When you sign up for Little Starters, you’ll be guided through a quick quiz to select your sizing and styling preferences for your child. You can pick your child’s favorite colors, colors you like to avoid (we avoid black, bright colors are so much more fun!), and types of clothing you may avoid (such as tank tops or dresses). It was so easy to sign up and you only pay for what you keep, free shipping and free returns. Little Starters comes out with their own unique designs and prints every four weeks so even if you go with the monthly delivery you’ll always be surprised with new designs! They send 7 items each month and you have 7 days to try them on and send back what you’re not keeping.
A price list was also included. If I decide to keep the entire box, Little Starters offers a 20% discount.
Chocolate Donut Tank – Cost to keep: $12.50
We all loved this sweet fun chocolate frosted donut print. There are even sprinkles scattered about to make it more deliciously cute. The tank is a cotton/modal blend with a nice amount of stretch. It’s nice and light for summer.
Confetti Stretch Shorts in Pink - Cost to keep: $9.50
These shorts are fitted like bicycle shorts. They are tighter than the style of shorts my daughter normally wears, but she loved them. They also have good stretch due to 5% spandex.
Short Sleeve Gold Star Tee - Cost to keep: $12.50
This 100% cotton tee has a large shiny gold star on the front and a cool vibe. My daughter loved this shirt too!
Here is my daughter wearing the pink shorts again with the gold star shirt. Such a casual and comfortable pairing.
Gold Cactus Leggings in Heather Gray - Cost to keep: $17.50
Cactus leggings?! Little Starters seriously comes up with awesome designs. These heather gray leggings are just the right thickness to wear on cool summer evenings and transition into fall. Plus they were long enough for my tall daughter.
Cactus Flutter Sleeve Top - Cost to keep: $15.50
Swooning over this shirt, we are all swooning! This cactus print with shades of lime, Kelly and aqua green with the flutter detailing is simply the best. I wish they had this in my size!
Star Tank Dress - Cost to keep: $17.50
This reddish pink star print dress was 100% cotton and had a great swing to it. I don’t put my daughter in much red, but I love how she looks in this beautiful shade! The dress has three buttons at the back of the neckline, but the neck hole was big enough that it slipped easily right over my daughter’s head.
Confetti Kaftan Dress in Orange Crush - Cost to keep: $21.50
This peach dress has a slight speckly pattern to it with nubby shades of darker orange throughout. It is cotton and spandex with an elastic waist. The drawstring isn’t functional, just decoration. While I thought the color and boat neck style was cute, the dress as a whole just didn’t fit my daughter well. It looks a bit too big and wasn’t flattering.
Verdict: We had a lot of fun unpacking and modeling our Little Starters box. I think their pricing is amazing. I loved their bright colors, fun patterns and that nothing was polyester! Some of the fun quirky patterns reminded me of Anthropologie (my favorite store), but for kids. The only negative thing about Little Starters, in my opinion, is that they stop at size 4! Please, please consider going up to size 5 or 6 so my daughter can have these unique, well-made, fun clothes for a few more years. With free shipping and return shipping, competitive pricing and no styling fee, if you have a little one in your life I would run to sign up for this box!
