Set of 5 Hair Ties by Zobha - Value $5.00?
There were hair ties just like these in last month's Ellie, too. My hair is still too short to get much use out of these (though I am creeping ever closer to the teeny-weeny-90s-pigtails look), but I'm happy to have them around. It's always nice to be the hero friend who has a spare hair tie in her purse, and it's even better when that hair tie is super cute!
Marika Ab Wheel - Value $12.99
I haven't seen one of these ab wheels since I was in college—I had totally forgotten about them! I love this exercise tool. It's so simple and yet so effective. This (surprisingly pretty) mint-green ab wheel comes in a few parts that are easy to assemble. The handles are a bit cushy, which makes using it easier on your wrists. And the gentle tread on the "tire" of the wheel helps you feel stable (well, helps the wheel feel stable) as it rolls along the floor or my mat.
If you've never seen one in action before, you can turn to this handy instructions page for guidance. The basic idea is that you get into a knees-down push-up position with your hands on either handle of the wheel, then using your abs (and shoulders and back to an extent), you push the wheel forward, backward, and out to the sides. Sounds easy, right? After a minute or so, you'll be feeling it! This is the perfect easy exercise to do while you're listening to a podcast or watching a show on your laptop (just pop it on the floor so you can keep your neck in line with your spine).
Bally Cooling Towel - Value $3.99
What a space-age find! This towel feels a little bit like a super-thin, soft yoga mat, and it really does legitimately feel cool (not cold like an ice pack, but refreshing like a cool drink of water from a fountain)! I'm the type who is always cold and can never be too warm, so I don't think I'll be using this a whole lot. But I'm thrilled to have it for my boyfriend, who seems like he can never get cool enough (especially this humid summer)! I wouldn't be surprised if he sleeps with this endlessly cool sheet draped over his chest, ha!
Here's the outfit for this month!
Marika Energize Singlet - Value $16.99
I love the neon pink pop of this top. The front is made from a comfy, breezy knit, and the back is mesh, which is perfect for a sweaty jog around the neighborhood.
It looks a little more orange in this photo than it does in real life. I'd say the color is a bit more of a hot coral pink. Either way, this is a nice colorful diversion from my usual palette of blacks and grays. It's just minimal and crisp enough that it still fits my aesthetic.
Marika Capri Leggings - Value $55.00?
I couldn't find these leggings online, so I linked to a similar style to give an idea of value. The fabric is a nice medium-weight, which makes them feel sturdy and secure. I love the higher waist and wide waistband (which has a little pocket just inside it for keys or cash). Capris really aren't my favorite—I prefer full-length bottoms, since capris always make me feel even shorter than I am. But these are pretty much perfect for summer with their bright pop of coral pink.
Zobha Sports Bra - Value $55.00?
This bra is awesome! I can't find it online, so I linked to another Zobha brand bra for reference. I love racerback bras like this one that are higher cut in the front. I feel super secure in it, and the cutout pattern running down the middle of the back and front of the bra helps this style feel special and a little flirty, too. The open back is much appreciated during a sweaty vinyasa!
Verdict: This box is so fun! I got about $150.00 of products for just about $50.00, which is awesome. I love the quality of these items, and I feel like they all fit surprisingly well. Best of all, this box contains a fitness outfit with pieces that match really well—other boxes just have random pieces that don't necessarily coordinate. And the additional tools and accessories aren't bad either!
