Thank all you ladies who encouraged me to get it done!

There will also be a Colourpop item in the September box.
I just cancelled my Boxycharm sub (I don’t need or want another neutral brown palette or eyebrow pencil), and one of the “Confirm cancellation” pages told me some of the things I’d miss out on in September by canceling – Pur, MAC, and Colourpop.
I do hope people enjoy their September boxes- it’s just not for me!

Maybe you will move me on up???? I’m super excited. The color palette isn’t for me but my sister will love on her lighter skin tone..

Dang…I’m a blonde with blonde body hair. I wish they had fling as an option so I could try it. I’ll give it to a friend instead.

I’m excited about the Pur Soirée eyeshadow palette. Nikki Tutotials just used it in the makeover she gave Kim Kardashian.
The palette looked beautiful in the video and folds backwards with ease.

I tried to sign up for BoxyCharm last month and filled out everything only to get a “Oh no you’re on the waitlist”. I really don’t like how they don’t tell you this until you have signed up with them. After two weeks I sent them a message that said please cancel my subscription. How ridiculous!

That’s typical for them. It’s a really popular box and usually the waitlist lasts a month or two. Sometimes they’ll eliminate the waitlist for a certain period of time, but that’s pretty infrequent.

Yes!!! I always look forward to an eye pencil or eye product that will fill in my eyebrows.
thank you @ Mac and my all time fave @boxycharm. I am still trying to enjoy my August box. with all the goodies.
Tarte that Palette is awesomely beautiful especially the packaging.
love you

I am hoping this is creamy enough to use as liner. I don’t have to fill my brows.

Bummer, I was going to sign up for this box till they included a vivisector in it. MAC TESTS ON ANIMALS. Don’t be fooled by their website saying they don’t. They sell in China. That means they test on animals. Google it if you want more proof. Companies will tell you anything to get you to buy their products. And they can justify it in their minds. It’s called “cognitive dissonance”. I don’t need anything that bad to justify my hard earned money going to cruelty.

It is my opinion that the company does not test on animals but China does. So if you want to sell in China you know that China will be the one testing. I love animals and do not want harm to come to them and I do not know what is involved in animal testing. But I do know that there are probably millions of dogs and cats that are roaming our country hungry, thirsty and without homes who are being abused. I want to take care of this problem before I attack China for their policies.

But refusing to buy from companies who won’t commit to cruelty-free is something that anyone who cares about animals can do easily and immediately to make a difference. You could find out what happens to animals used in cosmetic testing easily enough.
Lily
Boxycharm does not claim to be cruelty free so there is always a chance the products won’t suit you.
Maybe you could try checking out one of the cruelty free subscriptions- love goodly, vegan cuts beauty/makeup box or petit vour might be good options for you.

Super disappointed that the Mac item is an eyebrow item. Was hoping it would be something else. I have super thick, dark eye brows, so this will be going up for sale/swap

Yeah, I’m a redhead, so I have zero use for eyebrow stuff. Nothing I could use on my eyebrows would ever look natural, and mine are thick enough that I don’t need it anyway. I don’t understand the eyebrow craze lately anyway. I understand people wanting longer, thicker lashes, but brows? With all the time and effort that goes into tweezing and waxing, why would anyone want to make them thicker?

Elizabeth
I have thin hair everywhere. The plus side is I will never have a unibrow, but this means my eyebrows are super patchy and need a ton of filling in, or it looks really weird if I have a face full of makeup (like they’re barely there). They look SO MUCH BETTER after a good brow product is applied.
However, I understand that as a brunette with thin eyebrows and pale skin, I am exactly the target audience for the majority of brow products in these boxes, and a lot of people don’t fit that demographic.
Tracey
Some people aren’t fortunate enough to have eyebrows like yours.
I’m not. 🙂
Cristina
I don’t use eyebrow stuff either, but I’ve seen before and afters of people and having evenly shaped eyebrows makes a big difference to how people look. Especially if eyebrows are too thin from over tweezing/waxing or for white haired eyebrows.

This is a GREAT spoiler. Lingering is one of the best eyebrow pencils in the game. I am so stoaked to be getting this, which I am pretty sure I will based on my coloring!

This is my 2nd month with Boxycharm, and so far both are a total bust. I signed up hoping to get the July box but I got August instead, and it didn’t have a single item I can use. And so far this box looks even worse. I am not impresed at all with the colors in that palette, and I have no use for eyebrow stuff. What a disappointment. I hope the next spoilers improve. I might be cancelling soon. Really wishing I hadn’t signed up for a 3-month sub now.

There are places where you can swap your items. I have loved almost every Boxycharm I have received my year and a half with Boxy. There may have been 1 or 2 busts but for the price you pay, it’s amazing!!

I am excited about this box and can’t wait for the other spoilers as well. I just hope they don’t throw in a nail polish as one of the items, I seriously get nail polishes at least once a month from all the other subscription boxes.

Nail polishes suck in a boz! Especially an awesome box like boxy!

I am beyond thrilled with the spoilers! Boxy charm is unbelieveable! I was paying almost $11 a month for Ipsy, and i am so glad that I canceled and got BoxyCharm. I was lucky enough to get off the waitlist in 1 day! The brands included are amazing- Tarte, PUR, MAC.. I would pay $21 for a brow pencil alone, and I am paying $21 for a mac brow pencil, a gorgeous neutral palette, plus 4 more items.. I honestly don’t know how they are able to offer such a great deal. the boxes arrive fast, and the company is very transparant with spoilers, so if you want to quit the sub, you can do so based on some of the spoilers.
I plan on canceling my Rcahel Zoe BOS , and have canceled IPSY- and instead switched over to Boxycharm , popsugar and Fabfitfun.

I’m always happy to get a brow pencil, it’s a staple in my makeup routine and I’m not attached to any brand so its something I wont have to go out and buy now. I hope I get the darker one but I thought the one we got in July would be too light and I ended up loving it so either shade will probably work for me.

6 items this month?! How do they do it? I’m a palette addict, so the first spoiler makes the whole box worth it for me. I am so happy I quit getting sample boxes and signed up for BoxyCharm instead. I’d never be able to afford the makeup collection I have without them. ❤️❤️❤️

A lot of companies seem to be using Boxychsrm to clear out year-old merch, and when you combine that with the mark-up on makeup it becomes possible!

I’m pretty happy about this – I just started doing my brows as a part of my daily routine with the brow pencil that was sent in the July box and it will be nice to try something different (although I do really like that one).
It’s interesting to me that MAC is showing up in sub boxes lately. It’s always been that “untouchable” brand to me ever since I learned of its existence from my rich college roommate. Now as an adult I don’t even think twice about it even though their prices really aren’t that bad compared to some other higher end makeup lines. Anyway, it’ll be nice to finally get to try something of theirs.

MAC *was* untouchable – until the the internet and rapid spread of Sephora introduced main street to a plethora of other brands at this price point that often do what MAC does better. Now though, they’re realizing they can’t rest on the laurels of just being MAC, hence it showing up at Ulta or in sub boxes.

Not only that, Carrie, but Estée Lauder bought them out a few years ago. (I work for Lauder companies/Clinique) and being under that large Lauder umbrella has them diversifying their marketing strategies more.
Take note that they added a wide range of skin care, etc., to their line in recent years.
Laura
Yay another brow pencil I can’t use. Eyeliner is one thing because it doesn’t need to match skin tones or hair color but brow pencils are very easy to make not match. Even if it does match I can’t use brow pencils. This will most likely be going into the pile of things I’m sending to my mother.

Try is a an eyeliner. It’s very smooth and won’t tug, plus the dark brown color is neutral and great for blending! 😊

Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge Taren!!I was wondering exactly that,I already use kabrow from benefit that works great for my eyebrows so immediately I was hoping that I could use as an eyeliner!

lingering is a universal color it works on almost every person. When I worked at MAC it was one of the only eyebrow pencil’s I’d use on people.

Was excited about MAC but sad that it’s an eyebrow pencil. I don’t need them or use them. And we just got one in July. Meh.

Why do eyebrow pencils from all brands have this weird-shaped tip? Every single one I ever got from sub boxes always broke when I tried to use it. 🙁 A makeup artist told me to use brown eyeshadow instead, and that works great. What’s with that weird tip?

After seeing the PUR palette I knew I had to have the September box. After seeing the MAC brow pencil I may honestly cry if I don’t get off the waitlist for September. LUL

If I want to sign up to get September’s box do I sign up now or wait until the 1st of Sep. ??? Please help! I’m so confused, on the website it only says to sign up for this month’s box.

Kaleigh
If you want to guarantee that you won’t get a previous month’s box, you have to wait until the first of the month to subscribe. If you subscribe now there’s a chance that you will get off the waitlist in August and still be sent the August box, then charged again for September. However, if you wait until September 1 to make sure you don’t get the August box, it’s possible that you’ll be too far down in line and will be on the waitlist all through September. It’s a low chance, but it has happened.
