LuxePineapple August 2017 Beauty Subscription Box

I appreciate that LuxePineapple included an information card describing each item and why it was selected. This month’s LuxePineapple Post box featured products from woman-owned small businesses.

FootGloss All Natural Foot Prep - 0.25 oz. Value $10

FootGloss is a balm which you can apply daily to your feet before putting on shoes that may hurt. The info card says “The all-natural formula creates a thin, invisible barrier on your skin to help eliminate friction and stop blisters before they begin”. What an innovative product!

Since my feet are a little wide, I get blisters regularly. Today I applied this balm over the dry area on my feet where my skin peels off from friction, and I noticed that it soothed my dry patches instantly. After putting this product to the test by wearing my not-so-comfortable sandals and walking around all afternoon, I have to say that it worked! My feet felt comfortable all day, and there wasn’t any redness from friction on my feet at all!

Dermadeli Pumpkin Seed Serum - 1 fl.oz. Value $27.99

Another great all-natural product! This pumpkin seed serum is fragrance-free, fast absorbing, and very nourishing. I used it on my face in the morning, and my hands throughout the day and I have to say that I prefer to use it on my hands a little bit more since it moisturized my skin without leaving any oily-residue or slippery feeling. I’m going to keep it on my work desk permanently!

Earth Meets Water Linen & Room Mists in Flamingo Stance - 2 oz. Value $8

Subscribers were able to choose between the two options:

Mermaid Lagoon: Blooming Moon Flowers and Awapuhi Sea Berries. A clean beachy/clean laundry type scent.

Flamingo Stance: A minty mix of Water Lily and Birds of Paradise. This scent is light and minty fresh.

My choice was Flamingo Stance - but the scent is not really what I imagined. (I am not the best perfume/scent describer, but I think that this scent is more of a sweet floral - not much of a minty fresh scent.) However, I like that this mist is made of phthalate free fragrance & essential oils, and it’s even safe to use as body mist! While the scent as body mist is a little too overwhelming, I find it to be a great room mist for my bathroom.

Cee Cee & Bee Tub Tea in Summer Nights - Value $9

I haven’t been taking a lot of baths during summer months, so this item gave me a perfect chance to unwind after a tiring week! This tub tea is filled with lavender, chamomile, dried rose petals, green tea, whole milk powder, and oatmeal. I brewed it in boiled water before pouring it into a warm bath as suggested. I really enjoyed the calm and relaxing experience. What a treat!

Verdict: This month’s LuxePineapple Post has a value of $54.99, which is more than twice the cost of the box! I think it’s great for a box dedicated to small, women-owned businesses and their items are always different from what I receive in every other box. The curation this month was fantastic! The products were of great quality and together they gave me a very pleasant experience!

Jira discovered the world of subscription boxes when she first moved to New York in 2017 (subscription box is not a thing in her home country!). Thanks to MSA, she's now subscribed to almost 10 beauty and lifestyle boxes, with FabFitFun, BeautyFIX, and Clean Beauty Box as her favorites. Ps. Her boyfriend thinks that she's only subscribed to Ipsy, so please keep this a secret between us ;-)

So happy about this box! I’ve been semi-disappointed with LP lately so this box was a huge comeback for me as I’m keeping everything! Great job LP!!!

Would the tea leaves clog your tub?

Rachel

It says right on it to put the tea bag in boiled water then remove the tea bag and add the “brewed tea mixture” to your bath. You’re dumping the “tea water” into your tub and throwing out the “tea.”

I think you put the leaves etc in the muslin bag to steep, then put the “tea” into the bath, so no clogs!

You keep everything in the sachet, like a tea bag for drinking purposes.
