Le Tote is a month-to-month clothing rental subscription. When you sign up, you complete a detailed profile of your sizing and style, you browse their catalog of clothing and accessories and create your “closet,” from which they select items to send to you. Le Tote will email you before your box ships, where you have 48 hours to ‘swap’ any items in your bag. You keep the clothing to wear as long as you like, and you can also send back your box in the pre-paid envelope for a new selection of items as frequently as you like. If you love something enough to want to purchase it, you can simply hold onto it when you send the rest of that box back, and you’ll get that item for the low Le Tote price. Also, if you keep everything from your box, the next month box you receive is free!
FYI – the items in my Le Tote boxes are selected for me based off of my preferences and style profile, so your boxes may look completely different!
My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

The box comes with a customized booklet, which I have to note is probably the highest quality box booklet I have seen, highlighting the name and description of each item from your box along with the on model images. There is also an area that goes over the 'renting' process and that you can get your next month's box for free if you keep everything from your current package! One thing to note that I found very helpful was that I need to send anything back that I don't want to purchase by August 17th. I didn't realize based on what I read on the website that there was a specific return date, but it is great to see that they go over that in this booklet.
Making a return can always be a hassle, but they make it super easy by providing you with a pre-paid return envelope! All you have to do is package up what you want to return and send it off.
Let’s see what products I got this month!
Splendid Off Shoulder Striped Top - retail: $98, Le Tote price: $49
I swapped this top into my bag for the month because I love the off the shoulder look but don’t own many of this style! The fabric is light and soft, perfect for warmer weather, but would transition easily from spring into summer - summer into fall. While I loved this top, I wasn’t crazy about the fit. I have a longer torso so it felt a little too short and too tight in certain areas. This would absolutely be a keeper for me though if the fit was a little longer on me.
Ava Beaded Tassel Earring - retail: $28, Le Tote price: $22
I was excited to see earrings this month because I normally never wear anything this bold! I have been seeing styles like this a lot lately, and these will absolutely be something I purchase. Normally, earrings of this size are too heavy for me to wear all day, but these have a strong back that made it feel as though I wasn’t wearing a statement earring! Again, I normally don’t wear anything this bold, but I really have found that these can be added to a lot of different outfits for work or to a date night out!
Clement Double Bar Crystal Ring - retail: $22, Le Tote price: $16
This ring was exactly my style! I love rings that are unique but not too flashy or oversized since I have a toddler. I was a little nervous when I saw that I would be getting a non-sized jewelry item, but this style fits me perfect most likely because of the open bar design. This ring is a keeper!
Tart Side Slit Maxi Dress - retail: $148, Le Tote price: $49
I swapped this maxi dress into my bag this month because I am always looking for longer styles that are easy to wear when chasing after a toddler. I was a little sad because this dress didn’t fit me the way I thought it would. It was very snug in all the wrong areas and the top came down a little lower than I would have liked. I think a size up would help the snug fit, but it would just make the deep v even lower which I don’t want. Overall, the dress was really beautiful with a high-quality fabric and soft feel to it. I would have absolutely loved this dress if the fit was a little better.
Octavia Bow Neck Maxi Dress - retail: $72, Le Tote price: $58
This was another item that I swapped into my bag this month, actually because my husband said he really liked it for me! He was right, I loved this dress so much and will be keeping it! The fit was perfect, hugging in at the waist and then flowing down with the beautiful hemline detail. I normally don’t like a bow neck, but this one doesn’t feel too in your face. This is a style that I can feel great in wearing to work, out with my son, in the summer with sandals, and even into the fall with boots. What a great pick!
Verdict: I think the great part about Le Tote is that you can ‘rent’ the items to wear before deciding to buy or send back. I still really liked the off the shoulder top, and am thinking now that maybe I just need to style it differently. With the renting aspect of this box, I will get to do that! I thought the feature where they email you and you have 48 hours to swap items in your bag was great! I didn’t like any of the items that were originally selected for me so I swapped in new items. I am going to skip using that feature next month though to see what their curated collection for me has to offer!
In terms of value, I think this box is a great option for a lot of different reasons! I myself am a busy mom and don’t really get out to shop that often anymore, but I also am still trying to figure out my new ‘toddler mom’ style that allows me to feel great and be active with my son. This box would be great for someone with a busy social calendar that maybe wants to have more day to day pieces that they can simply rent to wear without having to buy, or for someone that is just starting a new phase in their life and figuring out their style (would be great for a new college grad). Le Tote seems to really be all about you the customer so I think the value is totally worth it!
